We've been getting our cars serviced by Kedir & his team, for years. We've tried another mechanic closer to home but they don't compare to BP. Went in to get my state/emissions inspection done and waited no time at all. Drove up to the bay door labeled "state emissions inspection", they saw us drive in and before we even entered the building they took the keys and got started. In car repair, nothing matters more than honesty - and there is none here. I purchased a package of 3 oil changes and assorted other services. Each visit came with upsell attempts. At the second change, I brought my own synthetic oil (as I was entitled to do). The owner complained that he was losing money if he couldn't sell me oil (at what he falsely represented were competitive prices). He offered to extend the expiration date of the package if I agreed to purchase the oil upgrade from him on the third change. I scheduled the third change and drove over an hour for the appointment. They refused to do the oil change unless I paid their full retail price again, claiming extending the deadline was "against store policy." I also never received the other assorted services contained in the package. There are lots of dishonest car repair places out there. Who needs one more? read more

Car maintenance... Let's face it... It's kind of a pain...! But when something needs to get done, there are 3 things I look for... 1.) cost, 2.) quality of work/customer service and 3.) time-efficient. Work wise, I can only speak to getting my state inspection here. Being the procrastinator I am, I waited until my inspection expired! Terrible mistake...since the state inspection lines are the absolute longest at the end and beginning of the month! Thinking I would need to waste a whole morning on a beautiful summer Saturday for annoying car maintenance, I was pleasantly surprised to find there was only one car ahead of me! I was in and out in about 20-25 mins! (Practically unheard of on a Saturday morning AND the 2nd day in a new inspection month!) While I waited, the associate, Ali, was courteous and chatty. Han, the mechanic, was very courteous as well! Even the manager, Kedir, gave me his business card and welcomed my feedback on my experience. Customer service is lacking in a lot of places, so it was refreshing to have unexpectedly positive experience here! I can't speak to any other maintenance work, nor did I peruse the convenience store section. However, I can say it seemed clean and the walls were painted a fresh shade of BP lime green. read more

I told him that I am not at a doctor's place. Then he started telling me that rent of three shops and their maintenance. I felt trapped there and I was forced to do that because he was charging me 126 $ for not doing anything. Later I enquired from VW dealership for the price for changing the spark plug. They gave me a quote of 163 $ inclusive of labor charges. Note they also mentioned that its not necessary to change the spark plug on 60k. Probably the best automotive experience I have ever had. I came here originally for an oil change. I was greeted by Nedir, the manager I believe. He set me up with the paperwork and asked if there was anything else I could get done. I needed my window regulator fixed (I had rejection stickers) but I had no intention of getting this done. He ended up giving me a price quote (149) so I said sure. Anyways, it comes out that I didn't need a new regulator, the cable was just out of place. He fixed it at no charge (still paid the cost of labor, 98 bucks) but I saved 50 bucks and I passed the inspection. He is an honest guy and another perk was that I never had to wait for my car in line. I also saw other customers come in and go ASAP with no wait. Great customer service. Great job and this will be my new go to for all of my car problems. Also, Don't pay attention to Alans 1 star review. All of his reviews he has posted on Yelp are 1 star. read more

The mechanic shop does not have ASE certified mechanics. They assume they have been in business for 20 years that maybe true, but look at the county tax records how many times it's been purchased. I came in for a simple transmission flush my transmission uses a total of 17 quarts. I saw what They did they dropped 10 quarts and charged me for 13 quarts. They are only good for oil changes and pads and rotors. The manager if you don't believe in His therapy when he talks to you, he gets nasty with you and talks with food in his mouth. Kadir with glasses thinks he knows everything but is not ASE certified. Don't buy the coupon of 3 free oil changes it's a scam and wont honor it. You buy 6 oil changes and give you one free. Then say the company over sold you the coupons that it's the marketers fault. So if you like to get over charged go ahead. read more

I have very bad experience in this garage. I bought a coupon for three times oil change in this BP garage. For the first time, I asked them to do the tire rotation and oil change. When I got my car back, I found they didn't touch the tires at all. For the second times, I tried to make an appointment for oil change, but the owner refused because I don't want to do more service in his shop. The labor fee looks like more, but the price of fluid and parts are three times higher than Auto Parts.If you want to keep your car well, stay away from this garage. read more

Went to this station to get my state and that's when I realized I was in desperate need of new tires. I was so fortunate to have gone here because not only did the let me know how worn out my tires were by physically showing me, but they were also very helpful in providing me with the resources to get them fixed! Within 2 days of not passing my inspection they were able to schedule me in and change my tires! The best part of it all was that they were very reasonable priced, very professional, and had great customer service! I highly recommend using this station! read more

The owner is the MOST honest guy. I stopped in to see if I needed a freon charge before crossing the country and he tested it and said I didn't need it. Then, I went back the next day because of a dashboard rattle. He couldn't find it after taking it for a test drive. Went back the next morning when the rattle was obvious and he discovered it was just a cabin air filter that needed to be replaced. Being a single female, I can't convey how important it is to me to have an honest mechanic and one who was willing to drop everything and help me in a moment's notice as I was taking off on a major trip. NOT A PLACE TO TRUST, RUN....RUN FAST OR DRIVE let me start with just basic inspection of my vehicle, didn't pass because of tie rods and the service manager said we could give you an estimate to fix the problem, the parts that cost $100.00 he quoted me $500.00 and labor another whopping $500.00 and I took their estimate and took it to my mechanic the whole thing cost me $489.00 parts and labor over international automotive in Chantilly VA, Today my son car had a flat tire at his school and I called them a lady answer the phone and said the cost to repair the flat tire would be $20.00 I asked her if she can do it for $15.00 since every places charge and I get gas and take my cars for inspections, state and emission and she said hold on and couple of minutes the smart service manager came on the phone and said that our fee would be $25.00 to fix your tire if the tire still in your car, I asked him you can fix a flat tire if the tire still attached in the car and I told him how the flat tire could be still attached to the car if it is flat, I said no I put the spare tire and start his pitch if I remove the spare tire from the car and fix the flat tire and install it it will cost you $45.00 I said you just quoted $25.00 and then went on and on said if I put the spare back it might take me half and hour I am driving a Mercedes Benz and it take me less then 2 minuets to take out the spare tire. Went here for a state inspection on 3/31/18. Customer services was excellent and services was completed very fast. I actually passed this gas station and went across the street to shell gas station for the inspection but after a long wait of 4 cars in front of me and each car taking 30-40 mins to finish I decided to go to BP as I only saw 1 car in line. I am so glad I did, because after BP finished my inspection I looked across the street and saw that the Shell gas inspection line had not even moved. I originally started coming to this service station to get gas prior to getting on Route 66. Then one time the manager, Kedir, noticed my inspection was about to expire and told me they did inspections. So fortunate he told me as I did not notice and it had one day left !! That was almost 10 years ago! Now both my children drive and we know they can take the cars to this station and they will service only what's needed.
