If i could put negative stars i would put -10!
I originally went to buy some front and rear sights for my AR. I noticed their prices are through the roof. I use to shop at the old battlefield and they had normal prices. well as soon as i saw the price,i whipped out my phone to see what the going rate is at other places. once i saw that his price was about 15 dollars per item over what i could get them for, i decided to think about my purchase by walking around the store and looking at other things i might buy. well when i was using my phone checking prices of other things, the owner decided to corner me and said "if you want to know the prices just ask." i said I'm checking to see how your prices compare to other places. and he replied "you need to leave! "I started laughing and he grabbed my arm. at this point i got mad. i said F*&@ you! i cant check other prices from your competitors? He said "No, not in my store its not allowed". as he ushered me out, he asked who i worked for? like i was spying on his business. i was saying plenty of things to him about being a free country, and consumers have the right to pick and choose as they see fit. He didn't seem to care. So UN AMERICAN it makes me sick. I served my country to protect our constitution, so Pieces of S^$! like him can own a store and make money off people how he sees fit. But he won't allow me to choose where i spend my money as i see fit..I hope his business goes under, i have no respect for people like that. funny thing is i really needed those front sights for this weekend so i probably would have caved and spent the money. what an idiot!
8 HOURS LATER......
I got an email asking me to edit my review from a store employee. In his email he explained to me he was a veteran him self, and he doesn't feel the owner was being un American at all and he was offended by that. So what i meant was by not letting me exercise my rights as a consumer in the united states freely, compare prices, shop around with the confidence, not having to hide what I'm doing, because it might upset someone else, telling me what i can and cant do... that's un American.
As for my story about how things unfolded at the end. I was told my story wasn't so truthful, and he has witnesses from surrounding businesses that can attest to my awful mouth.. and he is absolutely right. For that i apologize to those around that had to hear and see me act that way, it was not directed at the public. When i was forced to leave something came over me and i stared taking pictures of the store front and shouted at them calling them names like "faggots" and other things that should never come out of my mouth. My gay friends would have been disgusted with me.
I take back nothing i said about how the owner conducted himself, you never put your hands on someone, i think maybe he realized that after the fact, but by then it was to late.
My mistake was not being the bigger man and just leaving, and using horrible obscenities. I'm sorry..
As for there prices on the actual piece i was trying to buy, he was in normal retail range for that item you wont find magpul items much cheaper anywhere else.. i was actually referring to some other items i was able to glance at before i was forced out.. again sorry for the mini novel just needed to tell the whole story so the witnesses that were unfortunate to see that know I'm not holding anything back..
The point is not how i acted on my visit, the point is the owner does not want people comparing prices on their phones, he was threatened by what i was doing. Yelp is a tool for consumers to use, all i was doing was using a different type of tool.. read more
