Take your cone of deliciousness to the harbor!
    Ann Y.

This is for both the focaceria and the misto takeaway. The focaccia with cheese and pesto was basic but tasty. If you want "pizza" it will satisfy. The rice torte with zucchini was very good and a bit different. Worth a try! Now onto the fritto misti. The little cone of fried goodness was in the hands of a lady on the harbor and it looked so good I thought I would have an afternoon snack. I am so glad I did! Little fried anchovies to eat whole, calamari and cod balls. They had other tasty treats. Croquettas, mussels, crab claws, French fries, etc. the fry was very light and it was delicious. The cod balls were delicious! Buy a bottle of cold wine or beer and take it down to the harbor. You won't be sorry. Don't be afraid to eat the whole fish! They were delicious! That is the point, yes the heads too!!!

    tricolore pizza! (pesto pizza)

Awesome, Awesome pizza. Batti Batti is an easily missed tiny "sandwich shop" (yelp is incorrect on sandwich shop) in a small part of the Cinque Terre villages - Vernazza. Do not be deceived, this tiny pizza place delivers some of the best Pizza we've had. Keep in mind that this entire region of Italy is well known for it's pesto, and Batti Batti delivers accordingly. I would strongly, strongly recommend the tricolore pizza with the pesto, and really anything here - food is phenomenal and inexpensive. There's not much to be said of a tiny location other than that trying the food here is an absolute, absolute must. If you're going for a crazy pesto food stop, make this location in vernazza the place to go. When you get off the train and you're walking towards the coast it'll be on your right side. Just look for where a ton of people are lined up eating pieces of pizza in the narrow street area, way before the pier.

Margarita Pizza. mushroom/onion, pesto, and a pesto quiche

Was out here two weeks ago traveling Europe with my girlfriend. We stayed in Vernazza, after walking the Main Street we popped into this place for focaccia pizza. We ended up getting a slice of the margarita, pesto, and mushroom/onion of pizza. We also ordered a slice of pesto quiche. The food here was fantastic. The focaccia bread itself was worth it. What a great twist on your classic slice of pizza. The margarita pizza was really good! The Pesto Pizza had great flavor. The mushroom/onion had great flavor- more like an American pizza would taste. The quiche was also pretty good. The name over the door wasn't Batti Batti - but after asking the girl behind the counter - she said it was the same owner as Batti Batti. This place is so good they have a pizza place and a fried seafood spot. Both were amazing! Definitely a place to stop by for really good pizza or fried Seafood!

Another great little place in Vernazza where you can just walk up, grab whatever looks tasty, and be on your way. No muss, no fuss. I LAVA it!! And besides being super affordable and not having to wait for waiter service, this place boasts some mean focaccia bread pizza delights. They warm them up in their oven, and out comes crispy, little slices of pizza heaven. So good! Also, if you're feeling like a beer would taste better than that soda with your grub, they'll pop one open for ya! Gotta love Italy! :) So go, enjoy some tasty 'street' food. You won't regret it!

Best place to try pizza in Italy. They have good vegetarian selection.

    simple fried menu

more fried seafood in a cone...simple fried menu hanging on the entrance door hinge...fried potatoes 3€...fried vegetables 4€...shrimp, anchovies, calamari or mixed combination for 8€ small (12€ for large sizes)...additional food options, but getting what's popular....ordering at the counter a cone of the calamari...freshly fried and hot...lemon wedges provided on a stick...find a bench or steps outside to enjoy...finding the batter thicker and bit too greasy....not much inside the cone...a decent snack between walks...

After our hike through Monterosso, we came looking for some food at 10:30 in the morning. Thank goodness this place was open though, because otherwise, we would've starved through the rest of the hike! Personally, I've never heard of focaccia, but afterwards, I am definitely going to attempt to look for some restaurants that sell it. If you do not know, focaccia is a square pizza-like food. From this experience, the bread is a bit more airy than normal pizza bread, in addition to the absence of the high amount of marinara sauce on it. The toppings of this type of food are the stars of the show, and this place has many different options available. I also love that all of their options are vegetarian, in addition to having some no-cheese options. DEFINITELY a must have! I had the vegetarian one with onions and peppers on it. The portion sizes are pretty big too, as I got full off of one portion. Definitely recommend coming here. You won't regret it.

this place is so good. the bread is perfect crispy texture. i think it's so much better than pizza. the flavour jumped out and i am so amazed. i forgot what i ordered but i am so happy for my purchase. i'm currently on a hike throughout the mountains and found this. it's so delicious i can't even describe the flavor. these are all vegetarian options which is so amazing.

Good display. They make them hot to order though if you ask.

Good fried seafood! Would earn the 5th star if it was cooked fresh per order. Cod was delicious, but food was just warm.

Loved the pesto pizza focaccia and other with pancetta, but the best was the pesto focaccia (has tons of cheese).
