This place is super awesome, I've only been there a few times but I definitely recommend going there!

Their warranty is a complete joke. 2 yr old $275 Duracell Ultra Platinum battery with 4 yr warranty wouldn't take a charge and its deemed void. What's the point of buying from you if you void the warranty. That was entire reason I bought from Batteries+. I explained to Garret(?) at the desk it would not start the vehicle after the freeze. It showing 7volts at the time. I removed it and put on a AGM charger. It would charge to 13.1V but not hold, instantly starting to fall back down. I brought it in a few months later, they told me they would attempt to bring it up to charge by reconditing it, and would receive a call in 48hrs. Four days laters, I go in because no call, and was then told it void because reconditing failed. Wouldn't that be about the time replacing the battery under warranty take effect...nope not at Batteries+. read more

So I go into Batteries Plus for a couple of watch batteries. A gentleman asked if I needed help and I said I need two different watch batteries and I gave him the numbers I had written down on a piece of paper. He checked and said they had the one battery but it wasn't for sale to customers and they could install it in the watch if I bought I bought it and they installed it but would not just sell me the battery. I gave him the other number and he said the same thing. I asked if I bought the batteries then they would install them for free? He said no there is a $23.95 charge to install the battery in the watches. Each watch! Now not long ago I bought a new battery for my pickup and they only charged me $20.00 to swap out the battery. At the interstate battery store. Now I can go to Amazon and buy a 10 pack of batteries for less that $7.00. If you have ever installed a watch battery then you know that it only takes less than 5 minutes tops! For them to want $23.95 was just plain crazy! So as a result Batteries Plus lost a customer. That is why these stores go out of business. When you try to RIP people off then they move on! Hope you are happy Batteries Plus! read more

I went to the store in Tyler, Texas last Friday, 2/26/2021, to get (2) new CR-2032 button batteries for my weather station. Bought a package of (2) for $8.65. Get home and install one on Saturday. About an hour later my weather station starts beeping. I look closely at the weather station and the "LOW BATTERY" warning is lit. They sold me old batteries that are no better than the one I took out. read more

I called. They answered. My wife is pregnant and the alarm company has been calling me between 1:00 am and 4:00 am to remind me my stinking battery is low. My wife came home and I said hey I did the dishes. She cut to the bone and said, yea but did you change the alarm battery? The man working the counter was from Chicago. Horrible service! They tell you they will call when your item is done...THEY NEVER DO! When you try to call, the phone just rings and rings, and their VOICEMAIL IS FULL, so you can't even leave a message.........what kind of crap place is this? Someone needs to MANAGE this place, MUCH BETTER than they are! read more

Wow...I have never been treated so rudely. I was returning a charger for my father in law that was still under warranty, I have done this before so I figured no big deal and the young man helping me was very helpful. The problem was the manager of the store. As I was being helped he looked over chuckled and stated that it was abuse that caused the damage. They looked up the number and showed it would have to be ordered and once again the "manager" chuckled and said it was damaged and warranty wouldn't cover it. Then the gentleman helping me said he didn't know if it was abuse or not so he would cover it. Once again the "Manager" named Gene chuckles and says that's abuse. After a few moments he laughs again and ONCE AGAIN states that's abuse to the gentleman helping me and that they shouldn't cover it but since he already said he would they would. At this point I got aggravated and told the manager if he has issues he should talk to the guy in the back (at the time I didn't know he was the store manager) and NOT LAUGH at the customer. At which point he apologized and tried to be helpful but I should not have had to have him laughing nor should he be chastising his employee in front of customers (2 others in line behind me.) I will get this warranty charger here then I will take my business to the batteries plus near Green Acres Church. ***** UPDATE: Came in again and apparently Gene didn't remember me. Still had a smart attitude but I could tell it was a ruse. Definitely will not spend money in this store. read more

The manager in this store is absolutley the crassest individual I have ever run across at ANY business establishment. I have shopped there quite often, and until today, I have always found it to be an excellent and very helpful staff. Perhaps it was a cancellation that ticked the bespectacled gray-haired "manager off, but he started yelling to his staff that he wanted me "outta my store". Don't worry pal, Interstate Batteries is right up the street, and rest assured, neither I nor anyone I know or meet will shop in "your store"! I came back into the store on 4/28/22 at 7:30 pm to return a 12 volt battery. No problem with returning it, but the dark haired, tall heavier set guy at the counter was rude as heck. He acted grumpy and put out from the moment I came in. I accidentally put a Lowe's receipt on the counter unread of the battery one and he got snappy with me when he pointed out it "is a Lowe's receipt sir!" When I asked him about special ordering the battery size I needed, he made up every excuse in the world. I had everything he said he needed to special order it as he tried to throw out obstacles of info he needed to order right one. I told him 3 or 4 times that I had the info he said he needed. He handed me my receipt and went on to the next customer without a word about getting me the right battery. This guy knew I wanted to order the right one and he just brushed me off. I don't appreciate this kind of service. Covid is NOT a good excuse. I would not want someone like him representing my business and losing customers and sales. read more

Do not take your phone here for repairs. They smashed the tines on my phone when they were supposed to be fixing the cracked screen. They never told us. My daughter said it was "glitching" I took it to a professional who took it apart and showed me what they had done. Do NOT go there to have your iPhone's cracked screen fixed!!! They don't know what they are doing! They over-promise when they can get things done. Didn't tell me the first time around that they have no repairman on the weekends. The first replacement screen was defective. Second replacement defective , would shut and open multiple apps like crazy and type gibberish when I tried texting , the third screen- defective AND they broke the button and had to send away for a replacement, meanwhile I discover the sound for phone tone, alarm tones and notification tones stopped working!! They replaced the button and now I can't hear phone calls unless its on speaker! !! I am a patient person but I'm done with them messing with my phone! After 2 1/2 weeks of dealing with this nightmare I asked for a refund. I will go somewhere. Meanwhile the world will hear my phone calls.:-( read more

I went in to buy a new battery for my car key fob. After purchasing a battery, it went out within two weeks! I went back in and they switched it for a new battery explaining that some key fobs use more battery than others. I explained that my last original battery lasted four years, so the two weeks seemed drastic. With the second battery it to lasted two weeks before going out. At this point they told me I would now have to buy another one. So I would have to buy a new battery every two weeks?? I went to brookshires and bought two batteries for $4 and it's now three months in and going strong! Did I mention they charged roughly $8 for a single battery? I thought going to an actual battery store would bring good quality, that is NOT the case with this store. I will now buy batteries from regular retail stores. read more

I went in the store to have them repair an iPhone SE screen, which they advertise they do. There was an older man and a younger man at the counter. I asked the older man if he could repair my iPhone, and he said sure. The younger man, a rude and pretentious sort, said "can't do it till 11, thats when the tech comes in". He told the older man it was an iPhone 5. I said that it was an iPhone SE, younger man said no, its a 5...I mean, its my phone after all! The older man tried to save the sale, and say they could do it but would have to order a part....i said not thanks, grabbed my phone and left. when i was searching for another place to fix my phone in the truck, the younger man was making hand motions towards me to get out of his parking lot. Ill never go back there even if stranded on side of road and starving. I went to cole cellular who fixed it fast, affordable and without the attitude. Please don't go here. read more

I called to speak with someone in their office regarding a statement that was received at my job and tried to explain to the guy that this bill did not belong to us and that we were being charged for an old bill plus a new one, both were the same amount. The man was extremely rude and acted like to couldn't even be bothered to speak with me. He barked at me and told me to rip up the bill and not to worry about it, that he would leave a message for his manager to fix it. Mind you, he didn't even ask the name of where I worked, so how are you going to have the manager take care of it when you don't even know who the bill is for?? One of my managers went to the store to try and figure out who had purchased these items, but the did not have a name on the order. First of all, that is bad business on their part for not getting a name, especially on an account that is a charge account. Second of all, when there are several businesses in the area with the same name, just in different cities, you need to make sure you have the correct city before just billing to the first one you come across. I am writing this review to make others aware out there that if you have a charge account with this company and you are billed for something that does not belong to you, good luck getting things squared away.
