They told me it would be a few days because they had to order the part. No problem. On Saturday, I receive a voice mail from them telling me that my iPad was ready. I went on Monday morning to pick it up, and they told me that they were just starting to work on it. I told them about the voice message, and they denied it even though it came from their phone number. So, I had driven 30 miles for nothing. They said it should be ready the next day (Tuesday) and they would call me. I didn't hear from them on Tuesday, so I called them on Wednesday. They said they were not quite finished and would call me that afternoon. On Thursday, I called and they said they were working on it and would be finished by 6 that evening. I told him that I was coming to Tyler on Friday morning so I would get it then. He said he would call when he was done. On Friday, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called them again. He said to give him an hour. I told him that I felt like I was getting the run around because for three days, they had told me it would be done. He said he would call me personally within the hour. I got a call a couple of hours later telling me it was ready for pickup. I drove to Tyler and they handed me my iPad. The glass was filthy and scratched. When I told him it was scratched, he snatched it out of my hand and squirted a cleaner on it. He handed it back to me. It was clean but was still scratched. I told him that it had deep scratches on the glass that were not there when I brought it in. He said that they didn't do it. I told him that the iPad had been in a case since I bought it and was in perfect condition when I brought it in. Nevertheless, I paid and told them I was not happy. I got my iPad and left. Before I could get in my car, he came running out to tell me that the case I had probably didn't protect the glass. I happened to have my case in my car. I showed him that it was a waterproof case and totally covered my iPad. He kind of looked shocked and said that the only thing they could do was put a tempered glass on it. I declined and left. In my opinion, they aren't trustworthy and are rude.

Everything still worked, the case was just cracked from overuse (no, I never dropped it). I paid them $200 for the parts and labor, and the laptop looked good when they handed it back to me. Unfortunately, I brought it home and noticed that the screen wouldn't turn on. I feel stupid for not turning it on in-store, but why would I assume I needed to? I brought it back in to them the next day and told them about the issue. They kept asking if I'd dropped it. They looked it over and admitted that they must have displaced something (broken it) during the case repair. I was under the impression that they wanted to make it right, so I was flexible and forgiving. To cut a very very long story short, I ended up driving back and forth to this place a total of nine times for a variety of reasons (they ordered the wrong part, the part was "dead on arrival," they were out of office for hours at a time, etc). In the end, they told me that more expensive parts would need replacing (i.e. I might as well buy a new computer). They did not offer to fix it or refund me. I was so frustrated I just walked out. Wish I had stood my ground and at least asked for a refund on the case. TLDR: my laptop worked before they touched it, and now it doesn't. Now I'm out $200 and I'm stuck with a broken laptop. On 02-12-2026 I took my package to BoxCar Shipping with a Prepaid Fedex Label containing very…read moreimportant and senstive information for a client. Staff at BoxCar received my box and I received a printed receipt. I left the building feeling confident that my package was in good hands and that my client would receive it in a couple of days. In approximately 1 week my client called and asked about the package that had not been received so I looked up the tracking number on the Fedex website. To my dismay I found that Fedex had no record of picking up my package at BoxCar. I called BoxCar and a young man informed me that occasionally boxes were picked up by the wrong carrier and that often it took as long as two weeks for those packages to be returned to BoxCar. Apparently there is no system or supervision at BoxCar to ensure that the correct carrier picks up the correct package. It is now two weeks and 1 day since my package has been lost by BoxCar. This contained documents which, in the wrong hands, could easily be used for the purpose of Identity Theft and as of this date I have no idea what type of repercussions my client will suffer as a result of carelessness on the part of BoxCar staff. It isi also interesting to note that the website shown on Yelp and also on my BoxCar receipt does not exist or is not accessible. I am now driving to Tyler from Mineola when I have important documents to mail. Fedex has an Office there and does not offer services to other carriers. It takes considerable time to do this but at lease now I can sleep nights.
