However the dynamics of this feature required several actions in order to use the phone or even access settings to change it. I had been unable to use my phone for 3 days and was prepared to buy another phone to replace it. However in searching for an alternative I happened to see "Smart-Tech" under cell phone repair and service in Yelp. When I arrived there I was met by friendly people who were eager to try and help me. To my surprise they were able to get into my cell phone settings and reset things back to original. It was now useable after 3 days and a lot of frustration! To my dismay I was told that there would be no charge for their services!!!! These guys went above and beyond what I had expected, and I am extremely grateful!!! I highly recommend these very competent professionals to anyone who may be having a problem with their cell phones or tablets!!!!!

We had Faithco give estimates on preparing a house to sell…read more There were some elements of their estimate that were reasonable here are the parts that were not. A toilet seat wobbled a small amount. The Faithco plumber said it would be $275-$1000 to fix it. I took a look at it and it took me 15 seconds to tighten the nuts at the base of the toilet. The drip tray of an air conditioner in the attic had been collecting water and draining through a pipe for years, which is not ideal! The drain took a path that zig-zagged up and down a bit. They proposed raising the unit to be suspended from the rafters and replacing the pan. I asked why not just replace the pipe, taking a straighter path and he said that the AC unit sitting on top of styrofoam supports was putting at risk of falling. His quote was $2800 to raise the unit. And he wouldn't offer other options even after I questioned each part. I asked another company and they suggested changing the pan for $1500 and fixing the drain for $500. We went with just fixing the drain for $500. We wanted a quote on replacing a 20+ year old AC system. Faithco couldn't find the model number of the unit on the equipment outside but found a 3 ton furnace in the attic so they quoted us (summer of 2025) $13,800 for a SEER 15.2 3 ton unit and $16,800 for a SEER 16.2 unit. Another contractor found the nameplate and showed it to me (a little hard to find but not really, right on the compressor) and saw it was a 2 ton unit (you can tell it's a 2 ton because the model number ends in "24"). The other contractor subsequently quoted us $10,500 for a 2 ton system and $12,800 for a 3 ton system. The other contractor also pointed out that since the house has a 2 ton unit for the bedrooms and a 4 ton unit for the main living space, high SEER is less important, the unit would mostly be used in the evenings, not all day. I had a follow-up conversation with the Faithco HVAC tech and he doubled-down on believing it was a 3 ton unit even though I told him I saw the model number ending in "24". He said, and I recall it exactly because it was so odd, "In this area, we make sure our our compressors match our furnaces." I bit my tongue but wanted to say, "I agree, but the nameplate I'm looking at still ends in "24"". Faithco recommended replacing 3 AC float switches for $225 apiece. Maybe it was me but I couldn't figure out why we needed them. I don't think they tested the existing units but I'm not sure. Soooo, we went with Evans Air instead.

This man is A Genius when it comes to cell phone technology!!!not bad customer service either..lol Long story short I was completely locked out of my Samsung jv7 and 3 and tablet. With Verizon account paid and up to date. Couldn't get any customer support withem Was without phone and internet 4 days. A friend suggested I go see Marc. I am glad I did. I told him that I had done a soft and hard rest on all my device because they started acting weird after I accessed a public wifi. So I rest them all. Knowing my gmail account and password. Still had me locked out. I handed him the phone. 15 mins later I am talking and texting on my phone. Life saver. So, I have used the services of 5Star Cell Repair three times now, twice for me, and once for my stepson. All of the times, wonderful and very respectful service. I told the manager/phone tech that I hadn't actually been the one to break it, the first time it was my toddler daughter and the second time it was someone at a party using my phone to DJ. He gave me a discount and I appreciated it so much bc I think he could tell that I was stressed out, also I broke my phone twice within one month. They told me it would be a few days because they had to order the part. No problem. On Saturday, I receive a voice mail from them telling me that my iPad was ready. I went on Monday morning to pick it up, and they told me that they were just starting to work on it. I told them about the voice message, and they denied it even though it came from their phone number. So, I had driven 30 miles for nothing. They said it should be ready the next day (Tuesday) and they would call me. I didn't hear from them on Tuesday, so I called them on Wednesday. They said they were not quite finished and would call me that afternoon. On Thursday, I called and they said they were working on it and would be finished by 6 that evening. I told him that I was coming to Tyler on Friday morning so I would get it then. He said he would call when he was done. On Friday, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called them again. He said to give him an hour. I told him that I felt like I was getting the run around because for three days, they had told me it would be done. He said he would call me personally within the hour. I got a call a couple of hours later telling me it was ready for pickup. I drove to Tyler and they handed me my iPad. The glass was filthy and scratched. When I told him it was scratched, he snatched it out of my hand and squirted a cleaner on it. He handed it back to me. It was clean but was still scratched. I told him that it had deep scratches on the glass that were not there when I brought it in. He said that they didn't do it. I told him that the iPad had been in a case since I bought it and was in perfect condition when I brought it in. Nevertheless, I paid and told them I was not happy. I got my iPad and left. Before I could get in my car, he came running out to tell me that the case I had probably didn't protect the glass. I happened to have my case in my car. I showed him that it was a waterproof case and totally covered my iPad. He kind of looked shocked and said that the only thing they could do was put a tempered glass on it. I declined and left. In my opinion, they aren't trustworthy and are rude.

My iPad gen 4 got a cracked screen so I took it to these guys. That was a mistake - they have no clue how to fix cracked screens. To make a long story short, they damaged my iPad but roughly/incorrectly installing the new screen. I ended up taking the iPad to another store to store to have it repaired from iPhone ER's "repair." In the end, I'm out $140 to iPhone ER, which only paid for them to permanently damage my iPad. I spend another $54 to correct their incorrectly-installed screen. To make matters worse, when I called and asked for a partial refund, I was threatened by whoever answered the phone. They told me they were recording our conversation! It was crazy...definitely the worst business I've dealt with in a long time.

Everything still worked, the case was just cracked from overuse (no, I never dropped it). I paid them $200 for the parts and labor, and the laptop looked good when they handed it back to me. Unfortunately, I brought it home and noticed that the screen wouldn't turn on. I feel stupid for not turning it on in-store, but why would I assume I needed to? I brought it back in to them the next day and told them about the issue. They kept asking if I'd dropped it. They looked it over and admitted that they must have displaced something (broken it) during the case repair. I was under the impression that they wanted to make it right, so I was flexible and forgiving. To cut a very very long story short, I ended up driving back and forth to this place a total of nine times for a variety of reasons (they ordered the wrong part, the part was "dead on arrival," they were out of office for hours at a time, etc). In the end, they told me that more expensive parts would need replacing (i.e. I might as well buy a new computer). They did not offer to fix it or refund me. I was so frustrated I just walked out. Wish I had stood my ground and at least asked for a refund on the case. TLDR: my laptop worked before they touched it, and now it doesn't. Now I'm out $200 and I'm stuck with a broken laptop.
