I have always been happy with their prices, their products, and their service until recently. One of the batteries that was purchased and installed by Battery X-Change on my diesel truck failed. The case expanded and the battery acid leaked causing damage to parts that came in contact with the corrosive battery acid. I was traveling on vacation at the time and had to buy two new batteries, as well as pay a dealer to replace a few parts that had been destroyed by the acid. I notified Battery X-Change and was assured by their VP that I would be reimbursed for my expenses. A long story short, I got home from vacation, submitted all the receipts and photos from the mishap and was told that they were going to submit it to their insurance carrier. This is a further indication that Battery X-Change had accepting responsibility. After more than 11 weeks their insurance carrier, The Hartford, denied the claim. I was given two reasons for the denial; the first reason was because I did not bring a toxic, leaking, potentially explosive defective battery home with me for them to inspect, (photos and statements were not enough). The second reason was that Battery X-Change did not manufacture the battery that failed... they only sold it. The Battery X-Change refused to reimburse me also. I was not surprised that The Hartford denied the claim, but I was surprised and disappointed that the Battery X-Change went back on their word to do the right thing.

*I live in Oregon, not Cali* I highly do NOT recommend this…read moreplace. I got my battery last year in June, and just recently found out my alternator is dead and so is the battery. It would not hold a charge and I had 3 mechanics tell me the battery was toast (and leaking) and that I needed a new one. I figured the warranty would still be an option so I brought it back to them only for them to say it just needed a 24 hour charge. They also told us that alternators don't charge the battery, which was one of the most stupid things I think I have ever heard. Honestly, I don't think you should be working at a battery shop if you don't know what the alternator does. Ultimately, I ended up having to buy a new battery from Costco because my car needed to be moved and they would not honor my warranty to give me a new one. I am now down $160 because of my new battery, have my toasted battery that supposedly charged "just fine" and "isn't leaking at all!" and shit out of luck. Again, I would not recommend getting a battery from a place that doesn't even know what an alternator does for your battery/car.

The technicians ran a charging test as well as three load tests on the battery and determined that it did not need to be replaced. They also tested fluids in every cel and cleaned and reset the terminals. Since time and breakdowns are a concern of mine, I was very willing to purchase a new battery. HOWEVER, I deferred to the professionals who, after fully testing it stated that the battery was fully functional. I have purchased several batteries as well as a battery tender from Battery X-Change. They provide excellent service, advice and are very competitive on pricing. I will tell anyone that listens to support Battery X-Change!

After going through a week and a half of a headache and utter HELL with Apple, Ryan saved the day and was able to fix my phone and save my information that I was desperately worried about losing. His prices are very fair and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in running is business. I will refer everyone I possibly can to this place and running a business myself I know how important it is to make your customers happy and also to refer business to people who truly care about their job and the service they provide. ***I have an 11 pro that I purchased back in Aug 2020. The phone unexpectedly started shutting off and repowering on and then wouldn't take a charge. Because of Covid restrictions, Apple was several days out, so I traveled out of town to Salem to get the phone seen as soon as possible. By the time I got there the phone was dead so they couldn't see the issue. But I explained and requested that they try putting a new battery in since under warranty. They refused because their diagnostics testing said, it wasn't the battery. I made a 2nd attempt at Apple Bridgeport where they gave me the same story leaving my only option to leave the phone where I would lose all of my information. Apple's service across the board is terrible and I will absolutely avoid going to any retail stores ever again! Call the Device Doctors - they will help you!!

I had the model number and all the information and Ryan was able to tell me the cost and how quick he could fix it for us. I said I was going to call around to get prices and repair time and he even suggested a few places, which I felt was very good business practice and made me feel comfortable. So I decided to use him for our repair and called him back to please place the order for the part. He definitely wasn't as friendly on my second call, but I just imagined he was busy. He said we could drop the laptop off anytime and so I asked my husband to do so since he was in the area that day. When he got to the address there was no "Device Doctors" he said there was a cell phone repair shop with that address. He went in and no one was there, which he thought was weird. Eventually was greeted by the cute pup in the photo and then finally Ryan. My husband said that he had very little customer service skills and didn't seem to even realize who he was (despite the fact that I said we would drop off the Chromebook and gave him all of my contact information over the phone,) when my husband said that I had spoken to Ryan. I didn't think anything of it as I thought he was very kind on my initial call. He told us the laptop would be finished on Tuesday (we dropped it off on Friday,) and it was. For some strange reason my voicemail didn't show until the next day. We were able to get a loaner from the school so it wasn't urgent for us to pick it back up. We did however, need to get an invoice for the repair as it was a warranty that we were using to get the repair done. My husband went back on Wednesday and he said no one was there. I tried calling multiple times and just got the voice mail. I finally got a hold of Ryan on Thursday and confirmed the hours and my husband was able to swing by again since he was in the area, and pick it up. However, we didn't get a repair invoice, we only got a Square receipt with the total. Since our warranty plan required a detailed invoice, I called 6 or 7 times trying to get a hold of someone and when I finally got a hold of Ryan on Friday he said he could email me an invoice if I would just text him the information. I did so, and at the end of the day on Friday I still had nothing. At the end of the day on Saturday again, no invoice. By Monday, I tried calling again multiple times and couldn't get a hold of him. I finally text and said that we needed the invoice to be able to submit our claim. And again, provided the details. Let me say this - if you're looking for customer service and you need that more than you need the repair, this isn't your spot. BUT if you need the repair you've been guaranteed for the price you've been quoted, this is it 100%. If I didn't need the detailed invoice, Ryan would have gotten 5 stars, for delivering what I asked for when he promised it. BUT it was a HUGE hassle trying to get a simple invoice to submit my warranty claim. That ran down the stars to a 3 star since it became more hassle than it was worth. We could have used a different shop, waited longer but gotten less hassle in the customer service area. I was disappointed, but I would go here for non-warranty work that I don't need within a specific time frame. He just lacked the customer service and follow up that I needed for my repair.
