I went to the Savannah Batteries Plus store two times to have my truck battery checked because I would have to jump start my truck. I went to the Advanced Auto in Richmond Hill they said I had a bad battery and I carried my truck back to Batteries Plus to have it checked again they said my battery was good and my alternator was good. I carried my truck to my automobile shop they said I had a bad battery!! They are incompetent people who at this store!! The battery was less than a 1 year old and defective. This company will never get my business again. Beware if you buy a car battery from this company. read more

Went to switch out a battery that had a bad cell . And was told that they would not warranty it due to it being completely dead. Battery was 8-9 months old. Very unhelpful especially since I was a new customer that had purchased 3 batteries last year to give them a try and for the warranty in three different vehicles. FIY one of them was a golf cart battery and it won't hold an either now! So that was my 400-500 dollar lesson learned. read more

Unfortunately there are no Batteries Plus in the Bluffton area. I was in Savannah anyway for something else and needed to stop by to get a battery for my ADT alarm. The line was a bit long, but mainly for people waiting for watch or cellphones to be picked up. Nice to know they do both. I was fortunate that they had my specialty battery in stock. The attendant mentioned they were going to send that battery to another store. The battery was exactly what I needed. A bit pricey, but was better than waiting for it to be shipped from somewhere else. read more

Ugh. Cyberspace ate my review so I'll try again. This is the 3rd time we have come here for batteries. Customer service has been outstanding. The first time they showed me how to install new batteries in a robo sweeper. This last time they tested a battery for a riding mower. I don't know why the previous review had so much trouble but there was no extra charge for recycling the old battery. They also checked a charging unit for a toy hummer. The charger works so they told me to bring in the twin batteries to see if I need to replace both. Prices for the riding mower were $25-$45 depending on cranking power. This place has been great. I don't know about the phone repair issues but I would give them a chance based on my other experiences. read more

So I went to the store and bought the battery and installation but the tech would not honor the 15% discount. Also, I had to straighten out the install since it was installed incorrectly. Look at the pics....also, the tech was really unfriendly and poor technical support...I emailed the company to complain and guess what, no response from them either!!! I have tried to give this place a chance, but I cannot recommend this place for service for your car OR phone. Last year right before Thanksgiving my car battery died. I work on Eisenhower so I took it here. While installing my battery, they broke my windshield wipers. They refunded me about $20 which didn't cover the cost of wipers, but whatever. It took 3 trips to them before my windshield wipers were working again. This week, my iPhone 8 Plus phone screen cracked. Against my better judgement, I took it here because it's convenient to my work place and I don't have all the time to drop it off. They said it would be done in 60-90 minutes, took closer to 2 hours, but again, it's COVID so I can be gracious and they did complete the job so not a big deal. Well, I get home tonight and try to accept a phone call, only to realize the sound on my phone no longer works unless I'm on speaker. Some internet hunting and some trouble shooting (including resetting my phone, restarting my phone, and resetting all of my sound settings) led to the discovery that my phone screen was installed incorrectly and requires some level of disassembly to correct. I went back in this morning (10/21/2020) to have my phone fixed. They said it would not be an issue and to come back in an hour. I went back in an hour and they are now having to order a part to fix whatever was broken during the install and I am going to have to take it back a third time tomorrow to get it fixed. When I explained that I needed my phone for work and need it to work not on speaker, they suggested I get headphones and handed me a pair (which, when I opened back in my office, discovered they do not even fit an iPhone...). I am beyond frustrated that the initial repair for a cracked screen has now resulted in what will be 6 separate trips to this store during my work hours to either drop the phone off or pick it up. Each time, I am having to take time away from my job to do so and have yet to leave with a cell phone that functions fully like it did prior. If you need a battery replaced in your car or a cell phone screen replaced, I'd just take it elsewhere, unless you're willing to make follow up trips BACK to the store for additional issues. read more

I called on Tuesday to determine if they could replace an iPad Pro A1673 battery. Jared, the manager said they would have to order the battery and it would probably be in by Friday. I gave him my Credit Card info and he charged be for the battery and installation. I brought the iPad in on Thursday and Jared promised it by Saturday I called on Friday just in case the battery had arrived and it hadn't. I called back on Saturday to see if it came in and they told me that they had just received an email that the battery wouldn't be available until March. No one called me to tell me this new information. When I went to retrieve my iPad i asked when the Battery had been ordered and I was told it was ordered on Thursday. 2 DAYS AFTER I GAVE JARED MY CC INFO. I won't be going back. read more

Had to get my iphone 6 plus screen fixed and it was a run around hassle for about 3 weeks for some odd reason. They don't have a WiFi connection to connect to if your iPhone is wiped. In order for them to test the phone it has to be connected to WiFi. So the guy said it won't be a problem and later on after he said he said the manager finally made it right. The staff is very polite but aren't always on the same page. But at the end of the day the manager made it right and did what he should have done. read more

Absolute WORST THING IVE EVER DONE FOR MY IPHONE 6s PLUS. I went in to get a simple screen/LCD replacement. When I get it back (the first time) my 3D Touch no longer works, (with further investigation I find out it is because they use a knock off screen &a this is proven because the 3D Touch is programmed into the screens for the 6s.) and there is a tiny dent in the back of my phone, which at the time I thought was insignificant. (After bringing it to Irepair the nice man tells me that is what is causing my battery to malfunction) when I bring it back to them they tell me there's nothing they can do, as I'm On my way home I notice they have cracked my screen. So once I again I'm back. They did replace it. Fast forward a few weeks, my battery has not held a charge since I got it back from them, obviously my 3D Touch doesn't work, and some nights my phone just doesn't charge. It sat on a charger for 12 HOURS before doing anything. (Keep in mind I had NO problems besides the cracked screen before them) I bring it in, they tell me there's not much they can do because I've used my warranty three times even though they caused the issues that made me use my warranty. They also tell me if I want a batter I'll still have to pay for it. So basically. I took my phone in to fix one simple problem and ended up with a list of problems and no one to take responsibility for them. Obviously I won't be giving them any more money and I suggest no one else does. UPDATED. Still the worst thing I've ever done. If I could put any less stars I would. After 4 days or requesting it be done, I got a refund for the shittiest screen ever. So I spent $70 on amazon, ordered a screen and replaced it myself. And I now have no issues. My 3D Touch works, my screen works, every thing that was wrong with my phone after these "professionals" (some would call them dumbasses) fixed it (other than my battery) works perfectly fine. These people do not use the correct products for their services and I HIGHLY recommend either going to Irepair or doing it yourself Or doing literally anything besides wasting your money on them. If you're in a situation where these people are your only option, you may as well save yourself the trouble and the headache of dealing with them and go ahead and buy yourself a new phone because they WILL screw it up worse than what it was when you brought it to them. Then they'll claim that they didn't do it and try to charge you for the new problems. This is nothing more than a scam. If I can watch a YouTube video and fix my screen, why can't these professionals here do it correctly ? Honestly they just need to stick to bulbs and batteries because they're basically incompetent when it comes to phones. I will NEVER go to this store again for a phone repair. Went in last week for the simple repair of a cracked screen. When I picked it up, it showed that they battery needed repair (my battery/phone was totally fine before this). The employees told me that it was an error made during the repair. The new battery needed to ship from Pooler which could take a few days, which no one seemed concerned with. I needed my phone, so I made the effort to drive to Pooler that same day. Turns out, that was never the issue and my phone was completely fried. They said that they would order a brand new phone as a replacement and that it would be overnighted. I came back the next day and it was not overnighted. Took a week to come in and it was a refurbished phone. Overall, just a horrible experience at this store- always a long wait, one issue after another, and just overall a lack concern for customers. What should have been a quick fix of a phone screen replacement turned into hours spent at this store with so many issues. read more

Took my iPhone screen to get fixed because they were they only place opened on a Sunday; the screen looks amazing got home and Camera doesn't work, can't open my text, screen goes back to home with any little touch, texting is hit or miss when it feels like working,called them the same day of service and they said the phone could've been damaged prior and would charge me half price to looks at it again!! Umm you had the phone opened when you were fixing it right? Maybe not!! Will stick to iRepair for my future iPhone issues! Hope iRepair can get it working again for and for much a much reasonable price. Received broken phone (non functioning) back. No competence, no offer to help fix it, no offer to lend me a phone, no apologies. I purchased 2 Duracell X2 Marine Batteries and paid over $600 for the better ones with a 2 year warranty. I went to start my boat a couple days ago and the batteries were dead. The boat has a battery charger, and I just had the boat out a week ago. I put the batteries on the charger and they would only charge to 11 volts, and as soon as you would take them off the charger, or try to use them, they would drop to 5 volts. I brought the batteries back to Batteries Plus, but because I didn't charge them first, they said they wouldn't honor the warranty. I told them I already charged them and they wouldn't hold the charge. Batteries Plus then said my charger was probably inferior, so they were going to put them on their "sixty thousand dollar charger" to see if they could get them charged to at least 10. After 5 hours I called back and was told, "they were still waiting for the first battery to charge to 13 volts, and haven't even started on the second one yet, so it was going to be awhile." They could have waited for days, because it was never going to happen, plus the batteries are in a series, so both batteries were going to be identical, but they obviously don't understand how batteries work on a boat. Then they said, "even though they could get the charge to 10, they wouldn't honor the warranty because it dropped to 5 when they took it off the charger". WOW, just what I said, but now Batteries Plus is saying it has to go up to 13 volts for the warranty and no warranty because the voltage won't hold. SO, I went to the store and their area manager was there - Miguel. Miguel then smiled and told me to my face that he wasn't going to do anything, because it had to be something wrong with my boat to cause the problem with the batteries. I proceeded to argued with him and he said he still wouldn't do anything because they weren't covered under the manufacturers warranty. He then told my friend that came with me, "to control his wife". Miguel then told him, he might have done something, but now he wouldn't, because I wasn't nice to him and raised my voice. No one in the store ever once offered to warranty the batteries. They just kept saying it had to be my fault (even though I have a licensed mechanic that works on my boat that knows what he's doing). And it's not just me..... Earlier that morning, they told another woman that brought back a key battery that wasn't working, "that it had to be her fault, she must have bought the wrong battery for that key and that's why it wasn't working". She proceeded to tell them that they were they ones that looked up the battery for her. Not sure what her outcome was, but needless to say they are only helpful when you are buying, and not at all if there's a problem. So now I have to replace their $600+ batteries again, because they don't honor the warranty. I will be going somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Batteries Plus. They have a group of smart mouthed 20 year olds working there that are very proficient at smiling and apologizing for their inferior products and telling you how they can't or won't do anything about it. read more
