We needed a new battery for our Mazda. Batteries Plus seemed to have the best deal and the standard installation with testing of our "current battery, starter, alternator." seemed like the way to go. The Testing = if the car starts after the new battery is installed then the alternator and starter are good. This falls way short of actually testing the health of the starter and the alternator. Plus the service tech Mansplained to me and refused to admit the online description of 'testing' is misleading. Very rude read more

I've had Batteries Plus program extra 3rd party key fobs for me in the past that I purchased online. Today they wanted me to sign a waiver saying that they're not liable if anything happened to my vehicle in the install process. I was going to sign the waiver, but another employee jumped in and kept making a big deal about 3rd party key fobs and the chances of my car not working, etc. He didn't say we sell key fobs or give me any alternatives to the fobs I had. Therefore, I left the store because I didn't trust them not to sabotage the install after making such a big deal about the ramifications. I will not do business here in the future due to how I was treated by the younger employee. I do not recommend. read more

The "kid" behind the counter had no idea what he was talking about. I needed a higher end Xenon bulb. Batteries Plus website said that they carry the exact bulb and brand I needed. I even still had the original package. I showed him the package and said I need a set of these. He said we don't carry them. I said according to your website you do, he sighed and said let me check, he came back and tossed a set of basic halogen bulbs on the counter. I said this is not what I was looking for, he replied these will work. I said these are halogen not Xenon. He angrily said you showed me a picture of H11 bulbs and that's what I gave you. I then replied unbelievable that you work at a place that sells only batteries and bulbs and you don't know the difference between Xenon and Halogen bulbs ? I say again, unbelievable read more

We had a business account and ordered qty 4 ...34M AGM batteries from Dillian 6.29 Dillian stated he would have to order some in from Pewaukee location and batteries would be available 7.06.22 Called him 7.06 and he had 10 excuses to why batteries weren't available and he was to busy ,on vacation and hadn't gotten the batteries ordered . The level of Unprofessional excuses was very disappointing and Dillian obviously doesn't have skin in the game at Batteries Plus West...........I guess thats why they are chasing light bulb sales vs a $1k battery order Need a battery go to Farm Fleet were business is treated seriously read more

I stopped in needing to get my key fob battery replaced, the two guys working both looked at my fob, without hesitation or even trying to work with me, told me to return the next day "when the guy who knows to do those kinds of keys, works." No effort or even trying to help the situation, just come back another time. Useless to say the least. read more

John (manager, I believe) and his team are very diligent about helping customers. I needed a new car key fob but after numerous attempts they couldn't fabricate the one I needed, but they didn't give up and finally found the solution. Just got a new battery for a Mini Cooper. It's a tricky one but Gavin was awesome to work with. He knows his job and he's very good at it. Beyond that his customer service sense was phenomenal for a person so young. They'd better promote him or give him a raise because someone is going to poach him. Beyond that, I got a great coupon online incentivizing me to buy online and pick up in the store. That saved me about $20. All said, this was less then half of what the dealer was going to charge. Great customer service! My son's mobile phone was not charging consistently, and the charging cord seemed like it was not engaging positively in the socket. His phone is about 2.5 years old, stuff wears out, and I suspected that the socket might need to be replaced. After calling Batteries Plus Bulbs on the phone and verifying they could replace the socket and had the part on hand, I showed up with the phone. The young man who helped me was very friendly, and upon examining the phone said it was likely that the socket had just accumulated a bunch of dust or lint. He blew it out with some compressed air, and voila, no more problem! It took 4 minutes, and they charged us nothing, saving a $99 socket replacement charge! Thanks guys! You may not have gotten my business yesterday, but if I'm in need of batteries or bulbs in the future, I know where I'll be shopping! read more

I purchased what I thought was a new battery in May of 2019 for my jet ski. It seemed to work alright for the first year but I noticed that my trickle charger was working all the time to keep the battery fully charged while not in use. By the summer of 2021, the battery started failing after using the jet ski for about 20 minutes, turning it off and then not being able to restart the jet ski (i.e. friend towing me home). I took it back to Battery Plus and the sales agent immediately said "wow you've got an old one there!" When I said it is just about two years old, he said they haven't had that label for years. He load tested the battery and said it had a bad cell. I then asked what the circular label meant with a B 5 in it and he looked it up and said that meant 2016 (B) and May (5). So that means this battery sat on a shelf for three years before they sold it to me as a New battery. These AGM batteries are acid loaded at the factory so discharge starts soon thereafter especially if left on shelf and not periodically charged. The seller said he doubted it was ever recharged while sitting for those three years. And, of course I was told the 2 year warranty had expired just a couple months before. The manager said he could do nothing about it even though it could explain why this really 5+ year old battery had a bad cell. Do not trust this place. They can put any sticker label on an old battery they want to make you think it is really new when it isn't . Check the stamp on the bottom of the plastic casing to see when the manufacturer stamped it when made. Chances are Batteries Plus is putting a sticker on an old battery to defraud you into thinking it is new. In my case, they must have forgotten to change the sticker when they sold me a three year old battery. read more

They even printed 4 separate original receipts and filled out my rebate forms for me to get $10 off the 4 golf cart batteries I was buying. Negative Stars for Batteries Plus and the Rebate Processing Center - read the limitation and fine print on the rebates. Follow the instructions exactly. Keep copies of everything. Send them in early in case they get kicked back. read more

My car would 't start one morning after sitting in the garage for three days (I drove my wife's car as she was out of town) and I went to jump it and saw my battery was 3 years old, so I ordered a new one on-line at Batteries Plus, after reading they install it for free, and also because there were positive reviews. After jumping it, I drove the car for two days with no issues, but still wanted the peace of mind of a new battery. Well, I went in three days later, and one of the guys gladly took my new battery out to install it, and came in a couple of minutes later and said my old battery was charging just fine. He asked why I was getting a new battery, and I told him what happened and that I had driven the car a long way the day before with no issues. He said he thought I would be fine and that my current battery was charging just just great. He took my "new" battery back, gave me a full credit, and I was on my way! Amazing! Didn't try to sell me a battery I didn't need and was very nice about it. He even had his boss come out and check his readings and he concurred that I didn't need a battery. Very professional and honest! (I had been in the store a couple of times in the past two years, and the same guys still work there. That in itself is unusual, and they are good at what they do!) read more

Good selection, helpful staff BUT very overpriced. I have bought from here in the past 2 years without really shopping around. I have bought several button batteries for watches, garage openers, key fobs, etc. The batteries they sell are from NUON a generic brand and they don't seem to last very long. I shopped around at Copps, Walgreens, Menards, and Walmart and found the same batteries from Duracell or Energizer for MUCH LESS ! CV1632 was about $2.60 elsewhere and $3.99 each at Batteries Plus. Other sizes like CV2032 were two for $3.70 elsewhere and much higher $ at Batteries Plus, If you are desperate, and don;t have time to shop around, Batteries Plus will probably have the battery # you seek, but you are paying for the convenience and the quality (how long they last) is questionable. read more

Shattered screen on my iPhone 6 (1 month after 2 years of insurance had ended). Went to the Apple Store and they informed me the screen couldn't be replaced due to "water damage"?!? My phone has NEVER been submerged or even splashed with water but apparently the sensor had turned red - said I needed to get a new phone which they would sell me for $300. The phone was working perfectly even with the smashed screen. I took it to Batteries Plus. They replaced the screen in under an hour - checked for water damage (there was none) and it is working perfectly. Cost was $100. Highly reccomend! read more
