I would strongly caution anyone considering using this company for device repairs…read more I brought my son's Nintendo Switch to uBreakiFix because the game card reader was not recognizing game cartridges. What followed was an incredibly frustrating experience that lasted several weeks, involved multiple trips to the store, and ultimately left me with the exact same problem I had when I initially brought the device in. After dropping off the Switch, I received absolutely no communication from the store regarding the status of the repair. Three weeks later, I finally called and was told the device had been repaired and was ready for pickup. The store had replaced the game cartridge reader and assured me the device was working. However, when I arrived, the device was dead, and they were unable to demonstrate that it was actually functioning. Despite this, I paid the full repair cost and took it home, only to discover that it still did not work. I returned to the store, where I was told they would expedite the repair. Once again, there was no communication or follow-up. When I eventually returned, I was told that their test game worked in the device, but the game I had left with them did not. Based on this, they concluded the device was fixed and that the issue was with my game. unfortunately, none of my son's games worked in the Switch, yet every single one of them worked perfectly in an alternative Switch belonging to a friend. This clearly pointed back to an issue with the device. At this point, I requested a full refund. Rather than taking accountability for a repair that had not resolved the original problem, I was required to escalate the issue and was told I needed to bring the device back to the store for a FOURTH visit to once again demonstrate that it was not working. This was despite the fact that the store had never successfully demonstrated that the device was functioning with my games in the first place. The lack of communication, repeated troubleshooting, inability to resolve the original issue, and resistance to providing a refund have made this an extremely disappointing experience. I have spent weeks dealing with this company, made multiple unnecessary trips to the store, paid for a repair that did not fix the problem, and ultimately found myself having to repeatedly prove that I was not receiving the service I paid for. I would not recommend this company. Be very cautious before committing to a repair, particularly if something goes wrong. Based on my experience, getting a resolution or refund when they are unable to fix your device can be an incredibly difficult process.

Great thing was, I didn't even have to take a bus to get here! This place is conveniently located on State Street, a fitting spot for students who go to UW- Madison. The repair took a few days because they had to order the part but once it came in, the actual replacement only took a couple hours. By the time I got out of class, my laptop was as good as new. I did get a used part (because it was cheaper and I'm not rich) so there were small scratches but not that many (2-3 perhaps) to actually complain about because they aren't distracting let alone an eyesore. I liked that they did have the option to get a used part, though, instead of getting a brand new one for way more. I did wait a few days before submitting this review because I would've jumped on yelp as soon as I got home from the store but I figured I should wait to see if any malfunctions occurred before I start raving about my experience. Lo and behold, it's been almost a week and my computer is still doing great. One thing I'd like to point out is that the people behind the desk have great costumer service. The guy that I communicated with added some additional services that were of no cost like lightly cleaning my keyboard and adding a screen protector which I found to be really nice. I've already recommended my friends to this place and will come back if I ever need their services again (but hopefully not for my sake).

This is so long but worth reading if you are thinking about taking your device in for repair…read more In my 23 years of living, I have never before left a review on anything. Good or bad. But I downloaded yelp just for this. My pc was having problems on Sunday afternoon, I looked up where to get it fixed and this 'ifixfast' place showed up nearby. So I called and explained my issues and eventually came in to drop it off. I was very clear with the manager that I had opened my pc up, cleaned it thoroughly, unplugged most of the components and reinstalled them. Essentially telling him that I did what I could and was at a loss for how to proceed. The manager told they would begin diagnosing my pc the following day (Monday), toward the afternoon and would be in contact with me via phone call within the next 3-4 days for an update. I say "thank you very much sir" and leave. After a 56 hour work week as a commercial electrician I am looking forward to the weekend and enjoying my break. (It's Friday now) I still have not received a call from this business with any update. I just figured they forgot! Not a big deal, I'll just call them. Worker on the phone tells me it's not ready and he has no update for me. Confused, I respond with "have you guys done any work on it" worker responds with "I do not have that information." I say, "do you have some kind of time frame for when it would be done" worker says "no sir at this time I do not" I say "okay" and hang up. I then decided to come into the store to follow up on just what exactly was being done to my pc. I ask the worker if my pc is even being looked at and the worker said "yes it has" I ask what has been done so far and he said-and I quote "that is a good question" then looked in the back for 3 seconds and essentially told me exactly what I already knew, that the pc turns off right after an attempt to boot up. He tells me they have unplugged some components and plugged them back in. And that that is the extent of the work that's been done. I told the worker that I already knew that information and at this point I say "well considering you guys have had it for an entire week and can't give me any information can I just pick it up today and go try somewhere else?" Worker gets the manager on the phone and comes back to tell me I would still have to pay $75 out the $150 diagnosis fee. You're kidding right? I ask again if I could get some kind of an idea as to when my pc would be fixed I got zero information. I try to level with the guy by saying "so you are telling me you guys could have my pc for months? Sir I need some kind of time frame." And he still gives me nothing. After some back and forth with the worker (who honestly deserved no hard time because I could tell he's a good guy with a scum bag manager). I eventually just settle and pay $75 for them to do absolutely nothing to my property. That sucked and was enough for me to download yelp and warn everyone from doing the same as me.

What is it about winter that causes headlights to burn out? Why can't it happen when it's warm…read moreenough to stand outside and replace it? Anyway, that was the issue that caused me to stop in here today. Luckily it was a brilliant sunny Sunday and even somewhat warm, so I decided to strike while the iron was hot. Many other people were having the same thought today, so there was a little bit of a line at the registers. Not a problem, as they were fully staffed with at least five people manning the helm. I say manning, but one person was womanning. That was nice to see. The line I was in moved quickly, and the guy who helped me was super efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. He quickly looked up the part I needed and explained my option$. He also suggested an additional product to help guard against moisture, something I didn't know about, and for $1.50 extra I went for it. I also signed up for their rewards program, which besides earning you $ off, keeps track of all your purchases and makes returns very easy if necessary. I must say the experience at this branch of this company far exceeds my prior experience at the one on E. Washington Ave. from a couple of years ago. Four stars because for five stars you'd have to wash my car and buy me lunch, too. :-p But I can't think of one negative aspect of my visit today.

If I could give zero starts I would! Awful customer…read moreservice, awful staff, and no help. I called this location (as well as others) they told me the part I needed was in stock. I asked them if I could pick it up in the morning. They took down my info and said "we've made a quote for you and they will be able to help you out". This was a lie. When I came in the lady who "helped" me informed me this part doesn't exist in store, there's no call or quote on file and everything I did lastnight was all made up. I asked multiple times to check or see what may have happened. But nothing. No help, just left sad and empty handed. I called a neighboring location and they helped me out, they got the part ordered from Stoughton and have it in a hour. Seriously wish this store could have had some helpful services, but I would never recommend anyone to come here after dealing with that.
