I've been following their journey for a while now--completely obsessed with their creatively shaped macarons! This shop is such a gem, offering classic bakery staples, delicious macarons, and fun, bakery-themed items. I especially love their "kindness coupons"--such a thoughtful gesture for anyone who could use a little treat. I attended one of their macaron classes, and while I don't know what their kitchen looked like before, it had been fully transformed into a student-friendly workspace with stations set up for each group. After signing in, you're directed to your station and handed an apron. The spots are semi-assigned--if you booked with a friend or a small group, Kasey does a great job placing you together. Everything you need is laid out and ready to go. Kasey walks you through the whole process, checking in along the way and sharing helpful tips she's picked up throughout her macaron-making journey. You and your partner split the batter, but you each get to do your own mixing, choose your colors, and pipe your own shells, which makes it a really hands-on experience. While the macarons are baking, you're treated to sweet bites like brownies or crispy rice treats. Once the macarons have cooled, you fill, package, and--of course--sneak a few tastes along the way. The whole class is so fun, approachable, and well-paced. Afterward, you even get the chance to take home some bakery goodies at a discount! Date of visit: January 26, 2024 Our January version of "Coffee & Kringle" brought us to Batter and Mac in the Falls. A friend had heard that they had gotten some flack from the local Republicans for being pro-LGBT and that was enough for us to go pay them a visit. Staff were wonderful and friendly, even suggesting that I get the Wicked-themed matcha latte with strawberry cold foam, something that I did not think I would necessarily like, but she pushed it hard and you know what? She was right! It was a delicious drink that I may or may not have licked the lid to ensure I got all of the cold foam... My ham and cheese croissant was quite good, though I think it would have been better had it been warmed up. And then I went back for a Scotcheroo and that was fantastic. I had intended to just have a bite that morning and finish it later but there was no way I could do that, I ended up eating the entire thing while we were visiting. Outside of the room temp croissant, the reason for four stars instead of five here is because the bakery gets VERY cold everytime the door opens, I probably should have kept my coat on the whole time we were there. I think one of those ceiling-mounted air units would help mitigate this and get me to stay a bit longer (and order more food!) in the colder months. read more

I'm really impressed with batter and Mac! I had been waiting for them to move to the falls and have been able to visit a couple of times since then. On my first visit I tried a ham and cheese croissant and cinnamon roll. They both were yummy and good portion sizes for what they were. I returned second time for a sushi making class after hours. It was amazing. I am looking forward with being able to come back for a cake decorating class, or whatever else looks interesting. I love that they support local businesses as well- I was able to try lumpias from their freezer which was nice. The space is also cute and they have Knick knacks around for people to browse and buy. Definitely visit and try a few things if you're in the area! read more

This place is such a great addition to the area. Their pastries are extremely well done and they constantly have new items. My favorites are the macarons. I've also tried their croissants, vegan donuts, cinnamon twists, and muffins. The shop itself is on the smaller side but they do have a few tables if you'd like to stay and enjoy your goods. The only thing to far that hasn't hit the mark is their drinks - admittedly I've only had a coffee and a hot cocoa but they're just okay. That said, this is a bakery and the baked goods are amazing so 5 stars. read more

By far the best bakery that I know of in Wisconsin for pastry and bread. The cinnamon pershing with nuts is absolutely delicious. The sourdough bread is also fantastic. I will be visiting again very soon. We are a friendly staff. They definitely need more signage. read more

I've been here a handful of times over the last year and a half and I LOVE EVERYTHING! All of the bakery items are fantastic. My favorites are the giant cookies and the little cake scrap things lol. They've also got hot ham and rolls on Sunday and the rolls are fluffy and large. They've got a crowd every time I've gone in but the service is quick and everyone that works there seems happy. I love how the place is decorated, too! They do classes but I haven't done that (yet) read more

Batter and Mac makes everything with love and it truly shows in the final product. These macarons are the best on the market. I had some vanilla and chocolate ones made for takeaways at my wedding and everyone loved them. Even those that said they usually don't like those kinds of cookies said they were delicious. They also offer a bunch of different cookies and each one I've tried has been delicious. Soft and they do not skimp on the chocolate chips! I love supporting this duo of sisters trying hard to make a business. I can't wait to see how they grow! read more

I will start out saying the custom cake I picked up tasted fantastic. However, it looked like I just picked it up from the grocery store. The decoration requested and what I got, and the lack of response from the owners is disappointing. I paid a lot of money for my cake ($100 for an 8" cake) and provided several pictures of my vision. What I received was not close to the expectation. I moved to the area 2 years ago and was hoping to find another custom cake decorator, fancy cakes are my thing but this is not it. Absolutely the best! I'm a lover of bakery, I'll admit it. So yes, I've partaken from many. Batter & Mac can stand up proudly against any of them. What I love and hate? The éclaires! OMG! They are the best anywhere! And those macarons? Little bites of heaven. What do I hate? The specials! This establishment is a wonderful example of being themselves. From the food to the coffee. Everything is impeccably made. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The space is very well used and feels welcoming to all. I would give 10/10.
