Only one very slight imperfection in glaze. Pin point. Told me I have to wait and see if it gets bigger before they'll send me a repair kit.

I've had them do jobs at 3 different locations and all of them look wonderful. Good communication!

Having previously been a very vocal advocate of this place (even to the point of bringing people to…read moresee it), sadly I have to retract my support. Roughly 9 months ago I purchased a very large, rather expensive pocket door. I saw termite damage on the bottom & commented on it at the time, but I thought it was limited to just that spot. I did not inspect thoroughly enough, however. The project I purchased it for was extensive & I had a delay (the birth of a child will do that), but I stored it on blocks with care. Finally, I got to the part where I would hang the door. In cleaning it, I actually punched two holes through it due to MUCH more extensive termite damage than I had assumed. I found a number of other spots that were almost certainly infested previously. I contacted the company to seek an exchange. The best they would offer was half off a new door (about $350). We reluctantly offered up to $200, but were refused. Note that they still had the same doors now that they did 9 months ago, so this isn't a hot item flying out the door on a common basis. While they carry an array of really interesting stuff, make certain to inspect your purchase with a magnifying glass & be prepared to eat your investment. As for me, that will be my last trip to their shop & I'll also be telling everyone I know: BUYER BEWARE! UPDATE: I decided to try to salvage what I could with the intent of putting windows in the panels. After removing the trim, I'm rethinking that. Just in case anyone thinks this might have occurred in my home, note how extensive the damage is in the 4th & 5th pictures! UPDATE 2: In response to the owner, the termite damage on the bottom WAS noted & discussed. It was why I contemplated one of their other doors. What's more, the person loading the door actually broke off a piece of the trim from the bottom (the upper right in the first picture) & commented on the termite damage directly. Stupidly, i said it seemed to be isolated only to that one area .So... No, that is absolutely a lie on their part. Further, I have pest control come in as a preventative measure (& no, not anywhere near monthly as that wouldn't make any sense). Since we had some damage long before we occupied the house, that seemed like a wise move. No active termite tunnels were found in our home nor in the door. Again, I loved this place before, told everyone who would listen about it, & I'm a huge Toledo business promoter. But now I have to advise otherwise: use them only if you're absolutely willing to eat your investment.

This unique spot is an absolute gem in Toledo. Come here to wander, dream, and just have fun. Too…read moremuch cool, unique and random to list. It is pricey but comes with the territory I would think.

I had a much different experience (thus far) than some of the others like Sheryl that posted…read moreearlier. I went in this last Saturday with my measurements, but too was quickly greeted and explained to the process of how it works. They even gave me a sheet of a timeline--each step of the process is clearly mapped out for you! I'm a very busy person and work a LOT, so I immediately loved that. This is not Home Depot, so the designers are not hourly employees and are VERY busy (especially on Saturday) when people stray in to browse and the designers are busy with their appointments. They're more than happy to allow people to browse, but don't expect a lot of help with pricing questions.. However, I DID get a lot of help! Both of the receptionists came over and talked to us and showed us many of the different cabinet features, granite and finishes that they loved and were the top sellers.. Both women even gave us a list of the vendors they work with.. That was VERY helpful as we stopped by a couple places after. I was so frazzled on Saturday, I wish I remembered their names because they were excellent and went above and beyond and deserve a proper shout out! After talking to both of these nice women for a minute, I assumed they were designers that had a little extra free time. Nope! But they knew their stuff.. If you're wanting to discuss pricing and go over finishes, you have to make an appointment.. but even though I didn't have one, I was more than happy to schedule one and come back next week. I'm going to be investing a lot of money--I really liked that they are smart too and don't just run around wasting their time with every person that walks through their door that is only half serious and not ready to start their project now (like I am). I've worked in a similar industry most of my life and chasing around people that want to dream shop is EXHAUSTING, especially when you have ready and willing people that NEED to get their project done right away, but can't because of time wasters. Lastly, after we left the showroom, we went to one of their preferred flooring company in Livonia. I was blown away by the selection. They have a designated employee that works there on certain days that handles KSI people. He was not there, and the other guy that greeted us showed us around and answered so many questions for us even though he knew at that point he heard KSI he wasn't going to get a commission. I loved that. People that genuinely care! I asked him to honestly tell me, is it worth if couple extra bucks to work with KSI. He said that actually, you end up spending just as much working with KSI than any contractor you would find on your own. The people they have contracted don't fuck around--because KSI will cut them off. They know this.. Also, KSI gets big discounts from all of their vendors.. Plus, the designers coordinate everything. A lot of their vendors only work with designers so you get discounted pricing already because they order in bulk. If this guy who is commission based only cared about his paycheck, he would have lied to me and told me they were horrible to work with and encouraged me to do my floors first, which is a bad idea and he didn't. Instead, he escorted us around their massive warehouse and explained all the flooring options. Looking very forward to working with this company!

Some jobs while I was working there would trail into 3-4 years till completed. People to blame for this dumpster fire is ownership and management. KSI used to stand on good principles.

From the initial design estimate to the final pricing, they tripled the price. This was with no "fluff" added to the design. I suspected they inflated the price so I began the search for another designer. This led me to Kitchen Design Plus and Mary. We already had our cabinet design selected (wood and finish) so we wanted to match what we originally selected. Mary went above and beyond to match the cabinets in both design and finish. In fact, the finish was better than the original and the design was modified to include MANY upgrades and "fluff" to my kitchen...at a cost of $20,000 LESS. Mary understood that due to switching designers and starting from square one, we were on a three month delay form our original target completion date. Every effort was made to expedite the project (as much as possible during COVID) and make certain we were happy with our selections. Upon delivery, one of our end cabinets was damaged. They promptly picked it up to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately the scratches were too deep and it was returned to Grabill to be repaired. No hesitation...they took the approach of "we will make it right" and provided exceptional service. The quality of the cabinetry is exceptional. You can tell immediately they are a quality cabinet with solid wood design. Mary's input was spot on. I had a few ideas (style of island leg, shape of island) that she suggested may look dated. I took her advise and she was right. Her suggestions gave me more seating at the island and a fresh look. Trust your designer!!! I would (and already have) recommended KDP to anyone who is contemplating a kitchen remodel. Expert advise, QUALITY cabinets, and exceptional service.

All of these virtually new appliances had to be replaced. While the owner of KDP talks a good game, once he gets your money, his involvement with any problems stops. You are on your own. As you can see by my initial review in 2015, he told me to "contact the company" for a replacement refrigerator as the warranty was over in 12 months (and it was non operable and non reparable in 15 months). What he failed to report was the Kitchen Aide Company that built that appliance was in China, and when I did try to reach them, a recording said the factory no longer existed-due to flooding. The other three appliances that were put in also were Kitchen Aide. Anyone who is interested can Google "Kitchen Aide" and see the numerous complaints and lawsuits that the company has had, and how it is virtually impossible to get any resolution from them. To further contaminate the issue, the initial refrigerator was a "counter top" refri It is very sad to say that a $40,000 kitchen remodel, with brand new appliances purchased from KDP, stopped working in less than 2 years. I must say in all fairness that the stove still works-even though one of the front burners has a light that does not go on (that occurred less than 2 months after I purchased it). The stove hood still does work (some bulbs went out but that is to be expected). I am keeping my fingers crossed on that as well. Every time I am in a large big box store, I do keep my eyes peeled for a new stove as I know the one KDP put in will not last much longer-after all it has been 3 years.
