The Navigator Red Bus tour of the Skyline walk was incredibly disappointing this past week, during our visit to London and Bath from the US. Our hotel (Bailbrook Lodge) recommended that we must take a tour of the city and/or Skyline walk. We met one of their attendants outside of the bus, who said we would see "stunning views" of the city. We paid 16.50 in lbs, and quickly we were provided a head set and went up top to secure seats. Our bus driver drove so fast, the headset of history was not corresponding at all with the sights. Some people were getting hit with tree branches and having to duck. Not unusual for a bus tour, but there was no time to anticipate or react to low hanging branches. We could not take ONE photograph or see any beauty of the city, based on how fast this driver was driving. At the end of the tour, he parked the bus outside of the main downtown area for 10 minutes which we found quite interesting. He then drove back to the origination of our tour, where all buses are parked. The most disappointing, is my sister convinced us to stop the next day hoping another driver was on duty, to see if our money could be returned or possibly take another tour. The woman outside of the bus (same as before) was gracious and apologetic. She told us to go speak to the driver. Another frustration, as he provided a brochure and told me to "call the number to complain." No refund, no tour. I told the hotel they may want to stop recommending this tour, as it is not worth the money, it is not safe. read more
