They also have a selection of local favorites, which I bought Brookside Bungalow which is a very fresh, clean, relaxing scent. The store will be celebrating their 20th anniversary on Sept 23.... A dozen votive candles for $36 (usually $42.50). Tip -The container of Brookside Bungalow can be brought back and refilled for $2/oz with any of the scents they are filling that month. They don't have just have candles but wax melts, home décor, oils, and a variety of candle sizes. Lori was a guest on my podcast, Kansas City Confidential, where she shared all about the process of making their products and some of her favorite scents. Some of the people in my life are, um, a little hard to shop for, but when I come in here, I always come away with something great. Anyway - Birdie, the owner, lives a life of passion and conviction, which she pours into her craft. You can see it in her candles and you can definitely see it in the studio. The candles - which are available in a variety of scents - come with a clever name and backstory. Light and citrusy scents - they're there. Wood and leather - oh yeah. Vanilla - now we're talking. At the time of this writing - the business announced it is temporarily closing its studio to customers, so it can focus on online orders. Good for them.
