This store is pretty well organized, clean, and smells amazing (duh!) They have everything you'd expect from a B&BW and it's in the mall so the parking is easy and you can easily go to multiple stores for all of your shopping needs. Really, really slow service at this store. I went not too long after the mall had opened for the day and it was a bit chaotic. There were 5 employees and 3 of them were just....standing there with 2 of them staring off into space. The line was starting to pile up yet no action was taken. If you're tasked with something else, that's fine, but falling into the abyss is most certainly not what your employer pays you for. Needed to restock on some items and it was a busy shopping Saturday. The mall was full as was the store. Displays were stocked full and the floor associates were helpful. I grabbed a few random things and put them in my basket and headed to the checkout. The person ringing me up, Terri, was very friendly and helpful. She pointed out that if I grabbed one more item, I would basically be getting them for free. I appreciate her good salesmanship and helping a customer get value. Great experience! read more

I came in for the semi annual sale yesterday evening. I wanted to gift my father a spray. Good grief, I need to post an update to the hideously negative one left previously. This is a good store. I love their 3 wick candles. They are pricey for me, but they have sales like the one going on right now where you buy 2, get 2 free. There's a variety of pumpkin smelling ones now that are delish. I was here yesterday and purchased 4 candles, a hand soap, two body sprays and a lotion. The clerk was really nice and called for someone to get me a new lotion bottle; I grabbed the sampler by accident. The store was busy but kept organized and clean. Please check your change when leaving this store. Their employees will short you (the will purposely steal your money) especially if you are busy dealing with kids. I gave her a $100 bill for a $17 transaction. She gave me $62 dollars back. I should of counted it (but I was dealing with my overwhelmed 2 year old) I just stuck it in my purse. I then went to Michael Kors and realized that she had shorted me. The managers did absolutely NOTHING TO solve this problem. And refused to give me my money. I will be calling corporate on them. I'm not usually one for smelly places, but they have a candle here that smells JUST LIKE a Christmas tree. And considering my parents have had the same dang fake tree for the last 10+ years, I had to have myself one (actually, TWO!) of these candles to help me remember that there is nothing more amazing than the smell of fresh pine. Mmm... While there, I also got an air freshener type thing for my gym bag. Haven't tried it out yet, but it smells like Vanilla Coconut, so it should be pretty darn good. I'm not much for being approached in stores, but the staff members were very helpful (although possibly a little bit overbearing). I had a coupon and they were having a sale, so I got my two candles and air freshener for about $13 bucks - awesome deal! read more

I was driving my daughter crazy smelling EVERY candle and fragrance in this place. I wanted to take home an oil diffuser to fill my home with beautiful fragrant essentials. The store felt more like a tween store, strange taste in music, loud colors and waaay too smelly. However I did find a darling ceramic birdhouse at 50% off! And in my haste to choose a fragrance and stop making my daughter rip her hair out, I grabbed the eucaliptos/mint essential oil. Or, was it? When I got home, I followed the directions and put 20 drops of the oil in the top of the birdhouse, lit a candle and walla! The room was filled with way too much fragrance. In seconds, our eyes started burning and we all retreated to the back yard. I recommend cutting the oil with water. And I went to the local market for an authentic essential oil. The store has gone down permanently. It seemed to have turned around for the better back in June, but honestly, I am done. I am have been in customer service for 28 years, so needless to say, I have lived a while. I go in here and nobody was at the front. I was looking for a few things and I could not find them. Nobody was in front, but I saw and heard them talking on a corner in the back. I walked by several times, shouted for help, but they acted like they did not see me even though they were looking right at me. Then, when I got up to the front, the cashier looked at me. I had mentioned what just happened. She said, "Oh well." Not, "I am sorry you had that experience (which nobody can seem to say these days, which is a normal empathy statement) or "Let's talk about this and see what i can do to make it better." Instead, I got a major attitude and the tall blond woman was abusive and just laughed and said she was the Manager. She said "I am sorry" but it was extremely sarcastic. These people need help. They just were grinning, as if it pleased them that I was upset. Then, I had a "get any item free under 13.50" so I chose a candle and she said that was excluded from the sale. But it was not. It did not say that on the coupon. So, I had to find another item that I did not want. These woman were disgusting. DO NOT GO HERE b/c you will be abused and given sub-par service. Smells so good. Came in to grab some hand sanitizer, but they didn't have the scent I was looking for cause I guess it's only a seasonal fragrance. That said, I was able to find a few replacements so the visit wasn't a total loss. read more

Everyone is so helpful here! Give great recommendations on items and always tell you about the deals! Which they usually always have some kind of sale going on! They always have new collections/scents. And they have so many different items. Hand soaps, lotions, perfume, diffusers, car fresheners and much more. They have great deals (sometimes), I love their products (well some of them anyway). I USED to love their customer service. I go here all the time and most of the time it's wonderful but nowadays I don't even know. I usually go in, walk around for 5 minutes, get what I want and get in line to leave. I go up then the cashier suggests I get another item to get a discount so I put stuff on hold to go get more. I get more and I'm in line again. I get to the front and apparently the stuff I put on hold was put away, so I have to leave the line and go get it again, then I get in line for the THIRD time. The lines were 6-7 customers each time. At that point I just gave up and left. One of the ladies out front apologized but hey I don't blame her she didn't do anything, I was more upset with the cashiers and how disorganized they were. I'm usually in and out of that store in less than 10 minutes. I was in line for WAY longer than that. In line THREE times for some better-than-drug-store cosmetics? I dipped. I smell good!! No, really...smell me. I don't mind if you bombard me for whiffs of my essence as it is completely understandable to want just a fraction of a sniff of me after walking out of BBW! Seriously, I do not have to spray anything on and I walk out smelling wonderful! Love. If I lived closer to a Bath and Body works, they would be part of my morning routine. This is really just meant for the store manager, Shelley Hecker, at the Tukwila store where I visited today BUT staff were unable to provide me with any other means to contact her aside from the corporate number (yes, I also sent an email there). My reason for writing is due to my unpleasant experience. I am normally a regular customer but today I was approached 5 times by staff despite my not having made eye contact nor inquiry. The choice of the store is to have background music and due to a severe hearing loss means I must focus on the person talking to me so I can face them and read their lips. I got to explain this three times to floor staff (and no, it looks like they did not inform the others). On the other hand, when I had a question, I had to look for them (no problem), I saw a discarded cup on one of the shelves (they could have cleaned it up and focused on that) and at check out which was six customers deep, there were only two of the six registers open (again, wouldn't have been wiser to utilize those floor staff to monitor real customer need rather than try to drum up business?) What is interesting is immediately following my visit, I went a few doors down to the organic bath store (Lush) where there was not music. Upon entering, a representative just said hi and let me decide whether I needed their help and did not pursue me or ask me questions. At one point, I was reading a product sign and had a question which my face advertised and at that point another representative noticed, approached me and asked if I had a question. Can you see the difference? The staff said floor staff are not on commission so why ask me at the register if someone helped me? I don't have a problem with a commission but be transparent and complete the full customer transaction to ensure customer satisfaction. Again, this was supposed to be private and personal but having being given only corporate contact is disappointing. read more

I came in today looking for a specific body spray. Couldn't remember the name. Only remembered bottle color and smell. Val asked if i needed help, i told her about my my situation, and she showed me all the ones in the store based on my vague description. She did show a few more that i might have liked, and i went from searching for a specific one to walking away with three that i now love. She even mentioned the "buy two get one free" sale going on. She made this shopping experience great with her customer service and her enthusiasm. I will definitely come back again when Im at the mall. read more
