I popped in here during their annual sale and employees were very helpful. I was able to find many items for under four dollars and if you know about Bath & body Works, you know that that is a deal. One helpful employee even pointed out a candle mistake that I almost made. I almost bought the full price one instead of the one on sell that I intended to get. I appreciated the honesty. Management Issue Seems that one manager named Analisa may not be the best suited for her job. Every occasion I'm here shopping her poor teenage sales leads are oddly..shell shocked. Days I shop she isn't there the same employees are oddly...relaxed. funny right? Another time I walk in to shop and was ignored by her (rude) then immediately greeted the second group behind me instead. frankly seems inadequate for her high position...will not be returning to this location due to behavioral issues! read more

This store is nicely organized and clean. They have a lot of product. I came in looking for a specific plug in. I had to spend $12 to get my next BBW reward and wanted to use it for this specific item. They didn't have the plug in, but I decided to buy some refills to hit my Reward - and then go to another location for the plug in. This location does not use the reward system yet - so you have to cal customer service for the app to have them add your total. I've had to do that in the past and it took three calls. I cancelled what I was purchasing and went to another store where I could do everything at once. read more

This is a beautiful store with incredibly well trained attentive sales people. Every inch of the store is merchandised exquisitely. I went in for the $2.95 hand soaps (Blackberries and Basil, Strawberry Pound Cake, and Champagne Toast) and ended up getting 3 full sized body products resulting in 3 free products (Shower gel, lotion and spray sets from the Champagne Toast and Autumn Drive scents). I started to notice in the store that I was getting a headache from smelling so many of their products by spraying the little white cards, trying out a couple creams on my hands, smelling candles, hand sanitizer, handling some decorative items, and washing my hands with one of the soaps. I shrugged it off and thought I was just hungry perhaps. I used the Autumn Drive lotion later on and it smelled so good. I took a shower to make sure any random scented sprays were not lingering in my hair or on my body and tried another lotion, champagne toast and used the spray in the room I was in but didn't put it on me. I also used that foaming hand soap. The headache has taken a turn into a pretty bad headache that will not go away. I knew that this was going to be a likely scenario for me but I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative to my favorite pricey lotions from Lush and Clarins that NEVER cause a headache. Clarins is a European brand so even though they use chemical fragrance it is not an issue for some reason. Lush also NEVER causes an issue and I think some of their fragrances are from actual plants etc. I shopped at Body Shop ages ago prior to acquisition and NEVER had issues with their products including scented oil (Mango). One of the sales women who helped me told me that 'Champagne Toast' doesn't trigger migraines for her personally but I don't recall if we also talked about the other scents I purchased, 'Autumn Drive', 'Strawberry Pound Cake', and 'Blackberries and Basil'. I am so frustrated because I wasted so much time driving there and trying out all the scents and driving back. I also feel like the soap (Champagne Toast foaming) is not actually moisturizing even though it has 'natural essential oils, vitamin E, shea extract and aloe'. I know that my hands would be way more moisturized if I used a product that actually had a noticeable amount of these ingredients in it from individually using all of those ingredients on my skin at different times. So the reality of what is in these products and the side effects I experienced leads me to believe that the other ingredients including chemical fragrance are what is causing the issues and that the amount of the ingredients that are actually good for my skin in my experience are in such little amounts that it is meaningless to my experience personally. I am hoping they will take the products back. I think I am done with shopping all L Brands and Victoria's Secret Brands (Victoria's Secret, Pink) after this experience. It's just not worth another headache like this from being in their stores. I assume their formulations are similar. I am dreading going back into this store to return the items now because it could trigger another headache for me. read more

Great store but 5+STARS IS REALLY FOR KELLY the best salesperson/employee/advisor/manager??/psychic?? EVER!!! I have worked in many industries...sales retail food hospitality entertainment ETC...and KELLY IS THE BEST I've ever met!! She and all employees were very nice of course but KELLY WAS OUTSTANDINGLY also very knowledgeable about all the products and she knew which ones I would like even before I did!!! The store is kept very clean. Parking is very easily located in a large parking lot right off the 5 fwy Camino De Estrella exit next to Ralphs and Habit Burger. read more

Both times I've stopped in at this location I have had a 5-star experience! Even though they were having an unofficial meeting of some sort... (about the products) the employees took the time to help me find the right gift & reward! The store is clean and on sunny mornings it's a nice visit without having to enter a mall! Cute little Bath & Body Works store near San Clemente Beach. I love coming here to get my candles, hand soaps and lotions because I don't have to go to the mall. It's much easier to just park and walk to the store. Service is great. Products are fabulous. read more

The manager Jessica was super helpful and informative in any questions I had. This girl knew her dents and products. Both her and Laura interacted with my sister and I in a non pushy way but it was like we were all hanging out. .. The new eucalyptus oil is amazing. Jessica recommended it and said to put it in shower. I do that and on my pillow cases(at own risk I just REALLY love the smell). This new store is convenient in south county so u don't have to go to the mall. Thanks again ladies for a great first experience. See you soon! read more

I usually love this store because it is easy to get in and out of without too many people crowding the store. I am also a member of the rewards program and this is where my problem started. I went to the store because I get a free birthday gift as a rewards member. I picked up some hand soap and went to the counter. I didn't have my cell phone with me but I gave my phone number so the cashier could look it up to find my rewards. The cashier said she could not find my birthday gift in my account even though I knew it was there and received an e-mail reminding me that I get a free gift. So I left the store. I then went home and tried to order something online to pick it up at the store. Since Thanksgiving week, purchase and pick up has not been an option. The only option is to buy online and have it shipped to you. So I called the toll free number and was told that store pickup was temporarily disabled because of the holidays. Bath & Body Works does not want to bombard the stores with online orders and pickup. I then told her that the cashier at the store could not find my free birthday gift in my rewards account. She said that she could see it in my account. So I asked for an extension for a few days so I can try again and go to the store with my cell phone. She couldn't do that for me and just said that I have until midnight to use my free gift online. Well, I don't want to pay for shipping for a $7.50 item. And, I don't want to drive back to the store again. So I gave up. There is no point for me to go to the store and there is no point for me to call the toll free number for help. I realize it is probably not the store's fault but both customer service and the store failed. I am really disappointed in B&BW. As a loyal customer it is sad to get customer service that can't resolve my issue. read more

This is for the manager Becki, here. Because of COVID-19, the Mission Viejo location was closed, but the mall was open. I could see looking in the window, that they had items I wanted that had been sold out online. At the time, the shop was only doing curbside pick up for items bought online. I then went to the San Clemente location and also found the item was sold out. I explained the situation to one of the staff and then she got her manager, Becki, who also worked in MV. Becki promised to call me as soon as she found out when the Mission Viejo location was going to open for in-store purchases. Sure enough, she called me days before and I was able to show up and get my item. Thank you Becki and staff for going above and beyond the call of duty and caring about my dilemma. Love the San Clemente Store. The employees are very helpful without being overly pushy. also love the locale. There is one employee that I feel could use a little more training. She's not quite as polished as the others. I've been in the store about 3 times and she seems to be knocking over and running into things. I believe her name is Katelyn. Doesn't seem to quite fit in with the motif and flow of the store. Hopefully, she will get better with a little more training from her co-workers. Love the Store, tho'. read more
