Bad experience. Looked forward to having a grooming home for a doodle. Four appointments all cancelled for one reason or another. They don't return calls timely and you, the customer, have to do the rescheduling. It's not the employees/groomers. It is bad management. read more

my little wire haired terrier was adorable before but now he's utterly gorgeous. they took good care of him and hes so happy without all that fur in the summer heat. It pains me to do this, but I figured it was coming. The new owner's attitude is a tad too unprofessional, and it takes an insanely long time for her to use her existing technology to set an appointment. Like customers shuffling feet and exchanging glances kind of time. Anyhow, I started coming here under Tina's ownership 10 years ago. What a gem. She was extremely careful about hiring, and believed strongly that dogs shouldn't be languishing in a kennel, but cared for at their appointment time. Under the new ownership, things slipped a bit but we stuck with it. After today, we're out. My mom took her elderly dog in for his usual wash and cut. He's been going there for a few years, and the process always takes under two hours, often just an hour. Today mom took him in and after THREE hours and no news she went back to see what was going on. They said it would take another 40 minutes??? After 50 minutes he was finally done, so about FOUR hours total (he's 20 lbs). Their excuse? He has an undercoat. Yes! He does indeed have an undercoat! As a matter of fact, he was born with it! He's had it the entire time he's been coming here! Unfortunately, he's elderly and also in heart failure. He was exhausted after FOUR hours at the groomer and coughed and shook all the way home. He refused dinner and is sleeping. I don't know whether the owner is covering for a new, inexperienced groomer or what, but today was just totally unacceptable. Anyone have a recommendation for a decent groomer? read more

This grooming business used to be a blessing- Natalie used to be our groomer. Unfortunately she is not there any longer and we have had the same groomer the past 3 appointments. After our first appointment I noticed she was not very open to conversation about what I wanted done for my dog. I let it go and thought it might have been a bad moment or day. After our second appointment I called the owner to let her know some of my concerns about how the service was there again and she asked me to give her another chance and she would speak to her. My problem has been that the groomer leaves the clipper lines in my dogs haircut not blending at all in many areas. She is not very welcoming to conversation about my concerns and overall the service is not what I am paying for. Definitely wish I could find Natalie read more

Basically, I don't trust this grooming business and I'll never return. The experience they put my 8 month old puppy through was terrible. I like this place and the workers. The workers are very friendly . I love that I get to see and be with my baby while they're cutting his nails . I get to help hold him and calm him down , he's better when I'm there singing and talking to him. Really great place to bring your pooch to get groomed. We've given our pup a bath at their self service - lots of tools and shampoos and blow dryers. Really good place to do it yourself. My friend was looking for a groomer for his little dog. I was in the area and stopped in. It was an awful experience. The place was a cluttered mess, the dogs were on small tables close by each other and looked stressed. Lady I spoke to, I assume was the owner was unprofessional. I tried to use B&B several times for their walk-in nail trims on my two dogs. Unfortunately, I always ended up with the same staff member. She slices right through nerve and blood vessel -- not by accident, but as a matter of practice. When I got my small dog back, shaking, I'd hold him and his nails would bleed onto my shirt. The last straw was when I took my mother-in-law's dog. She put him on a table, put the wire lead around his neck, and he hung by his neck while she sliced through his nails. I had to stop her and insist that another groomer finish the dog. The rest of the day, he was limping. The good news, is I finally bought my own nail grinder. I've been doing my dogs' nails ever since. I don't do a good job but at least I can face my dogs without guilt. read more

I wish I would have left a review prior to the new ownership. I have been taking my dogs here for at least 10 years maybe longer. Prior to the new owner coming in, service was extremely good! I recommended this place to all of my friends with dogs. Now...*sigh* I made an appointment for my 2 little ones and it was scheduled for July 5th. Cool. I get a text message that says my appointment has been changed, no date. I call and the phone rang at least 20 times, only for someone to pickup and fumble around with the phone (never said hello) and hang up. I called right back and the phone rang until I got tired of hearing it ring. Both of the ladies who use to groom my dogs are gone now as well. I'm done. If the original owner is reading this. 2 stars because of the person working the front counter. As a first time patron I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service. I'm normally patient but felt blatantly disrespected. Then, when I brought the behavior to her attention the immediate & repeated "I didn't see you, it was unintentional' 'I was busy' response..... our groomer Natalie was awesome. Very friendly and I loved my dog's appearance. If rating on the groomer alone I would give 5 stars easy. I absolutely LOVE Bath & Biscuits! I have been coming here since I rescued my dog (Maltese/Poodle mix) seven years ago. I was very hesitant on bringing him to a groomer at first because when I rescued him he was slightly aggressive with new people. Tina, the owner, is such a kind person and always gives the best customer service. She assured me they would do their best to work with him. Alex, one of the groomers, provides such excellent care with my little one. His first visit with her went so well, to my surprise, and he looked like he was actually smiling! He couldn't wag his tail fast enough! I knew I found the place for us. There was even a period when my dog had an ear infection and skin problem so Alex went above and beyond when I brought in his special soap from the vet and had to follow the instructions given for his treatment plan. Even though their appointments are at least a month out, it's definitely worth the wait. I was even told they now have a text reminder service! I live in downtown now and continue to make the drive to Bath & Biscuits because of their fantastic service and individualized care. Tina and her staff are doing an amazing job and I'm so happy to have people who can manage making my little boy look so handsome after coming in looking like a raggedy cotton ball. While I really liked this place at first, my next trip back revealed it to be a less than desirable location. The dog wash part is nice, but they only offer 1 type of shampoo. The dryers they have are not good. They take forever to heat up for warm air and the hoses don't stay attached. Took about 45 mins to dry my dog. I have recently gone to another dog wash which offers way more for the exact same price. The worst thing was listening to the groomers talk a bunch of mess about the pets they were grooming and their owners. That was completely unprofessional and make my experience extremely awkward, making me not want to go back. read more

I was very satisfied with the service my Abby the 100+ Lb Lab received today. This was my first time at this establishment and I am sure that it will be the first of many more. The lady at the register saw how crazy my dog can be and advised me that they can come out to the car and get her next time. Apparently Abby calmed down after I left and did not give them any problems to my surprise. They also helped by walking her to the car afterward. With my mobility issue it was a great help.
