They setup an appointment with a salesman Gordon Rodgers and he was very nice and helpful with determining what the house needed and what we wanted to be done. Price was reasonable and we received discounts depending on certain things which helped. Scheduling was easy. The day before the roofing crew came out I was given a courtesy call who to expect and supervisors name . The next day the crew came out and began working at once to make sure things would be covered for safety to the landscape and windows. Program director appeared to make sure the crew was on schedule and helped out with getting things hauled away from clearing the roof. Supervisor came to help with directing the actual install of the roof and later the chimney flashing. When all was finished , the crew did an exceptional cleanup up of the surroundings . Appreciated their bosses came out to check on how things were coming along and if I had any questions. In my mind, there were only a few possibilities: the lines needed to be re-pitched, the ditch connection needed to be lowered, or the whole system was somehow hydraulically inadequate. I had this drainage system installed just last fall, so the idea that it could already be clogged seemed impossible. Enter A+ Gutters & Drains. They came out the very same day I called. After I walked them through my highly sophisticated theory of grades, elevations, pitch, and drainage design, we headed to the discharge point at the street ditch. The technician took one look and smiled. "There really shouldn't be a glued-on end cap with a tight grill on it. These tend to back up and clog." "No way. Not already," I replied. "Would you like me to check?" he asked. A few minutes later, after attempting to pry it off with a screwdriver, the cap ultimately had to be cut off with a Sawzall. What was waiting inside? Inches of roof shingle granules, debris, and enough gunk to completely prove my engineering theory wrong. In about five minutes, A+ solved the mystery that I had mentally escalated into a full-scale drainage reconstruction project. To their credit, they graciously cut off the other problematic caps as well and explained why they were destined to clog. No upsell. No unnecessary work. Just an honest diagnosis and a simple fix. The estimator recommended replacing the existing gutters around the entire house with a larger size ($10-12K) - completely ignoring the root cause of the issue. As this expense was outside our budget, his recommendation was to call back in a few years when I had enough money saved to pay for it!!! An immediate fix was needed... he reluctantly agreed to provide an estimate to relieve the affected gutter by adding a new downspout in a different location to connect with the underground drain line where it was flowing properly. I contacted two other gutter & drain companies and amazingly their first advice was to do the latter (add a downspout)... and both quotes came in less than half the cost I was quoted from A+ Gutters & Drains. Providing a cost-effective resolution was not in their best interest. Be aware!

I remember vividly me and my adjuster reached out to them multiple times for two months with no response even though they have been assigned to this claim, after no response, me and my adjuster decided to report them to the insurance company only after we reported them to the insurance company they started responding to us after a two month delay. I decided I did not want to move forward with them for repairs because of this, And had to seek out a new construction company to do the repairs. I do not recommend this company at all if you're looking for a company that is responsive, professional, or with integrity.

Consumers & Insurance Companies, beware!…read more We entered contract with Benchmark on January 11th, 2022 after experiencing water loss from a faulty bathroom faucet on December 14th, 2021. Our contract was signed with Benchmark for $14,795.78 to perform work including flooring, drywall repair, painting, vanity replacement, etc. Benchmark's contract in the bottom right hand corner includes insurance work addendums which were not filled out by the project manager, were not orally disclosed to us by the project manager nor did we as home owners initial or sign to the terms. It is important to note that we were referred to Benchmark by our insurance company and were not required to utilize this company but elected to. (All loss dollars were paid directly to us and were instructed we could hire any contractor we chose to.) Upon work completion in April payment was made to Benchmark in full. Unbeknown to us, Benchmark filed a supplement for additional work they claim to have completed in our home that was not included in the estimate for $2,327.37. After several written communications back and forth with the company owner, our adjustor was included. It was discovered that Benchmark furthermore did not updated the insurance estimate to include the real costs of materials used for repairs. This includes hundreds of dollars saved on a vanity/countertop and thousands of dollars saved by the hard wood flooring we selected being on close out. In addition, we were "required" by Benchmark to work with Rite Rug flooring. During this process, we replaced the additional carpet and flooring in our home in order for all rooms to match. We learned that Rite Rug adds around 20% of the invoice when working with Benchmark due to this being insurance work. Benchmark refuses to acknowledge this as true though the invoices once migrated to our names directly were around 20% lower and essentially mirrored what our neighbor had just paid a few weeks earlier for the same material and square footage. From our insurance adjustor's perspective, this dispute became between us as consumers and the contractor. Several emails from the owner included the language "we will move forward" with the assumption that they would file a mechanics lien on our property. The supplement has been paid to them at this time as we work with the Ohio Attorney General and the Ohio Department of Insurance Fraud & Enforcement Division. Hundreds if not thousands of dollars related to this claim belong to consumers or insurance companies related to this claim, not this contractor. Consumers are price gauged via increasing insurance rates from these types of poor unethical behaviors. Consider hiring a different contractor to perform your work.
