We were later informed that the delay occurred because the sales team assumed, based solely on my last name, that we only spoke Spanish. As a result, we were told to wait constantly which ended up being for a Spanish-speaking representative--despite the fact that I do not speak Spanish and never requested such assistance.This situation was both frustrating and concerning. Making assumptions about customers based on their name is inappropriate and unprofessional. Not only did this result in a significant waste of our time, but it also left us feeling unfairly stereotyped.
