This operation is very disappointing overall. I have purchased many items in the fly shop, including a reel that I needed an extra spool for. I was told by the corporate office after searching to email/call the Hookset manager and let him know what other stores had the item I needed as they could ship it to the Hookset store. He never replied to me by phone or email. They are also always out of items. I recently tried to buy a net and they were out. If you ask them they never know if or when it will be in. Lastly they don't answer the phone, as I have called 3 times today to see if they have an item in stock. This is a poorly run business. read more

I've been going to Hooksett Bass Pro for a little over a year. I have alway found the staff very helpful and polite. I had a staff member spend over an hour helping me pick out the right bait casting rod. They have often talked me out of buying more expensive products and steered me toward a better product for my needs. My favorite fishing store by far. read more

I have shopped and browsed this place many times, but today deserves a review. Two years ago I purchased my daughter a Disney princesses fishing rod. We came home right away and started to use it and it broke. She decided to put it in her closet and move on. Today she asked if we could take the rod back to bass pro and get another. I told her we could give it a try, but no guarantees. I went into Bass Pro and explained what had happened, and they said they don't return items 2 years old... I stated I figured as much. The employee asked me to hold on and she would get a manager. The manager came out and I explained the story and she said to my daughter, go pick out in just like it, or anything close and we'll take care of it. She went and picked out a similar same price fishing rod, Barbie this time and was extremely happy! I was ready to buy a new one for her, but Bass Pro Shops our the love of fishing for my little princess before corporate $$. I will always make all my fishing and gun purchases moving forward from Bass Pro Shops. You also have an 8 year old little girl that will forever shop your business! Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered something for a Christmas present, in PLENTY of time for it to come. It never came. I contacted customer service who said they'd look into it. No response. Then they place the order again. Still nothing. I contact customer service again and they assure me it will be delivered by this Friday. Now I get an email (3 WEEKS after the original order) saying the item is out of stock and backordered until February. And the case was closed as solved. So sorry, this is NOT solved.No apology, no attempt to make things better, just "Gee... you won't get it until February." I will never, ever, ever be ordering from them again. If I could give less than one star I would. This is ridiculous. I better get that item as soon as it is shipping. With a big apology to my nephew. read more

In terms of a Bass Pro shops this is the most ghetto of them all. Saying that....it's still bass pro. Tons of tackle and outdoor sporting equipment. Probably the most basic and boring tank of all the stores I've visited but I was worth the stop. They always are. Tons of staff cruising around for help. read more

I had an awful experience with Bass Pros parts department. We have a Nitro boat trailer that needed a marker light lens cap. We had to special order the part, bought two just in case the other one cracks at some point of ownership, showed the counter person a picture, all seemed well and we ordered the parts. Well we got two brake light housings after a week of ordering it... then we proceeded to try and return these considering we don't need them at all, they said we couldn't because it was special order. So frustrating!! I tried reaching out to the store manager, he then said he would get a message to the parts manager to call me. Still waiting for that call 5 days later. I will be calling again and getting this issue resolved. A large company should have much better customer service than this and if I'm not mistaken, they pride themselves on customer service. So disappointing. I will no longer be giving my business to Bass Pro and I will always order from Tackle Warehouse. read more

This place is not a huge store like other bass pro shops but is still large. I love the place! Take my kids there all the time and I buy bunches of stuff there! If I HAD to post one complaint it would be that they don't keep up with their rimfire ammo stock. I know I know rimfire sells like a MOFO but other places around always have it. Now let me start off by saying this : I love camping. I grew up in NH,and use to camp up in the White Mountains ever since I was a kid,and I still do to this day. So going to BPS is like going into an outdoor candy store. Seeing all the cool trophy animals (not sure if they're real) walking in brings me back to my uncles cabin. Then you're greeted by a rustic interior and a TON of different merchandise. Fishing, boating, hiking, biking, kayaking, hunting, bows, shoes, clothing, camping and so much more. I could seriously spend a few days just looking in the camping isles with all the great options. The only reason I took a star away was for the (at times) outrageous prices. Some of the items seem to be way about MSRP,and it usually results in me shopping online for the same items I find in store. I will give this place props for great options, and maybe have more sales or coupons for customers. Also, I love looking at their giant fishing tank,and I enjoy seeing all the different types of fish. read more

I love this store. Outdoors and sportsman stuff aside. The things they do for children and families is unreal. Between the crafts every month to Santas wonderland at Christmas there is always something going on for the kids. I spent five hours there with my three kids 5,6,13 years old not board at all try going to the mall for an hour and see how you make out. Terrible Service, if you want to see what it feels like to be a number go here. I've purchased several big ticket items here. One item was a special order that was supposed to take 3 weeks to come in and had to be paid for upfront in full. Three months later I finally got my bed. Also have had bad customer service all around. My guess is no one really wants to be there, that is the vibe you get from most employees. My opinion is stay home and order online from another store or buy from a local small shop. read more

As mentioned it is in a refurbed Lowes. Guess why lowes closed, Bad location. This location is not an easy in and out. The space is small compared to other BassPro shop locations. The aquarium is embarrassingly small. 4 people could barely stand in front to watch. This location does not have the inventory other stores have. Not sure what they were thinking. They did seem to have a good supply of boats. I was there on a weekday, with the small parking lot, I would hate to see it on a weekend! There are much better locations someone could open in the I93 RTE 101 corridor that would cater both the sea coast and mountain ares. Maybe Cabellas or Gander mountain will take note. read more

I've been disappointed with the staff in this store before, referring back to last Christmas that had me writing a long email to management...never heard a word back but the process has changed this year. Tonight, I went in looking to grab a pair of the flannel lined jeans that were on a 5 day sale from Black Friday for $24.95. Got to the register, they rang up normal price of $39.99. Pointed out the sign and was told, "well that's the price. Take or leave it". I left. I will never shop there again, I'd rather drive 2 and a half hours to LL Bean in Freeport, Maine where at least the staff are polite, easy going, and the merchandise is guaranteed. BAD customer service. Tried to use contact us link to ask about a prop and schedule a service appointment for my Bass Tracker. I never got a response even after trying on 3 separate occasions. I then called the service center to get this info directly. The employee I spoke to asked me if he could call me right back as he needed to get to a different phone. I never received a call and at that point I decided to go elsewhere for the info and services I needed. It doesn't seem like they want to help customers or make money performing the services they claim to provide. read more

I have to up grade my review of the NH bass pro shop as I purchased a compound bow last november and had it set up and tuned by the pro at bass pro , he did a great job setting me up with arrows and tuning of the bow , bagged a nice doe with set up . have to say I love this place , just not good pricing on ammo. read more

* Worst Buying Experience ever... Went to Purchase a new Boat when i arrived it was 4:30 And all the Sale person did was ...look at his watch the whole time. A few minutes before 5:00 he left and had other Sales Person show me a Boat I should have left then but i did not. Next Day i called and told them i would be dropping off my boat for Trade in Value, Two Days later after making many calls they came up with a trade in value. When writing the Purchase and Sales they did not reach out to the Bank to find out what the Payoff would be after i gave them a contact at the Bank. Two Days later went there to Pick up new Boat and Brought them a Bank Check assuming they had done their Job. After giving them a check Signing all the Paper work they called me to let me know I owed them and extra 2000.00 dollars. I should have told them to bad paper work was done they signed and i signed, But I'm not a stiff so I went Back and Gave them the Money. They need to learn how to do Paper work and how to sell Boats ... I was going to go to Dover Marine were I purchased my last Boat, But since they were so close i thought i would give them the Sale... I stood at the counter for over 5 min while three guys behind the counter chatting with each other, they never even looked at me or acknowledged I was there.. I would give 0 stars but they do offer a military discount so that counts for 1. Customer service department is bottom of the barrel. I bought reloading primers and when I went to use them, I found that the wrong type were mixed in with mine. I took them all from the same display. I was told that I could not return them by the manager who refused to "take a loss" and she said that my sales receipt was past 90 days anyway. DO NOT BUY RELOADING SUPPLIES FROM THIS BASS PRO SHOP. Usually what you need is empty. Go to Shooters Outpost at the next exit. Thats where I had to go to get the correct primers which were all correctly displayed and not mixed together. Bass Pro Shops in this location gives a much needed outdoor sports presence to the local area. I like the store itself, but I was a bit surprised by the size of the store which seems smaller than similar stores of this genre I have visited in other states (Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas) and also compared with Kittery Trading Post locally. The impression I got was like a woodsier Gander Mountain than what I would come to expect from Bass Pro. That being said, they have a decent selection of product and the staff is super friendly and genuinely excited to work there which is a great sign. I will shop there again. read more

i ordered a large rod rake to hold my rods on line when it showed up the first box was all dented the inside box from manufacuter was opened and then tape up the shipping matereil styrsfoam was all broken up made big mess small pieces all over the rod rack dad a crack on 1 of the 1 pieces when i called they did not care about condition if any parts are missing call we will send they sold me a return and damaged product a second at best i hope the money they saved will make up on what i will not be spending with in future ron lambert read more

My wife bought me a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses (in November) for Christmas. I opened them Christmas morning and they didn't fit. We tried to return them and was met with the rudest, most ridiculous interrogation we've ever experienced. 3 people looked at them, questioned us on whether I had worn them (clearly not - stickers were still on the lenses and it was 1.5 days after Christmas.....) then accused us of scratching them, then asked why they were bought in November and being returned now. News flash Bass Pro; people do X-Mas shopping in Nov and people don't get their gifts until Christmas (I don't believe this is a new concept). Anyway, the 3 people kept rubbing the lenses and trying to figure out if the scratch they thought they saw, was a scratch. (BTW - the cloth they were rubbing with was a cloth bag that other glasses come in and it was FILTHY!) We explained that if they had a scratch, they came that way as I wore them a grand total of 30 seconds and realized quickly they didn't fit me. They tried to say that they would give us an immediate refund, but because they were bought in Nov, they were hesitating. We explained THEIR 60 day return policy to them and they then honored the return. However, since my wife didn't have the credit card with her that she bought it with, they wouldn't give us a return. We opted to go look at other sunglasses to do an exchange, since we lived 1 hour away and didn't want the hassle of going to get her card. After trying on a number of styles, I chose another Costa Del Mar model. The same people started rubbing the lenses again with their filthy glasses bag and deemed their own glasses to have a scratch and refused to sell them. Needless to say, we walked out, drove an hour to get home, got back in the car this morning, drove 1 hour to the store and returned the sunglasses AND my wife got interrogated again today BY THE SAME PEOPLE. I have bought many outdoors products over the years; mostly from LL Bean and Cabelas, who will get all of my business for the rest of my life. Bass Pro is out - worst customer service ever. read more
