They recently changed their rules regarding cosignment. There's more to it, but a few key things to note is 1) The 18.5% they took went up to 22%. 2) You no longer pick the price. They look it up and give you a number. For me, it was 80% of what the firearm was going used for online. So I should've been able to sell it there for $525, but they told me $425. 3) If you tell them you want to cosign, they look up the serial, look up the price, and you do not like the price and tell them you're not interested, then they charge you $10 for "doing the research". I hope Nashua's Granite State range is still a good place for cosignment. I haven't gone there yet. It was such a great option at Shooter's. Myself and a bunch of my friends had cosigned multiple firearms through them in the last couple of years. It used to be a great experience. read more

The good: Large store w good selection. The bad: The owner is nuts and likes to tell customers to kiss his ass, mock them, and publicly bash them and dox them. Its a large well organized store, and they usually have a good selection, ok prices (not great not terrible), but zero discounts for military or law enforcement, which is surprising as everyone else gives one. The problem I have with the store is seeing how the owner treats customers. Someone posted a review he didn't like, so shared it to their FB business page flipping out. When one customer brought up some valid points in the review, the owner proceeded to tell the customer to kiss his ass, posted pics of the guy's profile all over, started mocking the guy's work, and implied he was gay. This is NH and there's dozens and dozens of other gun stores locally, and I'm sure as shit not going back to Shooter's ever again after seeing this mess. The last thing customers want from a gun store is to have their info blasted around publicly- I know I surely don't. read more

Neat gun store, but when I look at a "firearm museum", I don't want to see tons of Nazi regalia and memorabilia staring back at me.... Esp when the ONLY flags or regalia in the "museum" are Nazi uniforms, Nazi swatstikas, Nazi signs, and more. I'm an Army veteran myself- and I know the owner is,though frankly I'm not sure what side their loyalties lie after seeing what i saw today-but frankly they're an embarrassment to the uniform and service if they want to fly a swatstika around their business. I've bought guns there before- never again, nor will my family, and although it is 100% their right to display whatever they want, it's my right as a customer to refuse to do business with them ever again. read more

After seeing some negative reviews here, I figured I should chip in because I'm reading stuff that's pretty far outside of my experience. Now, I'll grant you that gun people can seem coarse, curt and even salty. This place is no exception... but neither are other retailers and many of the patrons... I'll even grant you that some of the most helpful employees they've had over the years have moved on for various reasons. However, this place is the absolute best place for firearms in NH... which is only my opinion after doing business with them for a while. Visitors have to remember, they're in an industry that is under heavy fire all the time and people want to hold them responsible for everything the news tells us is harming our children... and from the ATF, whose on a real roll lately... Of course they're going to try to protect themselves from ridiculous people who walk through the door. When business owners make rules that seem ridiculous its because some jerk (or many) made it necessary. Be cooperative... they don't actually want bad relationships with us... Some customers aren't worth the business' time. Again, this is my opinion. The reloading gear here is unparalleled and they usually have a person behind the counter whose at least moderately experienced. I buy projectiles online in bulk now but I'd go here for Berrys projectiles, 8lbers of powder and Dillon gear all day long. That said, Dillon replacement parts are direct through the company. Unfortunately, the 2020 rush cleared out most of the good used stuff but that happened everywhere. They still have the best selection outside of Kittery Trading Post. Personally I don't care about new firearms but they've got lots of those too but not every brand. They're even helpful with NFA paperwork. I've sometimes dealt with self righteous employees who need to be treated like they're special... but I've rarely been to a gun shop where that's not been an issue. I've dealt with lack of stock and parts they just don't carry but, please remember, they're in business to sell stuff not to support your bi-annual obscure needs for that 2mm safety spring in your cz75... or mine... Be nice to the people you're trying to work with... assume they're doing their best, which is probably true. Maybe rolling up on Yelp and throwing around one star reviews suggests that you might have some of the annoying traits that you're accusing people of... read more

I have shopped here for years. The owner came out and met me and showed my father and I all of the guns in the museum. It's great to see a family business with hard working family members. I have bought ammunition and guns here. The staff is super knowledgeable and prices are fair. We are lucky to have them in our area. read more

So I've been to Shooters Outpost a handful of times and overall it's an ok store. There's a great selection of products to browse and firearms to check out/handle without any hassle really. However the staff can be a little standoff-ish and quick to judge/argue. I accidentally purchased and extended mag for a GLOCK 43 for my Glock 48. They are not compatible, the glock 43x and glock 48 are. So I went it to make an easy exchange for the right one and they argued with me saying that they ARE compatible. I did my research and even tried putting it on my gun and knew for sure it didn't work so I stood my ground, they let me check for the right one which I found and they then changed their tone and apologized profusely. So my advice is if you go to shooters, do your research first and be confident in your knowledge because they might try to tell you otherwise. read more

The customer service is why I'm posting a review. My first time into the store I purchased an AR. As a first time gun owner, I had a million questions. They answered them all and made me feel comfortable with the purchase. Then today I took it to the range. Awesome, but when I tried to put it back together after cleaning it, I messed it up. The bolt carrier group was installed incorrectly and I couldn't remove the upper from lower to fix. I thought, "I broke my gun". Called at 5:15pm to ask if I'd need to take it to a gunsmith. They told me to bring it in before 6 and they'd take a look. Arrived at 5:45pm and 10 minutes later - FIXED!!!! No charge. They then took another 5mins showing me how to install it next time. Above and beyond customer service! Shooters' has gained a customer for life. read more

You can't go wrong here. Always great service, great inventory. Riley's used to be our go-to and before they closed we started going here. They are organized and when the world is not in COVID panic, lots of inventory to buy bulk at reasonable prices. This place stands out in my mind because of the customer service, particularly with regard to NFA items. Cassie is awesome, takes care of everything, knows her stuff and is a joy to work with. Great assistance making a selection, was sensitive to my finances as well as my other requirements. Horrid, horrid place. I went to Shooters Outpost ONE time. I'd NEVER go back there. First, it took them about 2 hours to process a long gun I'd won at a Friends of NRA event in Concord. This was THEIR delay, not a NICS delay. Second, all the guns are kept away from the customers, and you can't touch anything. Third, their checkout insisted on making me show ID to buy some ammo, falsely claiming it was the law (I'm in my 60s, so it certainly wasn't anything to do with age, the only legal requirement). The law does NOT require ID for ammo purchases in NH, despite their false claims that it does. All other gun shops in NH do not require ID for ammo purchases. The day I stopped there, I had stopped at several other NH gun shops enroute to Manchester from the Claremont area. I bought ammo at several of them, including at Riley's just up the road, with no hassles. Their made up "law" was the final straw for me on dealing with them. I left the ammo on the counter after arguing with several of them about it. Snotty bunch of people, too. If you read some of the other reviews here, you can see other cases where they make up their own laws. It's bad enough with all the current restrictions on our Second Amendment rights without places like this making up additional restrictions, then blaming it on "the law". ****************************************************** UPDATE: A perfect example of the kind of business Shooters Outpost is and the attitudes I encountered can be found in the owner's response to this review. If you can't refute the message, then attack the messenger, try to claim it's a fake review, try to claim it's a fake person, try to pick apart some detail and claim it didn't happen or twist the facts as they happened. It's not a fake person or fake review - my name and address are attached to this review. Yes, it was about 3 years ago that I was forced to go to this store to pick up a Friends Of NRA rifle, and encountered their horrible attitudes. If you plan on purchasing a firearm here, and get on "delayed status", shooters out post has their own store policy-- where even if the Feds don't get back to you in three days, shooters out post will not release the firearm (even though it's the law). They will keep running it until they get an approval or after 30 days, shooters out post will refund your purchase. Also, there is 10% restock fee of return within 30 days. Had we known their store policy regarding delays, we would not have chosen shooters out post for a firearm purchase. read more

Came in today to see if I could update my review. I really want to like this place but man. They're charging about 200$ over MSRP on most guns. They want 40c a round for the cheapest 9mm, and forget about buying .223 here. I'm getting 9mm brass cases for 30c a round, and 5.56 green tip for 50c a round. This place is ridiculously overpriced and their customer service sucks, stay away. They held my dads money and made him wait 30 days to get a gun he ordered. The reason Im writing this review now is because after moving to Dallas TX, I am almost shocked that there is not a gun store at the level of Shooters Outpost here. I buy a considerable amount of firearms or accessories with in a year. Being that Shooters is the only place that is close and has a decent selection they earn a lot of my business. However this experience was terrible and the amount of customer service that was provided was horrific. Purchased an Sig 365x Romeo on 11/14. Went to set it up on 11/16 noticed the Romeo was off. I called Sig they stated to take it back to Shooters and see if they would help as it would be a while before they could get me a sight. Called Shooter's and was told to bring it in they would help me. That was false, they all looked at it and called the rep to setup a replacement sight which is what I didn't want to since it was going to be awhile. Two weeks went by no response I called Sig myself and they had no record of a replacement. Yesterday, 12/17 Matt from Shooters calls and says hey the Sig rep didn't get your email right. Which is incorrect since I watched the manager enter it. I let him know I just got the box to send back my sight last week, and this is crazy that I bought a gun over a month ago that I still cant use. "Yeah that sucks", was the response.....yup it does and crazy how bullshit your customer service is. I'll drive to Barrington next time. read more

I bought a gun at shooters this week and shot 20 rounds through it and it broke on me so I brought it back to shooters to see if they could help me with it . they said they could not do anything to fix it that I would have to take it all myself to send it to browning for a repair . They would not give me my money back for a gun that I could not shoot. I thought that The customer was always right when it comes to purchasing an item and the company should stand by the products that they sell. So after A half hour or so they finally decided to return my money. so if you were going buy a gun at shooters make sure they're going to stand by the product that they sell. read more

I would rate them 0 stars if that was an option. My parents purchased a faulty firearm from Shooters Outpost. My 71 year old father purchased a gun that was inoperable when he went to use it at the range. The technician looked at it and confirmed that the firing pin wasn't fully engaging (This was his first time attempting to shoot). We went back to the store to replace the gun and I was taken back by their condescending attitude towards my father and offered no assistance whatsoever. They didn't want to be bothered because they had already made a sale. The salesman offered to "GOOGLE" Smith and Wesson's email address. Glad they were willing to go above and beyond for my father who purchased an $1,100 gun through them. We will not be recommending your business to anyone. I don't know how you stay in business with employees acting like that. read more

I went in right before Christmas to buy a concealed carry weapon. The guy behind the counter was crazy busy but when he had a free moment, he came over and helped me and took all the time I needed. Once I decided on the gun that I wanted, it started to go through the buying process so I went around the store to look for a holster. There was a guy who works there out on the floor looking for a holster for a customer, so he was helping someone, and I asked him a question, I found him to be quite rude, he didn't have the time of day to even answer a simple question which if you can't multitask dude, maybe go flip burgers. One bad apple isn't going to deter me but it cost them a star. They processed my purchase so quickly I was literally in and out of that store in less than a half an hour right before Christmas! This is my second purchase from the store and I would go back and I highly recommend. read more

They may have the most of this and the best of that or the latest blah blah blah all in stock, but BEWARE, they will not honor the three day delay if, like so many of us have experienced, there is a delay on your handgun purchase. Their store policy seems to automatically assume your guilty and they will refuse to follow the federal policy that has been in place since the 1990's. That policy in part, allows for the transfer of firearms to the buyer after a delay of 3 business days if no disqualification is presented. In other words, Shooters can legally sell you the gun 3 days after a delay, but THEY WILL NOT. Instead Shooters policy will effectively restrict, or more accurately, infringe on your rights to gun ownership until some state bureaucrat, who seems to be under no time restrictions, decides to finally sign off on your approval potentially weeks later. The store itself is very nice with fair prices and lots of knowledgable staff, but for me, when the rubber hits the road, Shooter's Outpost has proven to be condescending and untrusting of their own customers. I for one will not shop at any store where their policies translate to guilty until proven innocent! read more

I love the selection and prices this store offers, and now that they've opened a store in Amherst, NH, it's even closer! Their Sig prices are comparable to online shops, especially considering you may have to pay shipping and a transfer fee. The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me, and if the person I'm talking to doesn't know the answer to my question, they find someone who does. The only two downsides for me are at the Hooksett store, they can get so busy that the can be overwhelmed and you may wait a while to be helped, and at the Amherst store they don't have the space to stock reloading supplies. This is a minor issue, since if you tell them what you want, they will bring it from the other store. read more

I went in today to purchase 2 15 round magazines for my p365xl, and they had them in stock and priced at $44.99. When i got to the register the girl there told me it came to $99.98! So confused i said they were $44.99 so it should be $89.98, she called the manager down who told me that due to a contract with Sig the magazines are $49.99 and there is nothing he can do. So, they screw up and price them wrong, and because of a "contract" they can't make it right!!! Piss poor customer service. If they weren't the only ones with them in stock i would have left and gone somewhere else. Won't be going back there for a while, if ever. read more

Worst Gun Shop in New England I was told that Shooters Outpost was established because the owner didn't like the way he was treated at a gun store. According to the story he wanted to run a gun store that would make people feel welcome. Unfortunately each of the three times I've tried to patron the store I'm met with contempt and frustration from the staff. i asked were I might be able to find a product and the guy at the counter looked at me like I'm a dummy for not knowing the layout of the store. when I got upstairs I asked for further direction from a follow behind that counter and he told me to grab a number rather than pointing me in the direction of the product. When he finally had time for me, he didn't even give me the satisfaction of calling my number! When I asked him for a holster that would fit my pistol he told me they don't carry such holster, yet as I perused their selection I found no less than four holsters that would accommodate my pistol. I've shopped at shooters for years and have seen them continue to grow. They now have a firearms museum and a second Amherst location closer to where I live. Whenever I want to buy a new NFA item I go through them because they have a wide selection, the ability to acquire hard to get items, and they have a great staff to help with the process. As a Mass resident, I have shopped at the Hooksett store and bought a few things, including some small parts that most shops would never carry so that I could repair an AR. The staff has always treated us well and the last time we were there Jim gave us a personal tour "behind the scene" and museum. First visit to Shooter's Outpost. I was very impressed with the sales crew, they were all very patient and knowledgeable. At many gun stores, if you are new to the gun world, or unfamiliar with a particular firearm, the sales people either can't be bothered, or will talk down to you. Definitely not the case here. I have a decent amount of experience with firearms, but still left the store having learned a lot about the pistols I was interested in. They also have a large selection of firearms and accessories, so this is definitely a one stop shop. I will definitely return! read more

I went in to purchase some reloading supplies on Monday 5/11/2020. They were out of several items I needed (not a big deal). I decided to buy a better holster. I found a nice one. The clerk allowed me to try my own weapon in it to assure it would fit correctly (after he cleared it for safety). When I got home I noticed that the holster rang up $5.00 more than the sticker price. I called them as I had just gotten home and was told by the female clerk who rang me up that this has happened before and they were told to go by what price it rings up as because it is likely just an item someone missed changing the price on. They took my information for "the owner" to call me back which has NOT happened. I know it is only $5.00 but every other store in the known free world would simply refund the money and immediately have someone change the priced on the shelf. For me this is an integrity issue. It is a false advertising issue. I will likely continue to shop there for reloading supplies but I will don't think I will make any large purchases there again. Buyer beware!!!! When buying a consignment firearm these guys will give you a slip of paper explaining that the buyer bears all the risk in the purchase. That way when they sell you a piece of junk that doesn't work and is not safe they feel justified and saying tough luck. I bought a rifle that they hadn't inspected, cleaned or test fired thinking that they might do these things and stand behind their product. They didn't and they don't. My advice: Go to a smaller gun shop where you can speak to the owner or manager and they care about their customers. Shooters Outpost seems only too happy to Lose my business. read more

I have been coming here since they opened and previously I went to the Manchester location. The store has a large selection of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. The staff has always been very helpful to me. I find the prices for firearms are on par with most places if not slightly cheaper. The ammo is usually well priced, especially shotgun shells. I buy roughly 75-100 cases of shotgun shells a year. Usually I pick up about 20 cases at a time. The staff always helps load them into my car. Between the prices for shells and the friendly staff, it is hard to want to go anywhere else. My only complaint if you will is that their sporting shotgun selection is very limited. They have your standard Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 and so on, but don't expect to see the walls stacked with over and unders. read more

I hate to be that guy but this is one of those "special circumstances" this store has a massive inventory filled with just about everything you would need when it comes to firearms. Unfortunately the staff there has mistreated me on a number of occasions which is why im going out of my way to write this review. The firs time i went in there with 2 of my friends and was embarrassed by a certain employee. he made all 3 of us get background checks because he was under the assumption my friend was making a straw purchase (which she wasnt) Second occasion was when i personally went in there by myself to purchase a handgun and this same employee told me my background check results came back as "delayed" just the next day i went to a different store and i got approved right away. and several times after that so i know this employee was lying. By the third time i went in there i started to notice more staff treating me badly. i called and had them put a glock 19 barrel on hold for me. when i went in they said they didnt carry any aftermarket barrels. i had asked for 3 different products there and they just "happened" to be out of all 3 products. they were simple products like a magazine for a FN 509 or a holster. The last time they really had crossed the line. i was in there and i took a couple pictures of the large selection of sig sauers they have. i like to take pictures of certain models of guns because it helps me decide what i want to get at what store later on, and not all stores have the same models. they actually had the NERVE to call the damn ATF on me and tell them that i was selling guns!!!!! i talked to the ATF after and they interrogated me for over a half an hour and ended up just telling me to enjoy my day. these are only a few of the situations that have occurred, i am thinking of taking this step further to either speak with the owner or possibly even file a lawsuit. Be careful at this store they are quick to label certain people! read more

Amazing staff. I think his name was Spencer (sorry if I got it wrong) it was almost closing time and he was already packed up to leave and saw me waiting at the gun counter since everyone was wrapping up deals. He went out of his way to help me and assured me that I would be happy with my Comp-tac Minotaur for the HK p30. The prices here are great! .22lr was in stock and the cheapest I had seen. The cashier recommended I buy the bulk pack of 12 GA instead of individuals on a deal I hadn't even spotted. This place is huge! First floor is all reloading supplies, ammo, and apparel. Big selection of 5.11 tactical stuff. Second floor is all guns and accessories. Beats any MA gun shop in ammo prices as far as I have observed and the Tax free part makes up for the gas I spend to get there. read more

The best gun store in new hampshire. The selection is great, the ammo supply is pretty plentiful, and they dont try to gouge you. Their markup cant be anymore than 18, give or take. They are one of the few gun stores that arent trying to capitalize on any crises. They also have some awesome memoribilia from iconic movies like scarfsce, and some historical pieces like a belt buckle gun from the nazis. Theyre all nice people there, willing to help you promptly and theyre nice people to talk to about guns, obviously. They all seem to love their job, but i cant blame them there i would love it too. This place has the most amount of guns in one building than almost anywhere in new england ive been, besides kittery trading post. They are also very responsive on their facebook, and it seems people from all around go there by the looks of the posts on there. There are also some laughs on there, since a ton of massholes go on there and complain that they drove two hours from somewhere in mass and couldnt buy a pallet of ammo...theres a reason you drove two hours, because the place is so awesome they consistently have ammo, where your normal local ffl has a bare shelf. Cant please everyone. The only complaint i have is the phone system to get someone live there is a little wacky. Youd think you were calling a wal mart. There is a department list and it gets a bit tedious. But i finally get someone on the phone by being patient and they answered my question in two seconds so that made up for it. read more

I have been to shooters outpost many times since they have opened. They are a very busy place so the service I got for being that busy I thought was good. They didn't have much of a supply of ammo but knowbody really does at this point but it is getting better. There gun prices were fair and actually cheaper then what I bought my Ruger for. Guess i should have checked there first. All in all it a nice looking store and good services and great selection of firearms. update 3/14/14 I have been back several times since my original review and have now changed my rating to 5 stars. Every staff I have encountered is friendly and knowledgably. There stock of ammo and guns is much better. Glad I have a good store like this close by. read more
