I ordered an ice cream birthday cake online. The process was super easy and so convenient. On the day of pick up, I was in and out of the store in less than two minutes. I got there the day after I was to pick up, and there was no cake ready. the counter person checked throughout the store, but no cake for me. I left and returned 3 days later, and still no cake. This counter person, was very helpful and gave me my money back, with an apology. btw, the clerk was dealing with a customer ahead of me who also ordered a cake, which was not made. If I could, I would rate this place ZERO stars. I just created this Yelp account just so I could make this review. The level of hostility and poor customer service was absolutely shocking. Right off the bat, I felt the most hostile attitude coming from a young brunette male and female with blue/brown hair working. It felt like I was inconveniencing them just by being there. When I tried to ask a simple question about the flavors, the young lady brushed me off, rolled her eyes, and mumbled a response without any willingness to help!!! SO RUDE!! I can see why this Baskin Robbins doesn't have a lot of stars. I can't give it many either. The last few times we've been in there to purchase handpacked ice cream we've come home to find it maybe 3/4 full. A few years ago it used to be so packed it almost bulged from the top. Given the price they charge now, it feels very skimpy. Will have to just skip it and go to Oliver's across the way and get gourmet ice cream there. Sad! read more

You judge my experience. I'm an adult male, latino. I walked in this baskin Robbins and i was helped by a young white male. I asked for Oreo cookie ice cream and he told me he was out. Okay, I ordered something else. Minutes later a young Spanish speaking mom with her son, approximately 10 years old, walked in. I was inside finishing my ice cream. The young boy asked for Oreo cookie ice cream. They were out. Okay he ordered something else. Minutes later, I'm still inside finishing my ice cream, a white family walked in and asked for Oreo cookie ice cream. The young white worker walked to the back and brought out a new Oreo cookie ice cream bucket. What just happened? I am not going back to 31 flavors. I was so happy to find that this Baskin Robbins is open late (later than the other nearby shops) and had clown cones!! I bought 2 of them and both were quite fresh, which is a real challenge for most ice cream shops. The staff was friendly and did a good job of managing multiple groups of customers at once. I would definitely stop here again. Ice cream was fresh tasting, scoops were big and all their advertised flavors were in stock. The only negative thing I could say is the clown cones were decorated sort of poorly. When I asked who had decorated them the girl behind the counter listed off a few different names of employees who made them and pointed out who made which. If she had been one of the decorators I would have given her some tips but she didn't claim to be. Tip: not everyone eats these with a spoon. Realize some people (me) are going to pick up the cone with their hand and turn it upside down and eat it like an ice cream cone. As such, do NOT put frosting ALL OVER the upper (pointy part) of the cone. At most put one line up the side of the cone. No more than that or we cannot hold the cone without coating our hands in frosting. :) DO put the icing at the rim of the cone where it meets the ice cream. This is super yummy. Thanks!! read more

I don't know what happened to this place I used to like to take the kids there. Always a fun place to go but not anymore. The staff has been rude and not attentive to the guests. my wife went in there the other day and the employees spent time playing with each other and talking to each other and we're rude to her. When she asked to get some service we decided it was probably just a bad day. We went back the other night, and the door was locked at eight looked on the door. It said open till 10 so I knocked and it was answered by a staff member staff member said sorry we closed early. I was given permission to close because I'm the only one here she then shut the door walked away. I have heard that there is a new ice cream place over by Oliver's, but never been there, so sorry to see you such an icon ice cream shop falling apart of the seams. read more

Went today to get a sweet treat for my child. I walked in, and a male and female employee were standing there. The female went to wash her hands while the male took my order. I do not know if he had washed his hands before we walked in, but I am really hoping he did. Regardless of covid or not, one ought to wash their hands before serving food. Any how, he started scooping, then stopped,said something to his female co-worker(she seemed new and being trained), then asked me what flavor ice cream I had wanted , and I repeated to him again which one. He kept on scooping and finally handed it over. But the thought of not knowing if he had washed his hands or not before we came in had me feeling very uneasy. Second complaint- why people feel the need to bring their dogs in a restaurant is beyond me- this woman is holding her dog, kid is petting and it's kissing her on mouth - dog fur in the air as I'm ordering cones and picking up cake. Staff says nothing!! Called owner who is difficult to understand he says dogs aren't allowed and argues that it wasnt in his store. We ordered a cake online. When I went to pick it up, the name was spelled wrong. Instead of taking my word, the clerk argued stating that's the name on the ticket. The writing on the cake and the cake, in my opinion, was sloppy. They "fixed" it but you can still see where they wiped off the extra letter. I asked if the cake would be discounted. They (including the manager, Carla) looked at me like I'm crazy. Since my sister's party has started already, I bought another cake from the freezer. Lady told me it was not good since it was labeled for the Windsor high football season of 2017. Again, no expiration date and these cards are good for 1 year. Then she said she would honor it but just one time. Except...she then told me I did not buy a single kids scoop, so I could not get a 2nd one free. I in fact had two cups with 2 Kids scoops in each cup. She told me I would have to buy it in two separate cups. Huh? I walked away as I was clearly not going to get her to understand that I was in fact buying enough kids scoops. On 9/8 and again on 9/26 my wife and I went in to purchase 2 medium cappuccino blasts with our cc (declined receipt) and was charged $8 each of those days. On 10/1 it was warm out so we decided to visit again but this time after declining our receipt for our purchase, the young lady charged us $13.38 for 2 cappuccino blasts. We wouldn't have known if we didn't check our banking account online. Some employees at the Windsor store may need some training in ethics or something. Dear Marc J, as a former employee of Baskin Robbins, we make waffle cones every single day. Wether it's in the morning or in the afternoon, we make them. A normal batch makes 30 waffle cones. Being that we make bowls, more like 22. 3 sprinkle 3 dipped 3 nuts That leaves 13 plain. But see, we make double batches sooo that makes it 26 regular waffle cones. So we have them every day. You just come in a little to late. Between 6-10 we don't make any because that's the hours of rushes. From 8:30-10 is closing time. We don't promote the sale for no reason so stop trying to complain. We do our job. As for "whipping them up right there" the waffle machine takes 15 minutes to prepare and as does the mix. We don't have it running all day. It's ran once a day. We do NOT let dogs in our store. The only dogs aloud are dogs with service vests on. Which is every store and restaurants policy. As for the cake decorator, yes. She isn't the best. But I'd also like to see you get behind the counter and whip one up. She is old, and under A LOT of stress. Working at Baskin Robbins isn't as easy as it sounds. Thank you. read more

Baskins Robbins youve earned 4 Stars. We were driving by and wanted to buy a cone for my niece for lunch. To our surprise a different looking store as s we walked in. The Coolers were moved to the rear allowing for better traffic to view into the cases. The store smelled clean. We were taking to the girl behind the counter, when we took notice of the fresh regular waffle cones in a case. The girl said they were for the double scoop cones. You get a free waffle cone. I almost fell over ! We looked at each other and said they must have a new owner. The girl said yes as a man came from the back kitchen. He greeted us with a warm smile and began a conversation about some flavors that were being discontinued. We asked if he was the owner, and he said yes. We told him about the last owners and why we stopped come to the store. He told us that prior to taking this on, the cakes were made elsewhere and no decorating was done onsite. But now it's a family run operation. His daughter is a professional cake decorator and bake everything onsite, that is evident by taking a look in the upright Coolers in back. After buying our cones, the girl told us on the back of the receipt, that there was a coupon for a bogo. With the great customer service like that, the clean store, and the new go out of your way attitude from the owner and his family, it's nice to visit this family friendly ice cream shop. You invest money in a business that is customer service oriented but you do everything in your power to piss off your customers is not a good way to grow a business unless you have a take it or leave it attitude and that is what this may really be. Just finishing using the ATM next door, I figured that it would be a nice treat to get a cup of ice cream but I was wrong. Walking in, the older gentlemen clerk with a baseball hat was talking explaining various flavors to two women. No problem I can wait, but about a minute into his conversation with them his cell phone rang... He left them half sentence and pointed to me saying he would be with me, he walked to the other side of the store to carry on his cell phone conversation. With three people waiting to spend money on expensive ice cream, his cell phone is more important than clients...hello? After waiting for about 3 minutes, I decided that I would not reward this business with my money and walked out. I wasn't mad or angry, just pissed that our business etiquette has come to the point of ignoring clients in order to conduct personal calls on a cell phone. This is not unique to this Baskin Robbins store, I have had the same awful service at other local businesses lately, sad that the pubic is accepting this kind of stuff....I won't and will continue to say so. So sad to see such a wonderful ice cream store come Crashing Down. It's almost like watching the big rig go down to 5% grade with no brakes working. I managed to catch a glimpse of the new owner I believe his name is Joe or something like that. Well Joe I've been coming here for well over 6 years and I can tell when you use cheap milk or when you use low-fat milk hell some days you have no milk or no bananas so fuck me and my milkshake right? You had an awesome staff that was very competent and now you have nothing. For whatever reason all the cakes look like crap now except for a few of them and almost feels like you have more than one cake person. The reason I'm saying this is because I ordered the cake and it look like dogshit my five year old can make a better one never mind that it was for him and his birthday.
