This location has easy access just off Whittier Blvd which is a major street. The place is small but always clean and organized, employees are very helpful, and friendly, prices are not the cheapest at this Baskin-Robbins or any other location but the ice cream sure is good. We usually have decent customer service here. We've been customers at this locations for the past several years. When we came a few months ago (before the renovations) the portions seemed a little smaller than usual. Last week, they were good serving sizes again. The customer service is usually pretty good, but there's a tall, young man that has been working there for a few months who is ALWAYS friendly and provides great customer service. I received an email giving me a free scoop for my birthday. I went in last night to use it. They gave me the cone. When I would hit "redeem", it would take me to the app. It prompted me to login which I did. But it wouldn't let me login. I showed the employees the messages I was receiving. I reset the password 3 times! And still nothing. After probably 15 minutes of trying, the employees told me they couldn't give me a free ice cream--even though that is exactly what I would have got! They watched me try and login, looked at the messages, saw the email...and still took the position they couldn't give me what was a VERY SMALL scoop of ice cream for free--which is what the birthday scoop is. After that many login attempts, I'm guessing it was an issue with the app/their system but the employees couldn't deduce that. I didn't have my wallet since I was coming in to redeem the free scoop so couldn't even pay. I left the cone and will definitely not be coming back (in the past one bought many cakes there but will never purchase one there again). Bruster's will get all my business because of this really stupid stance on a tiny scoop of ice cream. I had to send an E-mail to BR corporate that there was small brown foreign objects in the pre package Vanilla. They are delivered from the distribution plant so the cross contamination did not occur from that location. I received a reply from my email from the company along with a call from the store manager Mohammed. I returned the ice cream & received a gift card for my trouble. Unfortunately we will never know what was in the Vanille ice cream. Hopefully this will not affect someone with a food allergy, if thats what it is! read more

This Baskin Robbins location is one of a kind! They make sure that the customer, even if last minute, gets what they need! They, I can confirm, made my son's birthday memorable! My about-to-be 4-year old son asked me for an ice cream cake on Saturday, and his birthday was on Sunday! When I tried to make an online order for the cake he wanted, the website indicated to call my local Baskin Robbins, which told me it was too late to order such a cake, and I needed to come into the store and see whatever was available. Calling others in the area I was told the same thing. Not until I called this Baskin Robbins in Whittier! Upon calling and asking if they had the B-24 cake in chocolate cake and chocolate chip ice cream, the gentleman on the phone asked me when I needed it by. I told him next day, and he said if I needed it, he would do it. He got my contact info, and said he would get his cake decorator in to make sure it was done! This, folks, is EXACTLY what true customer service is! I arrived the next day (today) at 2pm to pick up the cake. He was very friendly and asked me where I got the specs of that cake from, because his store has never carried that cake! His team went above and beyond by acquiring all extra supplies necessary that they didn't carry at that store just to make sure my son got the cake he wanted! There are very few instances that I can recall where a business went to these extremes, and the Baskin Robbins in Whittier is one in a few! This location has earned my business. Even if I have to travel a little further away, I will be bringing my family and getting cakes in the future from this location! And BTW, my son loved the design and the taste of the cake! read more

I just bought 2 ice creams and both young workers there were not wearing gloves the young girl was making an ice cream cake I think (NO GLOVES) the young man that was making our ice cream had no gloves took our cash payment then proceeded to take/make the next persons order and why did we buy ice cream only because we ended up getting it in a cup rather than the cone we wanted that he touched. I've been going to different Baskin-Robbins locations for over 50 years and the Whittier location is one of the best. The staff is always friendly and gives out samples cheerfully. I've come to this particular location my entire life. My family used to have an home on the street directly behind B&R. Even after they changed owners, Ive still frequented the establishment to support them. Now I take my son here 1x a week as our tradition. As an local regular, To be treated how I was treated tonight is appalling. What deserves this review is the terrible attitude from one of the girls tonight. I phoned a Togo order at 9:50pm (10 min prior to closing) for 2 Jamoca almond fudges with hot fudge topping, & 1 icing on the cake. I arrived at 9:52pm and I caught the girl about to pour chocolate syrup on the ice cream... not hot fudge. She asks "is cold syrup ok, cause the hot fudge is put away" I said absolutely not. I saw the container of hot fudge directly behind her on the counter, and asked her if that was the fudge. She said "yes, that is the fudge". So I asked her politely to give me some of it. She turns and looks at the container, then turns back to me and says "sorry, but it's put away already, so I can't" The fudge is literally sitting on the counter, it is in no way shape or form, "put away"... How hard is it to just dip a disposable spoon In the fudge, drizzle it on my ice cream and throw the spoon away. Voila! Nothing for your lazy ass to clean . To be treated like that when you're a weekly regular, is inexcusable. She was clearly annoyed at being there and wanted to get out, which was displayed in her poor attitude. & the worst part is, She's served my son and myself several times, so she knows we're regulars... Smh. I'll be going over the hill to the hacienda heights location instead now. It might be an extra 8 min drive, but service and quality is more important than distance. I ordered a "2 scoop sundae" from this store tonight. The total was just a little over 15.00 for delivery. When I opened the bag, I thought I was given the wrong order. The "scoops" were approximate the size of a tablespoon. I would equate it to a child's scoop, but the 2 scoops together would barely equal that. Owners are RUDE. I'm 27 years old and have been coming to this location all my life and either I didn't notice it as a kid or I grew up and their much nicer to kids. Not sure- but once I was a teen service changed they ignored me and helped adults first that were standing behind me. Once I was an adult they always messed up my order by trying to over charge me! Today I walked there and was trying to get in and out because I had left my dog in my 3 year olds wagon against the glass windows/walls outside (of corse in the shade but off to the side where it was harder to see-owner saw that). Once again the family of 4 that walked in after me got helped before me and my son. I told him(the owner) what one wanted and he'd walk to where the ice cream was then say "what one again" like he forgot in two seconds... I mean I knew he had a bad memory he should remember who I am by now (I believe any owner should remember a good customer that's been coming there for like 25years...but no? He used to have conversations with my grandpa and dad all the time but treats the women differently) anyways once I went to pay I felt more in a rush because he kept making me repeat my order to him- the things he had just scooped for me!? How do you not remember 3 scoops and a chocolate cone? Not hard. He argued with me asking if I got more and I kept saying no and still gave me my grand total it seemed funny but I paid then I looked and my receipt I was right I was over charged (the prices are listed above their heads I'm not stupid) but I kept telling them I never got an additional cone and scoop and he kept telling me I was wrong I got so mad- I'm pointing at my ice cream and looking at my receipt and said "how can you tell me I'm wrong when I'm showing you" then I looked like the crazy customer getting embarrassed because I'm not going to have someone tell me to my face that I'm wrong and take my money I had to involve the employee and she argued with him he STILL didn't budge he finally came around and walked up to my son to really make sure he has one child scoop and one cone and looked at my ice cream to make sure we had nothing else (because he wouldn't look before but the employee could see from a distance) Female employee was super nice and handled it well and apologized, when it wasn't her mistake. Male owner finally came back around with $4 and didn't even apologize. Sad because it seems my experiences just keep getting worse and worse. I've been taking my little kids here for YEARS. They absolutely love coming to this Baskin Robbins. They make me drive the extra distance to go to this one over the one by our house! The owners are very friendly and kind. My 8 year old can be particularly persistent when it comes to sampling flavors, but the employees always give him a sample with a smile. I worked here at Baskin Robbins back in 1984, my very first job and I guarantee you our customer service was much better then today. Employee's were obviously not happy with their job and it transitioned into how they treated us today . After standing in line for 5 minutes waiting patiently, the female employee was going to assist another group of customers that had just walked in. If it wasn't for me giving her the ole "No you didn't look" we would still be waiting . Perhaps the owners of this Baskin Robbins should revert back to 1984 for lessons in real customer service, employees enjoying working and wearing some cool uniforms.
