Chocolate for me has always been about finding that line of "not too sweet" and finding that hint of bitterness to get you down from that sugary high. I feel that this place finds that balance well. Ambiance: The place is dated, borderline vintage. I think they should lean into it, and I think they do. Service: Professional, quick, and what you want when buying dessert. I went to this Baskin Robbins location to take my family for a special treat as I have been doing for many years. Of course, the ice cream was as good as it always has been. But, the server was surprisingly unhelpful. Maybe it's because she thought I was being unreasonable or maybe this was an anomaly? But I thought it was rude enough share my story with others. We were getting our order to go. One of the several items I asked for was a kid's scoop on a cone--but because we would be traveling home, I asked for the scoop in a cup and the cone on the side. For some reason, the server did not want to give me a lid for the cup. It was only after politely asking a few times that she reluctantly gave me a lid. The saddest thing was that when I got home (only about 5 minutes later), I found that the scoop of ice cream was so small that it didn't even stick out over the top of the cone. My little one literally had to eat the cone to get to any of the ice cream. So much for ice cream as a special treat. We've been going back to our favorite froyo place since then. read more
