I've always had my orders "to-go", and what's nice is that when I get home, the ice cream still maintains its consistency as if I just picked it up a minute ago; be sure to ask to cover it if you have a takeout as well. Inside everything is clean, and the staff here is always busy; never had any issue with them. I've noticed when I come here that the lines are often long, outside-of-the-store long, but usually it moves pretty decent. However, if you come near closing time, sometimes there's only 1 person taking and fulfilling orders while everyone else is cleaning or performing other closing-procedure operations, so keep that in mind. There is some seating outside of the shop, but not much; no seating inside. Even with my longest waits, I always leave with a smile on my face.

I like texture in my ice cream and Handel's is really great at mixing the right ingredients/toppings in their ice cream. I recently got a Mud Pie and the brownie was made just right. Not too soggy, didn't have a weird taste to it. It was cold but still had a good chew to it. Parking is always easy to find although on busier nights, you'll have to park quite far and wait in a longer queue. I've only been here once during the day and there isn't much shade provided for the seated area. Honestly there isn't much seating in general which I can understand due to the way the location is. It would be ideal to improve the seating, if possible. Two tables with no umbrella/shade isn't appealing during hot summer days and you're stuck eating ice cream in the car.

Nowadays, no matter where you go customer service seems lacking. It's refreshing to see somebody like Faith that cares about customer service!! I would have walked away if Faith didn't offer to make me some unsalted pretzels. But because of her, not only I stayed but are willing to come back. Their toast is loaded, beautifully presented, and actually looks worth the money. I don't know what kind of chocolate Huntington Beach uses, but it tastes much better too. Huntington Beach clearly puts more effort into its toast. Lake Forest needs to improve because customers shouldn't receive a completely different product depending on which location they visit.
