I bought an ice cream cake here this morning and specifically asked the employee if it had mint flavor. I was told it did not. When we got home, we realized the cake actually had mint ice cream inside, and the kids didn't like it at all. I went back to the store to explain the situation, but they refused to exchange it or take it back and said it wasn't their problem. The young female employee who helped me was also very rude and unprofessional during the conversation. Good customer service means being honest with customers and handling mistakes respectfully. First off, unlike other Yelpers, I have never had anything but the best customer service here. Yes, the staff is generally young, but that is to be expected at a "fast food" type place. Also love the fact that is the only BR in the area that has a drive through. So, why only two stars? We have been coming here for over 3 years. However, recently the owner/manager has decided to start charging extra for sugar cones. Yes, it may only be an additional $0.26, but I have never had to pay an upcharge before. Plus, that is the price if I buy just a sugar cone with nothing on it, so why the additional charge? If I am already paying $4.99 for an ice cream cone, the only upcharge should be if I go to a waffle cone or something larger. This additional charge is purely a money grab and makes no sense whatsoever. read more

We actually went to the store today since we were around that area. We usually use Doordash, but today we went inside. Baskin-Robbins and Dunking Donuts are sharing this location, so when you go inside, you see both together. Staff seemed nice, cashier was friendly. Terrible service! I ordered online and came in to pick it up. When I walked in none of the four employees acknowledge me. Two of them were scooping ice cream, and two others were having a personal conversation. They could've at least looked up and said, "Hi I will be with me in just a minute." Supporting BR because it's free of (largely) numbered dye. We get our birthday cakes here year after year and we always come when they do well at karate since it's in the same lot. It has a Dunkin Donuts inside too. Also dye free (except for some seasonal items and sprinkles). The only caveat is that if you get cup of half and half (two flavors) they will count it as 2 scoops when you get literally half scoop of each flavor. It comes out to a ball of two flavors the size of one scoop, but you pay for two scoops. The bubble gum flavor has bubble gum pieces. Gross. Just a heads up. The employees are nice and offer samples pretty freely. If you want half and half, just get the two scoops and get your $ worth. This is why it is getting 3 stars. The response from the snarky girl when I asked why we was charged for two scoops was "bc that's what we do, we don't do half and half, we charge it as a kids double scoop." read more

Service was quick for me but I did see some slight delay for other customers since the two workers, aside from handling both sides of the store, were also handling a drive-thru window. The woman who served me was nice but frantic as it was quite busy. I got two scoops in a cup. One scoop of Reece's peanut butter cup and one of jamoca. Both were good; nothing more, nothing less. So we won't be coming here again. This is the second time they've closed early while we were stuck in the drive through line. We literally can't leave because there's cars being served in front of us. We were in line for at least 10 minutes. It was 15 min before closing according to their own message when we reached the order window and they won't let us order. This is 2 hours prior to their posted closing time. So we are stuck in the car with a crying baby and no ice cream in our future. There's at least 5 cars behind us who are stuck as well. Way to throw away money. This place is awful. The staff needs to be retrained. I have visited this location twice. The employees have absolutely no interest in working here and does not follow the basic hygiene when preparing your order. I gave it a second chance and exactly the same experience. Issue: 1) making sure to carefully place donuts in the box 2) making sure they use a tissue- clean one when placing donuts 3) use a clean box not a one on the counter with stains and dirt 4) pay attention to the customer; focus on the customer not your friends at work. 5) assign people for dunkin and other for baskin. I knew better. This particular location has a horrible reputation for indifferent attitudes by their mostly young-years old staff. And sure enough, another unpleasant encounter. On this particular cloudy cold winter's afternoon I decided to do the drive-thru and order a hot fudge sundae with 3 scoops of ice cream and extra fudge. To the young man who took my order I emphasized EXTRA FUDGE. I pulled up to the window to pay, even providing a tip thanking him in advance for giving me extra fudge. He politely thanked me. When he handed me my purchase which was covered with a plastic top I trusted that they had given me the order I asked for and that I tipped them for. After driving away and then later parking to sit in my car to enjoy my sundae, when I removed the plastic cover I discovered that, not only did they not give me extra fudge, there was barely a trace of hot fudge at all. Needless to say, I was PISSED OFF. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I knew better. Shame on me for ignoring my intuition and going here anyway. I will never do that again! The Baskin Robbins location on El Toro is so much better with customer service than this Foothill Ranch location. read more

This is seriously the worst Baskin Robbins ever!! I don't know why we come back but I feel like kicking myself every-time we do since is always ends horribly. We will order a drink and ask to make sure there is no cinnamon since I am allergic. We would tell them at least three times with their acknowledgement and I would either get the drink completely covered in cinnamon or you can see and smell where they scooped the cinnamon out after already placing on the drink. (I am not sure if they know how allergies work). Other times blenders aren't working or the store closes 45 minutes (not a holiday) early with no sign. The person who took my order was more distracted with the workers, I hear conversation through the speaker phone. Mind you they took my payment, ran it for a penny and ask to have it ran again.
