The kids and I got a couple of bowls here. They do allow you to try them which is nice. It's nothing fancy ambiance wise or anything, I guess I just think it'd be fun if we had somewhere in Charleston that had a vintage ice cream shop vibe. The service was good, my daughter tried her ice cream, probably made a rush decision and after a few bites changed her mind and they let her switch, which was very kind. The only big downside is the girl who was scooping samples had long hair and it wasn't tied back and when she scooped, her hair was literally touching the back row of ice creams... grossed me out a bit because no one wants hair in their ice cream. But, we were committed at that point, and let's be honest, my kids have probably eaten worse. LOL. And thankfully they picked ones on the front row, so hopefully no hair had been in them. read more

My youngest daughter and I met up with a family member here on a weekday around 11 am. We were the only customers inside the store but the drive thru stayed pretty busy. My daughter ordered one of their sea creature specials. I got two scoops- one of mint chocolate chip and the other jamoca almond fudge. They scoop up your ice cream right in front of you and it's very easy to order. Paying was easy. The restaurant was clean. Will definitely be back. read more

We went there because my husband got a coupon for a free cone for his birthday. I think we'll go back the next time we get this kind of coupon, but otherwise, probably not. First, it's a chain ice cream place, so it's like all the other BRs out there when it comes to food. So... I really won't review the quality of the food and taste, you either like BR or ya don't ;). The worker had a really hard time taking our coupon, and my husband thought the soft serve was exceptionally sweet (it was not cheap either, you can get soft serve from a fast food restaurant for a lot cheaper that tastes about the same). He just had a regular cone of soft serve, so no frills and nothing complicated. Everyone on the email list gets a coupon for a free cone on his or her birthday. It shouldn't be as complicated, or either the workers should know how to do it. I got a small snickers soft serve parfait. Obviously I didn't want to watch him eat his ice cream and not have any, right? We were there at probably 2 PM and not all the toppings were out. So, the worker put the caramel in the cup, then dispensed the soft serve, then had to get out the Snickers pieces toppings... all while my ice cream was melting! I would understand the toppings not being out if we were some of the first customers of the day, but the ice cream shop had been open for 2.5 hours already! There was nothing special about my parfait. It was good, but it's ice cream and even when it's not the best, it's still pretty good. Been there several times. Ice cream always meets standards. Got a hankering for pralines and cream and not able to get out much anymore so decided to try delivery. 2 pre-packed quarts $13.74 not bad but $5.72 delivery fee AND a $5.32 service fee??? If I walk in , they perform "service" included. So it seems the owner really doesn't want to participate in delivery. No reasonable person would pay a grand total with tax and tip of $31.42 for 2 quarts of ice cream delivered. It is a chain, and I have been a patron of the chain most of my life. The best part is all the new flavors that rotate. I think the store is located at a prime corner of a busy intersection and gets a good amount of traffic. However, I wish the owners/workers took a bit more pride in cleanliness. I avoided a review the past 4 times I visited, thinking maybe I just came after a busy rush. The seats have been sticky every time. There are ice cream stains on the wall behind the tables that have not been washed in over a month. I have sadly never sat at a clean table at this location, the floor has not looked freshly swept, and even the ceiling tiles have a few water marks that would not be difficult to occasionally switch out. There is an A rating on the door but as a frequent customer, clean facilities are something I have not noticed. read more

I always liked coming here as a kid. I still occasionally do even though my taste buds have grown up. I love that they have seasonal flavors. They had a trick or treat flavor tonight ;) though that's not what I got. I ended up picking a daiquiri sorbet. It was awesome! Citrusy, refreshing, and kind of creamy. I didn't really taste rum but it did taste like a frozen cocktail by the beach. I got a bite of my boyfriend's Reeses Peanut Butter Cup ive cream which was good too even though im not a fan of peanut butter. It's a great place to stop in with the kids or after a dinner date. The ice cream was delectable. Wish I could say the same for the employees. Our server must have had a hot date because she was closing up shop early. And I quote "I hate to ask you to leave, but we're closing in five minutes." Kicked out. Five minutes before closing time. Why can't I enjoy my tasty treat in the comfort of the bubble gum pink chairs? We had to take our ice cream out to the car and finish it there while watching the above mentioned employee go in and out of the store, taking out the trash. Furthermore, I do not appreciate her insincerity as I do not believe she hated to ask us to leave. I firmly believe that she thoroughly enjoyed watching us leave as she had a smirk on her face. So not only is she rude, but she is also a liar. Please plan on ordering your ice cream at least one hour before closing time to avoid such abusive and dishonest behavior. Just came from B&R. Checked website before we left home and it said they closed on Saturdays at 10:00 pm. We pulled into drive up line at 9:30 behind 5 other cars and waited. After 15 minutes of waiting, it was our turn. The previous 4 cars had pulled up to the window and then pulled away quickly. I thought that was odd. As I pulled up, the girl at the window said they were closed and turned us away! She had turned away all 5 cars. I was stunned. I looked at my watch and saw it was 9:41. Two more cars pulled up behind me as I pulled away. Really? You let me sit in line for ten minutes and then refused to serve us? What kind of customer service is that? When you're selling ice cream you have a limited season so you need to sell all you can, when you can. It takes a LOT of ice cream cones to pay rent and overhead so what a terrible business decision as well as a poor customer experience. Sorry B&R but you list our business for good. My boyfriend and I attempted to get some ice cream this evening, Wednesday, a little after 8pm. He comes all the time and I was excited because I used to always go to a Baskin Robbins back home as a child, but hadn't been in years. We pulled up in the drive through; there wasn't anybody else in the drive through and didn't seem to be any other customers at the counter inside. My boyfriend ordered first and asked if there was a list of flavors. We were rudely told no. I inquired about the flavors; I didn't need super specifics as I know there are often many flavors with many components, just an idea. We were once again rudely told that if we wanted to know about the flavors we needed to come inside and see for ourselves. I told the girl I did not need any ice cream and my boyfriend went to pay, presenting his military I.D., as he is a frequent customer and has always received a military discount. Once again, he was met with a rude attitude telling him they do not offer a military discount. He asked when their policy had changed because he had just visited that same store a few days ago and received a military discount. We left after being met with a continued rude attitude. It is very sad that terrible customer service ruined our experience with Baskin Robbins this evening. Neither of us will be back; we went to Marble Slab across the road where we were treated kindly and greeted with a smile. A positive attitude would have made the difference in our experience tonight, regardless of policies. Customer service should be at the forefront of any business because without happy customers, there is no business. read more
