The spring rolls were really good. I had the waitress surprise me and she brought out the Pad Kee Mow with Beef. It was definitely interesting. I love rice noodles but to be honest, the dish smelt like urine. I couldn't finish it because of this. I will definitely give this place another chance because it all depends of what you order and what ingredients are used. The service was good. The thai tea was good. I will be back...to probably get curry next time!

The coconut boba was probably the best boba I've ever had! I like how they serve the papaya salad with noodles and lettuce to do wraps! It was good. Their Thai spicy is definitely Thai spicy! Sometimes I find places don't make it super spicy. My husband had pho and it was delicious too!

I am a big time pho lover! This is one of my fav spots to go! My hubby always gets some kind of rice or noodle dish too and loves it!

These days, it seems like the American market for Thai restaurants is over saturated. Whether you're in New York City or a Main Street in Wyoming, there will always be a McDonald's, a Starbucks, and some sort of Thai restaurant. Understandable, though, considering Thai is a delicious cuisine, and more importantly, it is extremely difficult to make badly. That's why, when there is a Thai restaurant that somehow isn't good, it's automatically a massive disappointment. Basil, fortunately, doesn't bare that fate. This restaurant deep in the small beach town of Long Beach, MS, is great for a couple reasons. For one, the food was superb. I ordered the Pad Thai Beef, a standard I tend to order to compare my Thai restaurants, and I found this dish extremely satisfying. The portions were large (which I prefer) and the noodles had just the right amount of sauce on them that made me take down every bit with no hesitation. The service was also excellent, with the waiter being kind and the food coming out extremely quickly. My only main issue with the restaurant was the interior ambience. It was very bright and it simply seemed to me they took a Thai restaurant and placed it inside what used to a Fro-Yo shop. If the interior design seemed a bit more authentic and welcoming, this would be a five-star establishment, for everything else was stellar. Despite the amount of Thai restaurants popping up around the country, the cuisine really never does get old, and when you do it right like Basil, you do it really right.

We would love to try this place but my son has a peanut allergy. Is there a way to order without peanuts? Is it a strong chance of cross-contamination?

There is a way to order without peanuts. But if your son is highly allergic to peanuts I honestly would not suggest other food on our menu coz some of them we handle peanuts and cook with peanuts. Thanks you

This is a unique and interesting restaurant. As we pulled up. I noticed a lot of cars in the front…read more Which is understandable. It was during lunch time. Plenty of parking. Quite easy to find. We luck out, as lunch time rush was ending. Several tables opened up and we had choices on where to sit. You seat yourself and as soon as you sit down. We opted for a booth instead of a table. Table looks great and padding on bottom and with hard wood backing. Booth has but more cushion. Either both bottom and back padding. Plenty of tables. In the main lobby or in next room. They have a large flat screen TV that is wall mounted in the corner. The lovely waitress will be happy to come by and greet you. She handed us the menu and asked if we have any questions about it. She made a few recommendations and took our drinks order. Start out with a sweet tea and Thai tea. It was lunch time and was not very hungry but wanted to get something to hold us over till later that evening. And suggested that we try some soup/pho. She said it will fill you up and leave satisfied. Just do not do the super side bowl. You will not be able to finish it. Started out with the Pho Dac Biet (Pho dac biet is a Vietnamese translation for all kinds of special beef variations such as raw sliced steak, beef tripe, brisket, tendons, and Vietnamese meatballs) and rounded out with the Pho Tom (Pho tom is a delightful Vietnamese dish that perfectly combines succulent shrimp, tender rice noodles, and a rich, aromatic broth.) she asked if we would love to have fresh chili? And the other condiments are already on the table for your convenience. She quickly came back with fresh chili sauce and the fresh vegetables. She mentioned that soup will be out shortly. She quickly brought the soups. The aroma of the broth was amazing! Came out good. I noticed that my broth could use a little bit more than the usual sauce to enhance the flavor. However, I made the mistake of adding a bit too much chili sauce. It ended up being too spicy. It was still good. Just over did it a bit. It was good. It was just the right amount. Left full but satisfied. When you are done. Feel free to come to the register at the main lobby to pay. She mentioned that if you wish to save few dollars. She suggested that you pay cash instead of card to avoid the hassle of credit card fee to run it. No Wi-Fi I can see and feel free to reach out if they offer military discount.

It was absolutely delicious- all the food was freshly cooked and came out piping hot. The workers there were incredibly nice- two very sweet ladies. Every single dish was tasty and full of flavor. First, I am satisfied with the actual business and people there. This rating is purely reflective…read moremostly on the food. The Pho noodle soups are OK / Good. But I find that the meat, particularly the brisket, is full of fat. It would be better if they would evaluate the cuts of meat they are using to ensure they are not giving 50% of the slices as just fat strand pieces. About half of the slices in my soup were purely fat. I am not talking about normal brisket fat; the problem is with the fat content in each slice. I should have more brisket to chew than fat. Pieces that are pure fat are not good. And I could argue that it is brisket when the meat part is not there at all. Spring rolls were OK - but there are better ones out there at other Pho restaurants. Portion size: the soup portion and its components are enough for a sitting. Portion size on meat leaves something to be desired though. I recommend having a bit more meat in the portion. Freshness: After having been to many Pho restaurants, I will have to say food freshness seems to be OK, but not outstanding. I will reserve further comment because I have not been here consistently to give a valid opinion. Value: See also- portion size. Value reflects overpriced selections. Comparisons to other Pho restaurants has Pho Grace slightly overpriced. I won't return frequently solely due to value. Staff were fine - no complaints at all. Restaurant is clean with a nice atmosphere, particularly for lunch. Overall: Pho Grace has been good / great over the years. Value deducted 1 star. Fatty meat deducted 1 star. OK soup deducted 1 star. It was good, but not great. For future visits with better experiences, I will update the review, and should be able to add more stars. Pho Grace is a good restaurant and Hammond is better with them. I do recommend trying it.

Hands down it's the absolute BEST king cake I've ever tasted and trust me, I've tasted dozens. So, when I found out they were going to have mini king cakes for 4th of July, I had to get one. Made it there about 7:30 am, line was wrapped. By the time they opened at 8, they had already given out all available tickets. These are high demand. This time, the crawfish pies were just coming out so I tried one of those. The dough was a bit sweet but flaky. Inside.. was interesting. There was crawfish of course and there was a vegetable, I can't make out which one. The pie was a different flavor than I'm used to. Sweet and Savory and I tasted like there was a bit of Italian dressing or something in it. I'll try a meat one next time.
