The spring rolls were really good. I had the waitress surprise me and she brought out the Pad Kee Mow with Beef. It was definitely interesting. I love rice noodles but to be honest, the dish smelt like urine. I couldn't finish it because of this. I will definitely give this place another chance because it all depends of what you order and what ingredients are used. The service was good. The thai tea was good. I will be back...to probably get curry next time!

The coconut boba was probably the best boba I've ever had! I like how they serve the papaya salad with noodles and lettuce to do wraps! It was good. Their Thai spicy is definitely Thai spicy! Sometimes I find places don't make it super spicy. My husband had pho and it was delicious too!

I am a big time pho lover! This is one of my fav spots to go! My hubby always gets some kind of rice or noodle dish too and loves it!

I'm a big fan when it come to pho and I always go to this place since I'm new in town and I moved here from Nola. This is pretty close to my new place but today I ordered combination pho with an extra tendon, as you can see in the picture this would be a regular amount of what you get if you order combination in Nola but I'm shock to fine out this is what I paid for an extra $3 dollars and I'm myself sous chef and this is ridiculously expensive for just another two pieces of beef fat!

These days, it seems like the American market for Thai restaurants is over saturated. Whether you're in New York City or a Main Street in Wyoming, there will always be a McDonald's, a Starbucks, and some sort of Thai restaurant. Understandable, though, considering Thai is a delicious cuisine, and more importantly, it is extremely difficult to make badly. That's why, when there is a Thai restaurant that somehow isn't good, it's automatically a massive disappointment. Basil, fortunately, doesn't bare that fate. This restaurant deep in the small beach town of Long Beach, MS, is great for a couple reasons. For one, the food was superb. I ordered the Pad Thai Beef, a standard I tend to order to compare my Thai restaurants, and I found this dish extremely satisfying. The portions were large (which I prefer) and the noodles had just the right amount of sauce on them that made me take down every bit with no hesitation. The service was also excellent, with the waiter being kind and the food coming out extremely quickly. My only main issue with the restaurant was the interior ambience. It was very bright and it simply seemed to me they took a Thai restaurant and placed it inside what used to a Fro-Yo shop. If the interior design seemed a bit more authentic and welcoming, this would be a five-star establishment, for everything else was stellar. Despite the amount of Thai restaurants popping up around the country, the cuisine really never does get old, and when you do it right like Basil, you do it really right.

It looked delicious but, both the pork chop and shrimp were undercooked.

We would love to try this place but my son has a peanut allergy. Is there a way to order without peanuts? Is it a strong chance of cross-contamination?

There is a way to order without peanuts. But if your son is highly allergic to peanuts I honestly would not suggest other food on our menu coz some of them we handle peanuts and cook with peanuts. Thanks you

The food was great! The sauce on the beef special was slightly sweet and perfect for the dish. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that it took 15 minutes after being seated before they came by to take our order. When we were finished I obviously needed a to-go container, but no one came to our table to see if we needed anything. Finally went to the register and requested one and paid the bill.

It is not really hidden away but not off the main road tho. You may miss it if you are not looking for it. You may notice in the pictures I posted; it looks like not many people eat here. But you are mistaken. Even though not many people eat in the restaurant. They very busy with to go orders. At one point? They had a small line for just ordering and picking up. They offer many wonderful Vietnamese/Chinese cuisine dishes. Mainly Vietnamese tho. You find they offer many different types of dishes that other restaurants don't offer. Forgive me, I am no expert or grew up with this type of cuisine. From my experiences with them. I will say the flavor is very good. The service was excellent. I forgot to get his name but he knows the menu by heart. So good he recommended several different things and did not write anything down. I was going to get the fried whole fish ( pompano); he said it would take a while to cook (about 20 minutes) but he said it was worth it. We decided not to get it since it would take a while. So we opted for the green muscles instead. All the dishes we ordered came out fast. Especially when we changed our order last minute. The dishes we ordered were all excellent. Very delicious. The appetizer bi cuon (fresh spring rolls) we ordered was very tasty. Sad it was only just two. However, very delicious and right size and with that super addictive peanut flavor sauce. With that particular fresh spring roll. The wrap is a bit chewy and shedded pork can get a bit out of hand. As for the main course, we ordered the Mi Xao Thap Cam ( crispy noodle (bird nest) combination) and the Chem Chep Xao Gurng Hanh ( green muscles with ginger and green onions ) with a small side of jasmine rice. All were delicious. The sauce can be a bit salty but the rice definitely cuts down on saltiness. Do not be discouraged by this. Just giving you a heads up and hack about it. All of them are very good and well worth it. We wash it down with glass of Thai tea and chrysanthemum tea. The seating area is good and can accommodate few large groups. The middle tables look comfortable and can handle four to eight people. Or more depending upon it if connect multiple tables together. As you reference the photos. Table seating has hard wood seats. They are comfortable but no padding. We sat on the outside area and sat in a booth. It was no couch but comfortable. They have large flat screen TV hanging on the wall. No close captions. No Wi-Fi provided or offer military or first responders discount. They do accept cards. Of course, cash is king. Nice place to stop in if you are in the area and want something different and great food with excellent service. Few dishes you cannot find on the coast so far.

Quite easy to find. We luck out, as lunch time rush was ending. Several tables opened up and we had choices on where to sit. You seat yourself and as soon as you sit down. We opted for a booth instead of a table. Table looks great and padding on bottom and with hard wood backing. Booth has but more cushion. Either both bottom and back padding. Plenty of tables. In the main lobby or in next room. They have a large flat screen TV that is wall mounted in the corner. The lovely waitress will be happy to come by and greet you. She handed us the menu and asked if we have any questions about it. She made a few recommendations and took our drinks order. Start out with a sweet tea and Thai tea. It was lunch time and was not very hungry but wanted to get something to hold us over till later that evening. And suggested that we try some soup/pho. She said it will fill you up and leave satisfied. Just do not do the super side bowl. You will not be able to finish it. Started out with the Pho Dac Biet (Pho dac biet is a Vietnamese translation for all kinds of special beef variations such as raw sliced steak, beef tripe, brisket, tendons, and Vietnamese meatballs) and rounded out with the Pho Tom (Pho tom is a delightful Vietnamese dish that perfectly combines succulent shrimp, tender rice noodles, and a rich, aromatic broth.) she asked if we would love to have fresh chili? And the other condiments are already on the table for your convenience. She quickly came back with fresh chili sauce and the fresh vegetables. She mentioned that soup will be out shortly. She quickly brought the soups. The aroma of the broth was amazing! Came out good. I noticed that my broth could use a little bit more than the usual sauce to enhance the flavor. However, I made the mistake of adding a bit too much chili sauce. It ended up being too spicy. It was still good. Just over did it a bit. It was good. It was just the right amount. Left full but satisfied. When you are done. Feel free to come to the register at the main lobby to pay. She mentioned that if you wish to save few dollars. She suggested that you pay cash instead of card to avoid the hassle of credit card fee to run it. No Wi-Fi I can see and feel free to reach out if they offer military discount.
