The first time I came to this dealership I came specifically because of positive reviews of salesmen Glenn Colton. I was not disappointed, I can assure you Glenn will surpass your expectations. That day I was shopping for my girlfriend. We were able to leave the same day with a Jeep Cherokee. (same day delivery on the Wrangler as well) . I came back to buy my personal vehicle because of how flawless the first experience was. Sales Manager Alyssa Witkowski is also very passionate about her position and was able to work with me through the financial portion of the deal and was a pleasure to sit with. Overall The experience at Transitowne West Seneca will be better than other dealerships in our area. I know from experience as I have purchased 5 cars in the last decade and my two most pleasant purchases have been through this dealership. Some extra advice: 1. Do not use just one website for reviews certain sites people only post to when an odd ball situation occurs and they need some where to vent (we all do it). 2. Come prepared- No matter what dealership you go to prepare the best you can to know what others have paid and/or what rebates you qualify for. Know your credit score and debt to income ratio. Be weary of dealership pre-configured finance calculators they will often fill in a down payment to make the payment appear cheaper. Use your own finance calculator that will calculate tax and interest rate.

Buyer Beware - My Sister's Experience at Transit Town (Elma)…read more Sharing this so others don't go through the same thing. My 21-year-old sister had her car towed there because it wouldn't shut off and was stuck in park. After sitting there for a WEEK, they told her it needed a battery... and charged her $550. Problem is--that wasn't the issue. When they were questioned about it, the dealer hung up on my dad twice. They then said it needed more diagnostics (more $$$) and wouldn't release the car unless she paid. No return call from management either. We had it towed to another mechanic... and within ONE MINUTE they found the real problem: A bottle cap stuck in the transmission. Fixed immediately. No charge. There are honest mechanics out there--but this was not one of them. Just a heads up so no one else gets burned.

Before reading this review, please realize that I am an Elite Yelper with over 600 reviews…read more Please believe what I say. Now, onto Delacy Ford. I've had a myriad of problems with my vehicle -all of which were not correctly rectified by the service department. From Control arms to sensors they never knew what they were doing. They ordered things incorrectly, parts got lost, incorrect parts ordered, delay, delay, delay, after delay. Glenroy in the service department really doesn't understand what's going on. I spoke with the owner Peter Delacy many times and though he tried his best -his dealership is run by incompetence. When I finally got my car back, they did not charge me, which was wonderful. However, not three hours after I drove off the lot, my AC condenser broke. Coincidence - I think not. The AC condenser was not the problem. I brought the car in for. I took it to my AC guy- he said that it looked like my AC condenser was tampered with. Now I don't know whether the service department here at this dealership did that- because they ate so much money fixing my vehicle?? You know I can't tell. But I will never set foot in that dealership again and I don't think you should either. Be aware, and BEWARE.

One star for the sake of posting a review. This place has…read morethe absolute and total worst customer service I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. We (er my daughter with me as the co-signer) purchased a used Nissan Juke from this location, first dealing with a super pushy salesperson. In such a hurry to get the sale by the end of the day, he wanted to write down my daughter's debit card number, so he could charge her down-payment the next day, and then give her a receipt when she came back, instead of having us come back when the cashier would be open and we would be able to complete the down-payment, get a receipt, and leave with a vehicle. Who does something like that? He got really offended when I stepped in and told her not to give it to him because there would be no safeguard in place for her money. Prior to deciding on a car, he continuously brought us around to see cars well above the price point or max miles we requested; we searched the website ourselves from the parking lot, and found a couple that my daughter could afford and essentially did it all by ourselves. This salesperson made us both so uncomfortable that I had to ask to work with someone else to finalize the deal. This was my young adult daughter's first car buying experience, and she really wanted this cute little car, but what a disappointment. After haggling with finance we also purchased an extended bumper to bumper warranty with $100 deductible for repairs, and were assured a dozen times that she could bring it back to be worked on if needed, and bring it in for the regular maintenance, etc. Fast forward a couple of months, the car is really acting up. My daughter brings it to Joe Basil, they "can't find" a problem, fix nothing, and send her away -$100. She brings it back in a week, describes the same issues, they can't find a problem and suggest she take it to a Nissan dealer -$100. The car starts stalling out as she's driving the very next day, she brings it in to service and calls me on the phone in tears while a Basil employee, "Jake" is audibly yelling at her in the background. I can hear him berating her, "you're going to pay $100 for every single issue, it's stalling, that's $100, it's making a noise, that's $100... we're a Chevy dealer, we don't work on Nissan! We are going to send it to Nissan and it's going to be at least a week!" I could tell he was really trying to scare her off. When I told her to ask why we were told we could bring it there for service if they don't service this type of car, his exact words were "they'll tell you anything to make a sale!" She told him she can't drive it home because it stalls, so send it where you have to send it. Ultimately, she left and came home extremely upset, with a loaner car that Jake also insisted wouldn't be covered by her warranty (it was.) We went back together the next day to get some personal items out of her car, at which time I got to meet Jake in person and repay some of the treatment I listened to him give my daughter the previous day. He told me he never yelled at her, and my head exploded. I was on the phone listening in real time while he yelled at her, and then he implies she's a liar too?! Oh, I think the eff not. Jake slinked away to bring the car around to us, and it wouldn't even start for him. The following day he called my daughter personally to apologize. I assumed someone slapped his hand after the entire place heard me going off about him yelling at my kid and the poor customer service we receive from this place. This car was actually broken more than it wasn't, and the place we bought it from was simply no help. This relationship just couldn't work. Needless to say, we recently traded in the piece of junk Nissan with a different dealer, and will never, EVER do business with Joe Basil again. We thought we were free of them, but now we have a problem regarding the extended warranty we purchased from them. We paid for the entire warranty, but didn't keep the car for the entire coverage period. We have either 4 years of warranty left to transfer to her new car, or should receive a refund for the 4 remaining years of coverage. The fine print briefly outlines the options, but Smart Auto Care (the warranty company) explained that they are the third party, and that we need to arrange transfer/ refund through- you guessed it, Joe Basil Chevrolet via the finance department. My daughter and both I have been calling, leaving voice messages, and sending emails for over a week, it's seemingly wasted effort. Switchboard is friendly, they transfer us right to the finance department, but then no one there answers or returns calls. We got one email response (from Jake, of all people) that the finance dept was closed, but he would forward the message to them, that was days ago, no one ever got back to us. Zero stars, don't bother.
