1 hour and 15 minutes for an oil change. 3 recalls on a Kia Seltos that was less than 4 years old. You scammed me.​

They damaged my vehicle when I brought it in for an oil change and tried to steal my brand new wheel lock key. I had to drive back to get the key after I discovered it missing from the cup holder I'd left it in. Since they didn't rotate the tires, there was no need to remove the key. They also pried one of my cargo hooks out of the trunk area and have refused to fix it or compensate me for the damage. I filed a BBB complaint and the Service Center manager Melissa, who has never even returned my call, denied everything- even removing the wheel lock key. Kia tells me they have no jurisdiction over this dealership. I had previously purchased a car through them, but never again will they get my business!!! Also the GM Kyle who said he would pay for the part and give me employee pricing on the repair never followed through, although he did send me a weird email after I wrote this review. read more

I was in a rear end collision (not that bad!) and took my car to transitowne Kia collision shop after they asked me to! I take my car there for the regular services like an oil change. a month later and my car was still with them. they told 3 times that it would be ready and every time ... something new popped up!!!! my rental is now out of my pocket bc the insurance policy only allows 30 days. FINALLY!!! my car was ready after 34 days I took an Uber after from enterprise to go pick up my car... the driver started asking why I didn't use the shuttle and why I didn't get a loaner? ...what?! Why didn't any one offer me that?! I paid $50 for my ride and had to leave work early bc they wouldn't take a payment over the phone. Needless to say... I'm not taking my car there again and to deal with the horrible/careless customer service!!!! All of them!! read more

My old car, a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport had a few troubles last year and of course is getting up there in age so before any more troubles arrived I decided to trade her in. I bought my previous car from Transitowne Mitsubishi from my nephew, Nelson Eagle. He's still with the Transitowne family but now at the Kia dealership so I decided to remain loyal and come out to him. I like to have my ducks in a row so I had gone back and forth with him prior to coming in. He had sent me a few links of different cars and I completed the financing application online before coming in. Abracadabra, Alakazam *poof* I have a new (used) car! Transitowne made it extremely easy, especially with the online financing application. Pulling up to the lot Nelson met me with the keys to my new Kia, it had been held as sold due to placing a $100 deposit. I took the car for a spin around the block to make sure it felt right. After pulling back into the lot Nelson came back out to make sure I liked the ride. From there we went inside to start papers to make this car mine. In the sense of full disclosure, Nelson is my nephew but that doesn't mean he'll let me walk all over him and at no time did anyone else in the dealership make me feel pressured. Buyer Beware from this location!!! My vehicle shut down and I had it towed to this location where I purchased the vehicle on 8-3-24. I just received my vehicle back on 8-30-24. I asked if I could get a rental as this is my family's primary vehicle I was told KIA does not do loaners or rentals I must note that my vehicle is a 2018 KIA Sorento with less than 100,000 miles. I spoke with Kyle the general manager who said please be patient if he could help with anything don't hesitate to reach out which was a lie! He was anything but available or helpful. Finally on 8/16 I received a call saying that the engine needed to be replaced and not to worry everything was covered. I thought great, making progress though between my husband and I we have missed 4 days of work and my daughter have not been able to attend swim lessons mind you no rental offered at least we are getting results. So what I have sent Kyle Tolbert the general manager 2 emails in which he totally ignored.Fast forward to 8-28 my husband receives a call saying we are all set to put the engine in but you need to replace your alternator your transmission some type of belt and your battery LIKE WHAT?! oh and it's gonna cost you 1400 dollar, yes so not paying that I call and get Kyle on the phone and try and plead my case and like always he seems concerned tells me he is going to talk to the service manager and he will give me a call and 30 we'll today is Saturday the 31st guess who never called shocker Kyle.. I called the corporate number and pleaded my case thankfully Aldo was considerate and understanding he processed my claim and received a call on Friday 8-30 saying we only had to pay for the belt and battery so out of pocket 369. Engine broke down yet again. Transitowne service said 48 hours for diagnosis, now almost a week and still not even a proper diagnosis. Tell me will be at least 3 weeks after diagnosis to repair. Dealer does not provide rentals, loaners. They expect you to go months without a vehicle or pay for your own rental out of pocket even though the warranty states otherwise. No manager will call you back or even provide you a proper Kia ticket # so you can open a case with corporate. If you think about buying a Kia or Hyundai, don't they tend to explode. If you are still interested pick a dealer who actually cares about their customers and works with corporate to resolve these issues. read more

After my car breaking down(due to bad gas) I took my car to transitowne for them to fix. Which cost me over $3000. They had my car in the their possession for over a month and while on the their lot my car got broken into and conveniently where my car was parked there were no cameras. While my car was there more things kept needing to be repaired which my car was completely fine before the gas situation. They ended up replacing the fuel pump twice and a new battery. Which after I got it back from them my car still broke down. The last time they had it all the sudden I needed a new gas tank because it was rotted. Kia tanks are plastic, plastic doesn't rot. I finally took my car to my original mechanic out of town and said he doesn't know what they are talking about. My gas tank is fine and everything else looks good. Shortly after getting my car back it's now stalling while driving, which wasn't happening before I took it to them. At this point it is not drivable and I have to get rid of it. In April 2020, Kia Motors finance charged me $480 and change on the incorrect lease (on a lease that was closed since 2014). I immediately called and asked for a refund. Every time I call, I get a different answer. Here we are in February 2021, and they still have not refunded me, despite countless attempts to get my money back. To hold that much money hostage in general is an atrocious business practice, but to do so during a pandemic when so many have had their income negatively impacted is even worse. If you're considering leasing a Kia, or financing through KMF, DONT. I've gotten absolutely nowhere asking for help from the dealership I leased the car through, transitowne Kia. $480 is so much money I want to puke thinking about this. As busy as service is they check on customers and give real time updates. I bought my car at a big named dealership. Took in to that dealer service never to return. Transitowne Kia took better care even though its a Nissan Rogue. They treat customers specifically women with respect. Good value as far as cost of service. I was assisted within minutes of arrival. Issue 1 was addressed in 2 minutes. This is because Melissa listened. Issue 2 addressed again because Melissa listened. The 3rd issue resolved unbeknownst to me the previous dealership said they changed air filter when I bought car and they didnt. She ordered filter. Problem resolved. read more

And it was a woman. Smart move. Pleasant. I'm not an easy customer because I don't care about much on a car, but did want one thing. Which evidently is something that has to be done separate. Ok. So that leaves that whole package information out there. Uggg. Wish that part was easier. Like cable, you can't get one thing without 5 others you may not be interested in. Honestly life would be better if we could pick the channels we want at home and the specific features we want in a car. ***Do not Take your vehicle here for any type of repairs*** I took my Kia Forte here for a check engine light, dropped the car off and went on my way, The next day I was told that they could not get to my car and it would have to wait for the next day, The following day I heard nothing and called around 2:00PM and was informed they could not get to the car because the Kia Techline online service that they use to diagnose the vehicles with was Down and had been for a couple of weeks, now one would think that they would have informed me of this even before I dropped off my car, on day 3 same thing, Kia Techline was down, I needed my car so I drove the 25 minutes back to Transitowne and picked up my still broken vehicle. A few dayS later I received a text from someone at what I presume was the dealership asking how my experience was and if I could complete a survey, I texted back my thoughts on the absolute atrocious and lousy customer service and my overall experience, I was then texted back a couple days later and was told that the Kia Techline online tool was back online and to bring my car back the following week on a Wednesday. On Tuesday I called just to be sure that everything was ready for my appointment, well, guess what? At first they had no appointment scheduled for me, then mysteriously They did, but I was told that the Kia Techline Online service was still DOWN and that my car could be there for days .. AGAIN!! I then knew that this was absolute BS, and for whatever reason they were blowing smoke up my arse. Maria (KIA Professional Service Representative) kept us informed on the status of our repairs as they were being completed. Maria mirrors Kia's image as being professional, knowledgeable and courteous... no wonder TT Kia is #1 in all WNY! Family owned and you do feel like your part of the family! 2. Rick the head mechanic has serviced all our previous and current TT Kia vehicles. Never have we had to return as a repeat for service. Rick is hard working and has plenty of years as an employee which tells me he likes his job! 3. The facility is beautiful. All updated customer waiting area if you choose not to have a courtesy ride home. The garage would pass a military inspection. Very organized and clean. 4. I recently bought a used Prius here, not under warranty other than lemon laws. The sales person who helped me was respectful and we made a seamless transaction. However, within an hour of driving away with my car, I noticed a crack in the windshield (how did that pass inspection I wondered? and how did I not see it before!) and condensation in one of the headlight compartments. The next day I began to hear a rattle when driving slowly over bumps. I immediately called my sales person, who despite it being a sunday answered. The next morning he called back after a meeting with his manager with very little to offer in the way of solutions. Admittedly I did have to firmly delineate my expectations about all three problems being repaired, or I'd be seeking to return the car. He called back again to arrange for my car to be brought in the next day. On that day, the polite mechanic staff worked through to trouble shoot the issues, resulting in the headlight compartment moisture being resolved, an appointment to bring the car back the next day for a windshield replacement, and a claim to have repaired the rattling by tightening down the spare tire. However, the rattling was not resolved and in fact I removed the spare to check if that was related, the sound was unrelated to the spare, so I called yet again. On the following day when I took the car back for the windshield I also went for a drive with the mechanic, and we both heard the sound together. I made a few suggestions, thought I know nothing about cars. He was feeling at a loss because he isn't familiar with Prius'. However, he was resolute to fix the issue, and he like the rest of the staff was friendly & respectful. Indeed it seems, two weeks later, that the problem is resolved (and was one of the things I'd suggested!). Although I had to press for the car to be properly attended to, in the end it was and I was treated respectfully through out the entire experience. The lesson for me was about buying g a car from a dealership that doesn't sell that make or model could be risky, and to be persistent. However, I'd recommend Tranistowne Kia if someone is seeking a Kia; the whole crew was friendly and respectful and in the end, they did aim to keep the customer satisfied & in a safe car. read more

He checked it out, denied that "they" did it, my husband reassured him that yes, it was done by them, it almost got ugly. They showed no concern or apologized for the damage that was done & said to show up on Monday to fix it like it was an inconvenience. My husband fixed it himself fearing they would do a half assed job. We've been loyal customers since 2014 & were planning on buying our second Kia from Transitowne Kia...not going to happen. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE. They are SCAMMERS. The guy kept asking if I bought the car from here, which I didn't but I've had my car for 6 years with no major problems. I literally came in for a back taillight problem for the first time($25). I was offered the cheap oil change but I declined because it wasn't needed. Suddenly the next day, the bottom of my car board is falling off and the interior lights of my car won't shut off. Naturally, I came back in to ask them to take a look and they wanted another $135 for diagnostic plus $150 for labor. Even though it was a problem that was related to why I came in, he was "sure, they didn't cause it"...but had no idea how it happened, one day after taking it here. I went in July 2021 for a simple oil change and inspection. My car was having no issues at all. About half hour in the waiting room the service girl came in and said my car failed inspection and need 2 tie rods replaced, which would cost me $500. I almost let them do since I clearly didn't know much better but decided to stop them and bring it right to a Toyota dealer for inspection. Needless to say, Toyota passed the inspection without any hesitation or suggestion of any needed car repairs. So apparently Kia is still at it in 2021 taking advantage of women they think they can scam. Shame on them. It is disgusting. read more

Blowing issues off that there's entire Facebook pages dedicated to. The paint at Kia is CHEAP and DEFECTIVE. look it up. There's Facebook pages made to warn people. Don't buy Kia and if you do, don't buy from here. They are cowards and will not face problems that need to be addressed. My paint has been coming off the car, they told me it was due to bird poop and because my car was black it could happen within an hour. Who can check their car after every hour? I did everything they told me to do, took all the precautions. And it's happening now even worse. There's an entire Facebook page warning people of these problems. She answered every question I had about the two vehicles I was interested in and was very knowledgeable about the card and dealership. Just went today and saw Jason Roy about turning in my son's Kia Forte for a new lease. Jason is an awesome guy that obviously knew his cars, and applied no pressure for the sale. I had questions about an ad that I recently came across online so Jason helped us out explaining the details. At one point he called over the store manager, Michael Tarnacki, and Michael answered a few more questions and was very friendly. We spent about an hour talking over some details for leasing a 2022 Kia Forte and came to an agreement that I was very happy with. In fact I was so happy that we decided to inquire about turning in my wifes car early and checking to see what a new lease would cost. That conversation also went to well that we signed another contract for 1 more car, a Kia Sportage. Then we decided to inquire about another Kia Forte for myself and AGAIN, the price Jason (and Michael) came up with was almost $60 per month cheaper than the best deal I could find after visiting 3 other Kia dealers around Erie County.
