Behold a quaint little restaurant on Addison road, very unassuming from the exterior, upon entry your welcomed by lamb and pork necks roasting on coals, the aroma of freshly baked pita breads, crystal glassware on the tables and cool artworks on the wall, welcome to the world of barzaari
Brought here by a friend i was told it was a cypriot restaurant, we had some lovely starters , all of which were served of a very high 5 star standard, followed by a melt in your mouth lamb neck, my friend ordered a tomato, octopus and bean dish, although the sauce of her dish was delicious the octopus was definitely a little hard to eat very chewy, not something i would order again. We ordered a few cocktails and the definite stand out was the innerwestie it was a sort of apple cinnamon martini so refreshing absolutely delicious!
we happened to go there on a blistering hot night and im not sure if its because of their wood fire oven or the fact that their air conditioner was not working but it was so hot we ended up leaving early
Heat aside it was a fabulous little restaurant with gorgeous food, i imagine it would get quite noisy when filled up with diners, but definitely a place i would visit again, so do try it if your in the mood for something a little different read more
