    oysters YUCKS :(
    Christina N.

My Australian friend brought us here for lunch because it was decently rated on urban spoon. I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed though :( Firstly, many items in the menu were out. Mostly salads and pastas, which left us with very limited options. Sydney Rock Oysters - These oysters were not fresh and the brine were still left in the shell, making them very salty. Yucks! Pancetta salad - Very good! I love how the lettuce was fresh and sweet. Must order! Pappardelle fresche with rosemary roasted pumpkin, mushroom, asparagus, pine nuts and feta. - Ok. A little too heavy for my liking and portion is hugeeee. Definitely share with a friend if your appetite is small. Overall service is pretty good. But the prices are pretty expensive even for lunch menu :(

A great local place for breakfast. This is not another boring eggs and pancakes place. You come here for something different but still delicious. A couple of recommendations: the mie goreng or Crispy pancetta, avocado, cherry tomato & aioli on toasted sourdough

Breakfast menu which I couldn't find on their website

Meh The location is excellent with lovely views over the beach but the food was bland and overpriced. My breakfast needed a poached egg on top but was told they couldn't poach (huh?) And besides, this would cost an extra $5. For one egg. Also the place lacked the welcoming and friendly atmosphere one would expect from a cafe. Couldn't get eye contact from one of the staff at all, rather mumbling and general feeling that I was a nuisance. Coffee was average, not very flavorful

Nice food. Gloomy moody wait staff, except for the lovely smiling Asian woman. Won't be back

Great food, friendly service, beautiful view of the beach and reasonably priced (for Sydney).

So glad our flight was delayed so we could return back to Coogee Beach and experience this beautifully situated establishment.

Let me explain...we were going to a show at…read morethe Seymour Centre and were going to grab a bite to eat at a little hole in the wall place on City Road. But the sewers were blocked and had huge crews of people working on them. The smell was...interesting and not conducive to dining, so we retreated round the corner onto Glebe Point Road and found this place. We were in a hurry so didn't have time for a full meal but what we had was fantastic. Beautiful spicy sausages. Baked kibbeh. A sort of lamb ravioli with rice and an amazing goat yoghurt sauce. They had some beautiful looking desserts as well but we didn't have time. They also had a huge range of home made traditional pickles that I am dying to try. We will definitely have to go back for a more leisurely meal when we aren't rushing to be somewhere else.

I have come here three times now and have tried almost everything on the menu. The best dishes, in…read moremy opinion, are: DIPS - hoummos with lamb and pine nuts; yoghurt with cucumber (tzatziki) SALADS - fatoush; tabouli MAINS - lamb mansaf; shishbarak; chicken shawarma; samkeh-harra SIDES - potato coriander; falafel; kebeh (baked or fried) If you come in a large group, I'd recommend ordering a la carte rather than any of the banquets. A la carte will get you more food for the same amount of money, with a better variety of dishes. Service here is generally quite friendly, although the last time I came there was a minor hiccup with our bill. When I went to the front counter to pay, I pointed out to the owner that one of the dishes we'd ordered hadn't been served to us, and I requested that he remove it from the bill. He checked my story with our waitress, who insisted (rather aggressively, I thought) that she had brought the dish out. After the waitress was out of earshot, the owner told me he was 'in an uncomfortable situation' because the waitress (note: I call her a waitress because she served us our food, but she could have been a manager or co-owner) had 'been working at the restaurant for 20 years' and 'wouldn't lie'. I maintained that I wasn't lying either. To his credit, he accepted my story and removed the item from our bill.

It is a vegetarian platter but I think most of it is actually vegan so even better. Loved the hommous, potatoes, and fried cauliflower so, so much. Only fault is I wish they gave more of the cauliflower and perhaps took away from something else. It was a very small portion, probably only about 2 pieces from memory and it is one of my all time fav Lebanese dishes so I was a tad disappointed. But everything else more than enough made up for it, and I was actually really surprised with the falafel because I have had so many bad encounters with it I was just pretty sure I hated it, but here it was incredible! Like really really good. They also give you so much bread so you will definitely be full and satisfied by the end of it. Highly recommend this platter. The waratenib was alright, the lemon was very overpowering and hard to notice much else, but it wasn't too bad. Service was also incredibly lovely, so it really did make for an enjoyable meal and evening all around.
