Housed in the beautiful old building of the former Marrickville Post Office, Post Cafe boasts wooden floors, high ceilings and gorgeous arched windows. While the real post office now sits at the back of the building, the cafe takes prime position overlooking Marrickville Road, which seems to suit the noshers just fine... (And it seemed to bring a smile to K Rudd's face when he visited in March 2011.) There are plenty of tables inside (grab a window seat if you can) as well as outside in the communal piazza. If you've got kids, there are a few boxes of toys and a kids' menu to keep them entertained while you enjoy a cuppa and a selection from the glass cabinet. (Macaroon, perhaps?) There's an all-day breakfast menu featuring the likes of buttermilk flapjacks with maple syrup, or for lunch I always like the grilled sirloin sandwich with lettuce, cheese, capsicum and onion jam, or the fresh Turkish roll filled with smoked salmon, dill cream cheese, baby spinach and capers and served with chips. They should do the trick!

Over all it was a good experiences. They do offer good interesting menu in general and also good special. I have piccolo as started with Caribbean frappe to start my journey. Healthy breakfast option grill halloumi, with brown rice, roast beetroot, semi dried tomato and baby broccoli was satisfying my hunger soul for my brunch. Came here with bunch of friends and this is what I observed. Presentation of breaky wrap is inspired by sushi roll, really interesting to see, The pancakes look vibrant and colorful, maybe I try it next time. Goat cheese breakfast was really good, I tried the dish a little, the goat cheese was subtle and smooth yet enough to lift up the whole dish! Turkish breakfast come also with nice option on the plate. Save your he best for last, those Ferraro Roche Donut was ah-maz-zing to the max! Live the lightness, presentation and the whole she bangs! And as usual all camera shutters are clicking this take snapshot of this items!

Mushroom Bruschetta - meh. Too much balsamic vinegar, soggy wet bread, over cooked eggs and deep fried garnish (!?)

Very slow service, waited 15mins to have our order taken. Owner was extremely rude and the food was below average. Would not recommend it

There's something mesmerising about a rack of flattened chicken rotating over glowing coals to the…read moreroar of a hair dryer. And Oricco's is all the better for it. I only popped in for a quick snack - falafel, chips and garlic sauce - somewhat astounding the patriarch of the joint with my small order; "ONLY one falafel and chips??" Probably not something they're used to given the many large platters I saw being carried out whilst I ate. But despite my odd order, these guys went above and beyond plating it up with a small pile of salad, pickles and tahini sauce. These guys knew what I needed even before I did; the perfect palate cleanser after that delicious fattiness! The falafel was little disappointing; a bit dry and sadly not reheated but the chips were freshly fried in that perfect, chicken shop style - a mixture of soft and crispy with a sprinkling of chicken salt. The garlic sauce? Thick, creamy, and enough garlic to make sure everyone in a 5km radius will smell you coming. I smelt like garlic and smoke the rest of the day, and boy was everyone jealous!

These guys do a mean chicken roll, you know, with actual chicken bits that have been flat roasted…read morearound and around. Their hot chips are totally yummy and I think I could happily eat that as a meal in itself if it didn't horrify most of my friends that I don't touch the chicken... Their garlic sauce is creamy and delish. You'll be sweating it out for days, I promise. They have a range of salads available inside as well as other Lebanese dishes from Kibbe to falafel. Seating is available inside and outside, usually this place can get pretty busy so when I was living around the corner I'd call up and order and then walk up 10 minutes later to pick up.
