Where shall I start? Well, for one thing I will say that their massage therapist is the WORST. She was not friendly, did a terrible job, and slapped my back and said "ok you're done" 30 minutes into my 60 minute massage! What a rip off! Honestly, this is my very first yelp review I've written, I am in the service industry and I don't like ever complaining, even when it's deserved. But this lady, I believe her name is Cherice, is awful. This is a chiropractic office, and when I bought the groupon to get my back checked as well as receive a massage, I was really looking forward to feeling better after my appointment, if not at least the massage. This woman rubbed my KNEES for the entire time and didn't even touch my back. She stayed seated and wheeled her chair around and rubbed me ONE-HANDED, barely touching me and rubbing the same tiny spot on my leg the entire time. I almost said something but before I could, she said i was done and ran from the room. I have never been so dissatisfied with a massage in my life, let alone with someone who is supposed to be a professional. SO BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED!
Second, I would like to say that Dr. Stockton who works at this practice seemed very genuine and kind. I liked him. He interviewed me and was very nice, but then scheduled me to come back to look at my xrays with Dr. Barton.
Dr. Barton...don't know how to sum up this man. First off, they called and made a big deal that my boyfriend come with me. Why? Because supposedly my xrays were so serious that they really needed him to see them. Drama Queen much? When I came without my boyfriend due to a scheduling conflict they refused to go over the xrays with me alone. I kept insisting that he didn't need to be there, but they really pressured me and made me feel awkward. I had to call my boyfriend and beg him to try to make the appointment. "oh, looking at THESE xrays I feel like it's very necessary for him to be here" with a grave look on your face? Come on dude. We live kinda far away so this just irritated me. The next hour he proceeded with his "sale" on getting me to come in 3 times a week for 6 months and fork over 5 grand. I'm a mom, a waitress, and a busy 20-something woman. I cannot afford the time or money to do that. I really felt like he was exaggerating my back problems anyway. He was listing a bunch of spots that were supposedly messed up, when really the only reason I went was for a sciatic nerve flare up. And another thing? My xrays didn't even look legitimate. They were sorta spotty and pieced together, and coincidentally all the places he pointed out needed help were in those vague spots of my xray. I told him we couldn't afford it and he tried to make me set up a payment plan of 300 a month. I said no I really need to think about this first, and he shook his head and said "I thought you wanted to take care of this... I guess I was wrong." How dare you! ALmost like he was trying to shame me into doing it. He kept trying to involve my boyfriend and tell him"don't you want your wife to get the care she needs?" It was a clear manipulation, a used car salesman pitch. And when it went wrong he just kept pushing and pushing. He also referenced supposed complaints I had about my back and "numbness" I'd mentioned before? But I never mentioned that to Dr. Stockton, so he clearly was mixing me up with someone else and just trying to talk me into it. I could say so much more, but I've already written a book here(and it's entitled "DON'T GO SEE DR. BARTON!")
Anyway, if you do decide to go, I would recommend getting a second opinion. This dude is a quack! read more
