**This review is solely based on the company itself!!! While I appreciate the offer of affordable chiropractic care, it saddens me that the company itself can't take care of their employees because I've had doctors here change pretty regularly. Most of them are overworked and underpaid. I mean even the front desk receptionists change regularly. My bf and I started at the Walnut Creek location a couple of years ago but didn't enjoy the doctor there at the time. He was very short with the visit and dismissive with our issues, only doing the basic adjustments they're allowed by the company. So, when we saw this Concord location come up, we decided to try it. At the time, we were seeing a different doctor and he was great, but unfortunately had to leave due to personal reasons. I will say that he did mention being overworked, underpaid, and not given PTO?? The doctors following him were either scary to get adjusted by because they were a bit rough or they just didn't focus on specific spots that needed adjustment. Eventually, we saw Dr. Amber and she was awesome! She always did adjustments according to our needs. Unfortunately, she had been supposedly let go recently?, so I decided to cancel. I'd prefer to see a regular recurring doctor. Going to a corporate chiropractor may be affordable, but you get what you pay for. It's usually a quick appointment (unless you're a new patient) because there's a long line of people waiting to be seen. There will be a wait depending on the time you go and if you find a doctor you like, be prepared not to see them again. read more

I signed up at The Joint Chiropractic while in acute pain and was not verbally informed of the key billing terms at the time of signing. I was under the impression I was committing to one month (8 visits), with optional month-to-month continuation thereafter. The 2-month minimum and auto-renewal clause were not explained to me verbally at any point. After my first month, I stopped visiting -- in part because the location was frequently closed during posted business hours, with notice given only by same-day email. Despite my absence, charges continued for months without any outreach, reminder, or notification of active billing. When I contacted them to request a refund for a charge made that same day, I was denied. I was then asked to cancel by printing, signing, and emailing a physical form -- an unnecessarily burdensome process that makes cancellation deliberately difficult. I believe a business that genuinely prioritizes patient care would make reasonable efforts to check in on patients who stop visiting, communicate clearly about ongoing charges, and provide a simple cancellation process. None of these were offered. read more

I'm sorry, but this was by far the worst Joint visit I've ever had. First off, the receptionist that was working today was not pleasant at all. She was on her phone the whole time and didn't even try to hide it, chuckling at whatever she was watching. And for whatever reason she didn't seem to like me. Once a patient would leave, she would instruct the next patient to go sit in the back. But once a patient left and it was my turn, she just looked at me then went back on her phone. Then another patient left (the only other patient in the back area). She once again looked right at me but said nothing. The doctor had to yell from the back, "Is Aaron here?" I kept looking at the receptionist to see if she'd acknowledge me and she said nothing. Now for the actual chiropractic work. The doctor working was nice, so I feel bad saying this, but she barely did anything to help me. I don't know technical terms, but all she did was crack my neck then had me turn over and cracked my spine twice , but it didn't really do much. Other than that she just kept doing that move where the chair/bed just makes a loud noise and quickly lowers or something. She also kept softly swiping the back of my calves and lower back with a finger. I honestly didnt know what that was supposed to do. It was very odd. At other locations, they did much more, such as having me turn on my side and twisting my body using their body weight. And they'd pull my legs in a way to pull out the kinks. And do this bear hug move to get more cracks out of my back. I'd leave feeling much better. Unfortunately I felt no different leaving this time. I've been very happy with The Joint until now. Although I work only a mile from this location, I won't be visiting this location again. read more

I highly recommend The Joint Chiropractic - Concord! Dr. Kwon is amazing! After almost 2 weeks of suffering of increasing sciatic pinched nerve I finally took the advice of a friend and tried TJC. Upon my first visit I was barely able to walk, I can't sleep well at night, it is painful to getup from bed even sitting down I was experiencing cramps but after 2-4 sessions my pain level went down from 8/10 to 2/10. Two Stars because there was misinformation regarding the initial promo. I was advised the next time I went in (after my initial visit) I would still be eligible for the promo so didn't need to decide right then. When I called to schedule my appointment (as discussed with the chiro doc) and confirm the promo offered I was told that I had to take advantage of it at the initial sign-up and would now lose the extra 3 visits initially offered. It is inappropriate and the person I spoke with told me there is nothing she can do but let her manager know and that's about it. There is lack of transparency of the offers and improper communication unfortunately. But will say i did like Dr. Lou, I would have loved to work with him again. read more

Dr. Kwon is just super fantastic! Other chiropractors have a difficult time adjusting my neck because I'm rather petite which I heard was an issue for other chiropractors. Dr. Kwon is able to help align our bodies which helps with our overall practical functional daily activities. Right now, pollen has been attacking my sinuses and Dr. Kwon helps our alignment to help us breathe better! It's like night an day. He's amazing! His practice is also very clean and he properly cleanses the table prior to you laying on it. I have been at other Joints where they are not as clean as Dr. Kwon. He also has a very pleasant personality and just has a knack for making us feel better. Yes, he is far for us to visit but it's worth trekking the kids in the car for a weekly visit! read more

I honestly first decided to give this place a shot because i had funds on my FSA that I needed to use before it expires and saw they offer packages. I used to always get adjusted every couple of weeks because my previous job offered it as a perk but since I've left there ($25 adjustments similar to what they offer here) I stopped going as often as it can get very costly. Love that i decided to check this spot out as I'm able to get chiropractic care preventatively /proactively again as opposed to just going in when I'm in pain. I've been helped by both Dr Cate and Dr Kwon! Both very professional and thorough during the times I've visited. Looking forward to returning for care. I go to the one in Hayward and am in Concord frequently so I decided to swing by there twice. The first time I went, they had over an hour wait and told me they'd call me. They never called. The second time I went, I didn't have a mask on and asked if they could give me one, and she said no. The people at the front are rude and never seem like they want to help anyone. Every other location I go to will provide a mask. Any place that REQUIRES a mask will provide a mask. Except here apparently. This place is TERRIBLE. Absolutely horrific. I am so disappointed. I'd like to point out that a Caucasian walked in after me and didn't have a mask and had no issue. I am not Caucasian and maybe this is part of the reason they don't help me at the Concord location. read more

I live in Antioch and even though there's one in Brentwood, I go to this location because Dr. Kwan is amazing. He is very thorough and doesn't rush your appt. He takes time to ask you about troubled areas and focus on your whole body. He also makes it a point to talk to his patients and build a great rapport with them. They're more like a drive through experience and the diamond blvd location actually treats you like a patient. I've been back 3 times since! If they're actually open, the doctors are great. This has been my experience just this week. I showed up during business hours, door was locked, no note on the door. I called the office, the recording said they were open. They were not. I left a message, asking to be called back letting them know their business hours. (Maybe they were on vacation?) No one ever called me back. A couple of days later, I called the office and asked what their hours were that day. I was told they would be open until 7pm, closed for lunch from 2-2:45. I arrived at 2:40, assuming they would open the door at 2:45, when their lunch ended. No one unlocked the door. At 2:52, I knocked on the door. Someone answered the door and said they were at lunch and wouldn't be open until 3:15. Again, no note was on the door letting clients know this. Apparently, they didn't go to lunch on time. Getting parking at the Veranda is difficult and that's twice this past week that I've shown up and they either weren't there or weren't open during hours posted and verbally given to me. I'll give them one more chance. If they're not open during regular business hours again, I'll find a business that is responsible enough to return phone calls and post revised hours on the door, the website or their voice mail. read more

The staff here was great. From reception to the chiropractor . Dr. Kate was amazing, I felt very comfortable and respected while getting a full explanation of what hat is going on with my back. We went in at around 6:30 after work on 10/26 because "walk ins are welcomed" to feel like we were disrupting the convo in the lobby between the receptionist and I believe the doctor. Then the first thing said to us was "hi are you guys returning customers?" We said no and that it was our first time and the receptionist told us to wait a second while she went back to talk to the doctor. She told us that because the consult would take long, we couldn't be seen but she could have us fill out the paper for next time. I asked if the free visit promo could be honored for us when we got seen next since this would be the last day we could come in before Halloween and she said she couldn't control that, so it would not be. They didn't even offer to take one of us, even though they had no other customers and they didn't close for another 30 minutes.
