I was really disappointed in my recent experience here. I came here as a group of 8 for a weekday lunch, and although they weren't busy took a few minutes to get seated. There is a distinct vibe, casual but with some flair. Once seated service was slow, from ordering to getting drinks, and the food arrived in stages, which normally I don't mind but some of us were almost finished eating by the time others got their meals. The food was tasty but the portions small. You're going to need a bunch of tacos to make a meal, and it's not worth it at the price. I got the ahi tuna bowl, and it didn't fill me up, with the tuna in particular an unsatisfying amount. We tried to pay on 1 check using the QR code, but it was wrong so we had to flag down a waiter to fix it, which didn't help things as we were trying to leave. read more

used to love Bartaco - it was always such a hotspot - but it's clearly gone downhill. This was my first time at the Vinings location and my first visit back to Bartaco in a couple of years, and unfortunately, it will be my last. The service and food quality just aren't what they used to be. The guacamole was nothing special, the ceviche was overly salty and a very small portion, and the cucumbers (which were recommended) were slightly mushy with too much vinegar. The tacos were just okay. The only standout was the kale salad, which was actually very good. Service was awful. Overall, a really disappointing experience. Not worth returning given how much the quality has declined. read more

Well, traffic is horrendous in this area so beware. I got off to a bad note because I called to preorder and the guy on the phone redirected me to take out only to redirect me to the same person. He said the family meal for the whole chicken wasn't in his system so I had to wait for him a few minutes to add that order. He also said it was hard to hear me. I had full bars of reception and I think on his end there was as lot of background noise so it was hard to take my order. My order was messed up (no soft tortillas or kimchi) and the chicken was small and just okay. The manager was nice enough to reimburse but really the effort in going to vining an and the price point taste and service doesn't add up here. The poke tuna was also super spicy and small in portion size. The kale salad is literally chopped kale with a Caesar dressing, plain Jane . I probably wouldn't come back. read more

I travel to this area 4-6 times a year and stay at a nearby hotel. I felt like I had exhausted my restaurant option's until I discovered this place. I tried a variety of tacos (Baja fish, shrimp, cauliflower and pork belly). They were all very good! The margaritas made with fresh squeezed lime juice (literally to order) were amazing. I took a key lime pie jar back to my hotel room to enjoy later and it was fantastic! Will definitely return again on future trips! read more

Really enjoyed the crispy oyster taco - very flavorful and a fun twist to a such a classic dish. The baja fish and chicken verde were also very good as well. I ordered the mojito and added passion fruit flavoring and recommend you do the same if you like fruity drinks. Olivia was our server and she was so sweet, checked in on us consistently but not in an overbearing way. She also made tremendous recommendations. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm spring ATL weather and patio vibes with soft upbeat music in the background. read more

First Time at The Vinings Location. Parking A+, although it was still lunch time, it was not crowded. I was greeted by George, very pleasant.. I was seated right away. The bartender was shaking a cocktail..the few tables that were occupied were In lively conversation, music was playing.. not too loud to drown your conversation it was at a comfortable level The patio had plenty of seating.. can't wait for warmer weather to sit outside. George was my server. First to the table was a glass carafe of water and ice water. George was very knowledgeable of the menu.. being it was my first time. I had already viewed what I wanted the korean bbq ribeye rice bowl. shaved ribeye beef marinated in a sweet sesame-soy sauce, topped with spicy kimchi, korean-style spinach and crispy shallots Yum. This was light and tasty I just wish it had bbq sauce. I added a little Roja sauce for added flavor. Then I decided to have a cocktail.. George twisted my arm and made me order the Old Thymer delicious Bourbon drink, great balance of Sweet Vermouth Orange Juice, Lemon Juice, and Angostura Bitters And a little Thyme garnish. Very delicious. During my meal, I think the manager came by to check if everything was good. (Nice touch) I like when they care about the dining guests. The pretty lady that bought my drink was nice too. They have a card to signal server.. I guess instead of yelling across to get your servers attention. I will return. I really enjoyed my experience. Keep up the good dining experience. read more

My friends and I walked in here on a Wednesday afternoon and we were greeted and sat immediately. Our server was very nice and friendly. We ordered chips and salsa along with the esquites as appetizers. Both salsas were not very spicy and the hot sauces on the table also were not spicy. I do wish there was a bit more spice in them. The esquites was amazing! The 3 tacos I had were so delicious! My absolute favorite was the honey roasted Brussels sprouts. It was my first time at this location and I highly recommend it! read more

I love bartaco. People are so friendly, vibes are always on point, and food is always good. My first time at the vinnings location which I enjoyed with one of my favorite people. I swear by the time I put down my phone after ordering the food started to arrive! Enjoyed the ceviche, duck birria, chopped salad, and plantains. I like their N/A cocktails too. The ginger drink is delicious. Each bartaco has its thing and this one has the largest bar area for the ATL locations. Parking can be tight in the plaza but I found a spot. read more

Bartaco Vinings is nestled in the heart of Vinings off the main road. There are 2 other businesses in the center so parking can be crowded. Free parking regardless. Easy to locate with signage from road. I joined the wait list in case they were busy. There was a nice little crowd. We got the last table indoors. They do have seating on the covered patio with heaters. Patio perfect during warmer weather. We were seated immediately by one the managers, Darren. I got the reposado Margarita and my friend got the Paloma fresco. She said it was good. She couldn't taste the tequila. So here is the thing with my Margarita..lol. Margarita by itself was okay to me. I prefer mine sweeter and this was tart. However, the sugar rum I asked for saved the drink for me. Usually, I would have asked for a little agave to sweeten. A young man who will be unnamed was our server. He did a good job making suggestions from the menu. He said the guacamole was good. I ordered a small. It came with 5 fried tortillas that I broke into pieces. Tortillas were good my themselves. The guacamole was good. Loved it!! However, if you do not like spicy, I advise against it. Definitely taste the pepper in it. Tacos were really good. Loved the flavor of the pork belly and Chicken Verde. Definitely would order them again. I just wish they were bigger. Alas, delicious food. My friend enjoyed her tacos as well. She got the chicken verde, shrimp, carnitas and sesame ribeye/steak. She said they were all really good. She tried a few of the sauces at the table. Fyi, you can buy sauces to take home!! She ordered churros to go. It came with dark chocolate and another sauce. The churros solo were good. Not a dark chocolate fan. The food and drinks were good. The vibe was nice inside the restaurant. Loved the restaurant decor. It was small and intimate to me. Great for a date night or dinner with friends/family. The manager was nice and helpful. Our server started strong and then no dice. We were looking for him. He was talking at another table for about 15 minutes. We got the young lady attention he was talking to so we could get our checks. We watched her tell him. He walks back like headed to us. He actually just moved out of view. Unfortunately, I had to approach another server to ask for checks and the churros to go. He apparently saw me and ran back in. No apology at all. Just 1 or 2 checks and brought churros. As we left, he was back talking to that young lady. I was disappointed in how distracted he was and having to ask someone else to help us. Hopefully, he learns to be equally attentive to all his tables. Outside of that, we had a positive experience and would go back. read more

We haven't been to this location before, but consistently delicious tacos, rice bowls, and the ambience is wicked awesome. Everyone who works there is so incredibly friendly and courteous. Service was excellent, and the seating is great because you can do an indoor outdoor type of thing. Located in Vinings Jubilee, there are tons of restaurants and shops in the area. I'm a huge fan of bartaco Hyde Park, so when our original plans fell through in Atlanta, I had to stop by the Vinings location and it did not disappoint! I saw some mixed reviews, and hey, everyone has their own experience, but ours was great. We visited on a weekday at a random lunch hour, so it was quiet, and the service was quick. The food? As always, fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. It's consistently tasty and filling every time. We'll definitely be back! read more

Went here for the first time and I wasn't disappointed! Starting off the watermelon mint margarita was delicioso! Unfortunately one of my guests didn't get his beer and they kept bringing out the wrong drink. Upside is they let us keep them so 2 free drinks wooo! It's an interesting format and more like family style and you mark how many of whatever you want on a card and hand it to the server. And everything just comes out as it's ready. The guac is great. They give you the fried tortilla whole so I was much more cognizant of how many of those I shoveled into my gullet because one thing about me I shouldn't be trusted around a chip and dip. The green verde salsa was the best salsa. Pork belly anything is the belle of the ball. Worth it. Street corn was tasty. And everything else was also very good. The chorizo I probably wouldn't get again. But otherwise we'll likely be back! read more

What a cute spot! We loved the decor. We were greeted quickly and led to our table. It was our first visit so we were given an overview of our options for ordering (using qr, traditional with the server, or using the forms). For food: Taco teaser was excellent and we enjoyed all the flavors. Top favorite thing we ordered was the Duck Birria. We ordered a LOT of tacos. Top honors to the pork belly, falafel and chipotle chicken. Drinks: the sangria was tasty. The Mojito was also quite good. read more

A Late-Night Gem with Amazing Tacos and Stellar Service I recently visited Bartaco, and let me just say, this place has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation of go-to restaurants. From the food to the service, everything about this experience was top-notch. Here's why: We decided to drop by Bartaco on a whim--it was a weekday night, and we arrived fairly late, about an hour and a half before closing. To make things more complicated, we were a group of six with no reservation. I was half-expecting to be turned away or at least met with a bit of hesitation, but the staff didn't miss a beat. They welcomed us with open arms, quickly found us a table, and made the entire process so smooth and easy. Once we were seated, we dove straight into the tacos, and wow, they did not disappoint. I had the fish taco first, which was hands-down my favorite. The flavors were perfectly balanced--light, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Then came the chicken taco, and honestly, I couldn't decide which I liked better because it was equally amazing. The flavors were bold, savory, and cooked to perfection. Finally, I tried the shrimp taco, and while it packed some serious heat (definitely the spiciest of the three), I absolutely loved it. The spice level was intense but in the best way possible--it added an exciting kick without overwhelming the other flavors. Each taco felt like a mini masterpiece, and I could tell that a lot of thought and care went into crafting them. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. The servers were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome despite the late hour. They were quick to take our orders, checked on us regularly, and even surprised us with a free Bartaco coupon! It's those little touches that truly stand out and make a dining experience memorable. The atmosphere was also great--relaxed yet lively, perfect for winding down at the end of a long day. Everything about this location, from the food to the staff to the overall vibe, left me thoroughly impressed. If you're looking for a place with incredible tacos, excellent service, and a welcoming environment, Bartaco is it. Whether you're going for a casual meal or a late-night outing like we did, this spot delivers every time. I'll definitely be back soon--and probably ordering that fish taco again! read more

Bartaco @ Vinings is always a good time. I discovered this location from an event ai went to over the summer with Yelp and it has become one kf my go-to's. Its located in the heart of Vinings near the railroad tracks. My bestie and I were seated immediately, it was a Monday night, so it was a little slow. Tonight I had a blind pirate IPA, a falafel taco, black beans, mexican street corn and the barria quesadilla. My goodness EVERYTHING WAS 10/10! Nothing like great convo, good drinks and food. I was able to use my wooden taco coin for my falafel taco! YAY!! Thanks Bartaco @ Vinings. Here are a few photos. SYOY! read more

"Tacos are like what the voices of a hundred angels singing Bob Dylan while sitting on rainbows and playing banjos would taste like if that sound were edible." Isabel Quintero Had a chance to enjoy some great tacos, a few beers and great conversation on the outside deck at Bartaco in Vikings. Bartaco is a fun spot if you're in the area. It's a casual restaurant but with an upscale feel. They have a creative menu of tacos that run around $3-$4. and also "non-tacos" such as appetizers, salads, bowls and such. We went for the three vegetarian taco options mushroom taco "herb marinated + roasted wild mushrooms w/ roasted poblano chile sauce + queso fresco" cauliflower taco "roasted cauliflower placed on a chickpea hummus topped w/ pistachio chimichurri + fresh pomegranate seeds" falafel taco "herbed chickpea fritter w/ traditional greek-style tzatziki + sriracha" All theee were great, with the falafel taco being a unique offering . I dined in at bartaco Vinings twice this year for lunch (once in July and once in September). The experience is unique because it's all done online from your smartphone. When you sit with your party, you scan a QR code (hope that it works correctly) and then use it to join a group order or begin your individual ticket. It's a very modernized approach and requires you to order your food through your phone. When it works, it is efficient & the server will come by with what you ordered in a timely manner. The struggle comes with larger parties on a group order because something in the online system seems to trigger the food to come out together, but without it being labeled to indicate who ordered which set of food. This can be problematic if there are dietary restrictions or allergies & the food is brought out together on a single tray. This caused a bit of hiccups during my second experience with a larger group (8-9 people). As far as the food goes, I LOVE their salsa and guacamole with tostadas. They make great shareables and taste so flavorful. I also like their tacos. My faves are the lobster taco, duck taco, and pork belly taco. I would probaly come back with my hubby or a small party, just because of the online ordering confusion, but it's a nice vibe in Vinings. read more

I'm officially done with this location. Ordered my pork belly tacos yesterday at the restaurant and they were sooooo spicy even my Son who loves spicy couldn't take it. The tuna bowl I had was really good. I would come back to have again. Our waiter was very helpful, attentive and funny.

Bartaco in Vinings has become a frequent stop of ours! We love their tacos and vibe. I will say it is frequently very busy on the weekends, so I would highly recommend getting on their online waitlist. We typically have great service from the managers, but I will say sometimes it lacks from the servers. I know being a server can be tough (i've done it), but at a restaurant like this where they use an online ordering platform. I would love to get more attention from my server. Our drinks tonight took over 20 minutes to come out, and you would have hoped our server was checking on that for us. I still love the food and it always is perfect. I will say the special Summer Squash taco they have is amazing! The flavoring is so good and it's very light. Definitely try that if you get the chance to go before the special is over. Overall I love bartaco! I just think there are some improvements to be made in the way the servers work with their guests read more

I am usually a big fan of Bartaco. They fell short tonight. I ordered a 4-pack of Baja fish tacos for pick up and got home to find barely enough fish for 2, maybe 2.5 tacos. Additionally, when I arrived, no one was upfront managing pick up orders, and no one ever came up front. After waiting for a while, I identified my bagged order on a side table (getting cold), took it, walked back to the sit down area and notified an employee (waiter? manager?) that I was taking it, and left. I tried to call the restaurant after I got home to complain about the fish portion, but no one answered the phone. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is the food was still pretty good. I hope this was just an off night. read more

The best experience here!!! I went here on a Friday afternoon after work and it was fabulous! lol. I love food, can you tell ? The outside seating was preferred and I got a load of stuff to try and was exceptionally pleased by the taste and the temperature of the food. They did not miss. To start I had the salsa verde. I love that the green salsa was the right flavor for those round tortilla chips you get with them. They were warm and toasty but they broke easily and paired well with the dip. I ordered the grapefruit agua fresca because I love grapefruit and it was the perfect choice for me. On to the tacos. I chose the falafel, the spicy verde chicken, and the tuna on a lettuce Bibb. Chefs kiss. Tasted like I was eating sushi but without having to dip my tuna in soy sauce. The falafel was a little spicy but I don't mind a little heat. The chicken verde was excellent. I really had no complaints here. The service was marvelous. They do have a different system here though, so you don't necessarily order with a waiter but it's still pretty great because "dragonflies" (a name for their waiters) are floating around to check on you and make sure you are good. For dessert I had their churros and it Did Not disappoint. It comes with two dipping sauces. Chocolate and a white sauce I'm not sure what it's called but it was my favorite. read more

Fun spot with good tacos and pretty good service. Indoor and outdoor seating - reasonable prices but not a cheap taco shop.

This place is so good and was shocked to see bad reviews Setting: supper cute and nothing to crazy. Best place for chatting and connecting Food: not crazy big portions bot it's good as fxxx. Hands down. I don't mind paying 3.75 for a good taco. The guac is good Price: Decent. I can't expect it to be cheaper because of how they would make money then. It's not meant to be McDonald's price food so don't come in here expecting to eat 20 tacos for $20.
