Mushroom taco and Baja fish taco

My friends and I went here for a quick bite before a Friday night concert. Their waiting line system for a table is great in concept but a little hard to time out unless you're relatively flexible and nearby when you're getting to the head of the line. We were waiting total a little over an hour (started 16 in line for 3 people) and about 20 minutes actually in the restaurant. You could tell it was a little stressful for the staff because there were multiple groups waiting with us, but they were very friendly and checked in with everyone consistently. Once we sat down, we had about 30 minutes to eat. We let our waiter know and had no issues with quick service. To order, you fill out a paper menu and then put a little card in a stand to let them know you're ready, which definitely streamlines the process. Only bummer was it was 7:30pm and they were out of shrimp *cries*. I loved their range of tacos, which offered multiple meat, seafood, and veggie options. As they were out of shrimp I tried the four others I had my eye on: Baja fish, ahi tuna, mushroom, and cauliflower. All had unique and delicious flavors. The tuna was hard to eat on a piece of lettuce, but made more sense to me I suppose than a corn tortilla. I'm not a meat eater but my friend got four different meat options and enjoyed them. The waiter specifically recommended the pork belly. The tacos are pretty small so I'd recommend at least four if you're not ordering other food. These are not the best tacos I've ever had, but it's a solid spot with a lot of options. The selection of sauces at the table was fun to try. The restaurant was busy and crowded but not too noisy, and tables are nicely spaced out. Everything seemed clean and we were comfortable. I'd enjoy going back again when I have a little more time to relax.

Such a cute, casual lunch or dinner spot! The vibes are honestly perfect for any occasion and just fill you with positive vibes. The service was really fast and super sweet, and the food is satisfying and cheap. I literally have no complaints! My friend and I met here to catch up over lunch and tried their tortilla soup and a couple of the tacos. I have to say, the duck taco was deliciously tender and umami supported by a nice soft tortilla, and the soup is exceptionally flavorful, creamy, and filled with chicken! From the food to the atmosphere to the service, the entire experience just feels joyous. Definitely one of my new go-to spots for a cheap, simple yet delicious meal! I can't wait to try their other tacos and some of their other menu items!!

Decent tacos, though small and a bit pricey at $3-6 a pop. We came here for a group outing. The Pork Belly taco definitely stood out from the rest, a delicious sweet and savory medley. The Seared Chorizo taco didn't taste like chorizo at all. Also, there was an unequal distribution of meat on the tacos--they put a normal amount on some while skimping on others. Service was great for the sheer number of people and food we ordered

Came & left with a satisfied smile--and only one nitpick. (More to come on that) This spot nails the "upscale street‑style" vibe: exposed‑wood décor, mellow Latin tunes, and plenty of natural light create a laid‑back yet stylish atmosphere. A real beachy‑coastal charm. Perfect for casual dates or group outings, bartaco hits a sweet spot between casual and chic. Tacos aren't cheap, and portion sizes are small, but the quality, creativity, and hassle‑free ordering somewhat make up for it. The overall energy is welcoming and polished. Come for the creative, well‑crafted tacos and bright, fresh margaritas; just be ready for the premium pricing and wicked small portions. We had to order quite a few things to no longer feel hungry. Should be advertised as tapas. The biggest highlight was hands down the Churros. Arguably the best Churros I've ever had. I'll happily return just for the Churros & a cup of coffee--4 stars feels about right.

Quick service, great ambiance, tacos hit the spot!! I dropped in around lunch and was seated quickly before the lunch rush but they keep it moving. Staff was super nice and attentive. I tried the Baja taco, mushroom taco, and chile-lime shrimp taco. All the tacos have great flavors and they give you a good amount of the protein, which is appreciated! Would get them all again. The Baja fish taco was my personal favorite of the day. Chefs kiss! There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is fantastic with the spring and summer sun! You can also order to go which is a good option if it's crowded from the Red Sox games or other events going on. I plan to come back!

Great spot for a quick bite or longer sit down meal with drinks! This was my first time coming to this location and I was super impressed by the chain's consistency and quality. The staff was beyond warm and helpful, the restaurant was clean, and the food & drinks were tasty. I got the bar taco marg (made spicy) as well as 3 tacos (sesame ribeye, shrimp, and duck). The ribeye blew the others out of the water. They seemed a bit flavorless in comparison and were smaller portions. I also ordered some esquites which were great. Super cheesy which I love!

Excellent spot for a quick bite to eat before a game. You pay as you go by ordering on your phone and everything is brought out to your table relatively quickly. The food and drinks are always top notch and delicious. Definitely order multiple tacos if you are hungry as they are street taco size. Love that the location is close to Fenway but not close enough you have to fight with crowds to get in. There is outdoor seating available which makes it a great spot on a beautiful day.

I came from San Diego to eat Tacos. That was not my initial plan but turned out to be a great experience. My biggest complaint about East Coast Mexican food is the quality of the tortillas. These are top notch. The variety is very good. I had four getting one more Baja. Highly recommend this place especially if you have had quality tacos.

If nothing else, apartment hunting leaves you hungry, and what better to quell such an ailment than with tacos? Bartaco has multiple locations across Boston, meaning you are never far from your next tortilla-wrapped fix. These establishments lie in wait for hungry patrons to pass by, then lure them in with the smell of spice and promise of a full stomach; the revitalizing cure that is a Bartaco taco. To celebrate our newfound apartment (and calm our nerves from having spent all our money on a deposit), my party of three began with a round of margaritas. As Bartaco cares for their customers, ensuring that you get just what you want, these margaritas come with the choice of a salt, sugar, or spiced rim, customizable to fit the preferences of each individual diner. Along with our drinks, we ordered a delicious guacamole that had a mild spice to it and was paired with innovative, crispy, unbroken corn tortillas. No pre-cut chips, allowing you to break off just what you need. Additionally, an order of salsa roja was placed, but sadly, she did not impress. Stand alone, the salsa was just alright, but nothing to write home about. Our party ended up pairing her with the guac, adding a new layer of flavor to an already exceptional dip, and salvaging the underwhelming salsa. Alright, let's talk tacos. Bartaco advises patrons to order 3-5 tacos as each one is rather small, and they want you to be aware of their taco procedures. I ordered the chile-lime shrimp, falafel, and pork belly (the last being noted on their menu as both a staff and fan favorite). The tacos are swaddled with soft flour tortillas and served on a sleek silver tray, each diner presented with their line-up atop a sterling platter, gleaming in the afternoon sun, reflecting hope and satiation. My trio of tacos delivered just that. The chili-lime shrimp? Delectable. Paired with jicama escabeche that added a fresh crunch to each bite and drizzled with pepita salsa macha, adding a subtle spice. Perhaps it could have used one more shrimp, but ultimately divine. The falafel? Oh, mother may I. She was delicious. Without even considering her taco state, this was one of the best falafels I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. A perfect soft, chickpea filling with a strong and crunchy armor protecting the decadent green insides. Served with greek-style tzatziki and sriracha, creating an unexpected yet genius dichotomy of flavors by pairing together the refreshing yogurt-based cream and spicy chili pepper sauce. A forbidden pas-de-deux of opposing senses. Romeo meets Juliet, tzatziki meets sriracha. And now, a proclaimed Bartaco favorite: the pork belly taco. This was arguably the simplest of them all, but she left nothing to be desired. Bite sized pieces of pork filled the soft tortilla cocoon, each morsel seared to perfection, the fat melting in your mouth with each bite. The piggies rested atop a spicy arbor chili sauce, a touch smoky but not overpowering, and were garnished with fresh cilantro and pickled vegetables. The pork belly tacos are a favorite for good reason. All in all, Bartaco did not disappoint. In the future, I plan to eat every taco on the menu. This is not the last they will be seeing of me.

Food: The ahí tuna bowl was quite small. There were only 4 small pieces of tuna, and the ratio of rice to tuna was significantly off. There was a bit too much rice. The veggies were very OK, nothing special. Purple haze cost me $12 but it was so small, also a bit too much ice. Nothing special. The best part was the street corn I ordered after the ahi tuna bowl, this was delicious! Definitely the highlight of my meal. So perfect. Service: Food was super fast! The waiters and waitresses were all super friendly as well. Ambiance: This is a stunning restaurant in the heart of Fenway. I came on a Monday afternoon and there was so much natural sunlight, and tons of outdoor seating. Stunning ambiance as always! It is pricey for sure (especially for what you get), but it was a nice treat to try a new place on my day off :)

Guacamole was solid. Tacos were delicious - my favorite was the blackened shrimp taco. The tres leches was decadent and delicious. Service was on point. Patio is lovely on a nice day, but can get noisy at rush hours. I'd definitely be back here for the cocktails.

Had to do a Target run today and happened upon the BARTACO Fenway Park location for a late lunch after my shopping. What an incredibly fabulous find!!!! I felt very welcomed as I walked into BARTACO. Manager Kevin was gracious and the epitome of a host. Kudos as well to my server who was very good as well. I relaxed and reviewed the menu being extremely pleased with the offerings and prices. I decided to try a few things and I absolutely loved everything! I had the plantains, esquite, pork belly taco, falafel taco and the agave ginger mint iced tea. BTW you can do an online survey before leaving and get a token for a free taco. I did the survey and plan to use my token when I take my BF to their Boston Seaport location this weekend!! I'll add that I can see this place being a great stop prior to Red Sox games once the season starts again!!

You get to pick three tins, and it also comes with lobster, bread, butter, pickled vegetables, and other accompaniments. It ended up being a really fun experience, especially if you've never explored high-quality tinned seafood before. We also got the lobster roll and the snow crab toast. The lobster roll was exactly what you'd want.. warm, buttery, packed with lobster, and on a perfectly toasted bun. The crab toast was another winner and disappeared way too fast. My biggest complaint had nothing to do with the food though. There were fruit flies everywhere. They kept flying around our table and landing near the food throughout the meal. At a casual seafood shack I'd probably shrug it off, but at a restaurant charging these prices with this kind of upscale vibe, it felt pretty unacceptable and honestly took away from the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and would come back for the tinned fish platter alone, but I hope they get the bug problem under control. For the amount you're paying, that's not something customers should have to deal with.

In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
