Concord Bart is okay. There's not much seating, and what benches there are are all made of concrete. The bathrooms are usually dirty unless you get there in the morning to use them, but at least they have a bathroom, right? There is an attached bus depot with buses that can take you all over the Concord/Pleasant Hill area. There are also taxis to one side, as well as a large parking lot and parking structure that rarely fills up. If you need a snack, a little food truck full of gross food is available. Only eat the pre-packaged stuff, or maybe the tacos, if you like a lot of spicy. The corndogs are terribly dry and stale though. The best feature of this station is that it is centrally located. Only a few blocks away and you are at Todos Santos Plaza, where there are nice restaurants and a farmers market every Tues and Thurs! read more

Who wouldn't want to drive five minutes from the freeway exit to the Concord BART station? I mean, who doesn't like having the luck of catching all the yellows or reds on the Clayton Avenue stretch of traffic lights every two-three blocks? How lucky am I to live a skipping distance from the Concord BART? Yet, walking on the sidewalk that appears to have cement poured over gravel and a large empty dead lot, that should be converted into a park (in my opinion) isn't very comfortable walking territory. I'm spoiled I like "actual" sidewalks. Then there is the wonderful side-street that drivers really don't care to stop for the pedestrians who, wait, have the right of way to cross. Then lastly there is the last part where, even bus drivers seem to forget there is a stop sign on the last step of getting to the acutal station. I can't complain though, I don't have to drive to work (anymore) and the only problems I have with other people are the ones that don't respect the morning lines being formed for the designated cars. Look, there is a commuter level of respect for each other, how fair is it that just because you chose to sit down or walk up when the door open allows you to get a seat of your choice? Unlike other BART stations I've been to, this isn't a "ghetto" station and believe me this station does have its rare sighting of bums. Again, RARE. read more

This place has gotten better over the years It used to be dark and creepy but recently they have put in new street lights and more "art", they have also cleaned it up and for the most part the restrooms are also cleaned on the regular. Trains are usually on time and not a lot of shifty looking people hanging around anymore. read more

1 Star is too great of a rating for the customer service I received today from the Station Agent Mary at North Concord Bart. First off I approached the booth to inquire about the time of the next train to SFO and she totally ignored me. I used my smart device as an alternative and figured out that information on my own. I then loaded 10.00 on to a clipper card with a balance of 2.25 making my current balance 12.25 and proceeded to the entry. The machine read " See Agent ". I approach the booth once again, she facing me, blatantly ignored me once again, so I knocked on the glass and notified her that my card issued an error that said " See Agent " without a word from her mouth she came out of the booth grabbed the card and slid it at the exit gate and told me " you now have a balance of 6.00 for your next trip". At this point I'm very much confused thinking "okay so are you letting me in the gate because you just swiped money off my clipper card at your exit gate without my authorization, when in fact I'm entering the station not exiting" she handed me the card back leaving me to pay for yet another trip when I hadn't taken a first trip with no explanation other than " someone owes you money " and " it's my job" Excuse me? I don't know whether to assume dementia is setting in for her , or she's using drugs , but this is totally inappropriate and unacceptable. I would have respected her actions more if they came with an explanation, but she was just snotty and rude. Maybe Bart should look into some employee counseling or training on how to correspond with the public for Mary because this isn't the first negative review about her. Maybe retirement can be an alternative since she in fact is as old as dirt. read more

This is the first time I've taken the BART and it wasn't so bad for a first time experience. The train was reasonably clean and the trip to SF wasn't that bad. I was happy to see that parking was free and I plan to use the BART more often on my own if I decide to make more trips out to SF. The other passengers on the train were very social and a pleasure to talk with. The prices weren't bad either, it was a lot more cheaper than having to drive out to SF myself, pay toll, then pay for parking. HOWEVER, if you are going with multiple people then it would probably be cheaper to drive your own car and everyone just chip in to pay. I would ride the BART again read more

Not a bad BART station!!! Easy pull-up at the entrance for those getting dropped off. Plenty of ticket booths for passes (I counted six outside?). People are always willing to help and really friendly. The waiting platform is a bit windy and chilly with nothing blocking the elements. The signs are really easy to follow and the PA system is clear. I hate it when you cant understand what the PA system is saying!!! read more

No motorcycle parking!! I have to go all the way to Pleasant Hill instead where they have tons of parking for scooters and motorcycles. The one time I went to this station on my scooter, I circled around forever looking for the motorcycle parking only to discover it doesn't exist. I parked illegally and went to the Bart station attendant to confirm, she was nowhere to be found. After about 5 minutes of worrying about being parked illegally, she showed up and confirmed that there either isn't any motorcycle parking, or she doesn't know anything about it or where it is. read more

This station was in decent shape before covid. Ever since then it's been a downward spiral and no one seems to care. Homeless sleeping by the bike lockers so high on drugs they won't wake up so you can get your bike out of the locker. Don't even dare use the bathrooms unless you want to get a STD. But the biggest problem is they have an empty lot by the bus entrance that has about 30 homeless tents on it as we speak, With homemade bathrooms, and garbage pouring out onto the sidewalk. I have made several complaints yet nothing has been done. BART! police = a joke. Bart, and Bart police should be taken over so someone will actually run it how it is supposed to be run with some class and dignity. I've been a Bart passenger full-time for four years and something needs to be done because at this moment nothing is being done. Give your riders the safety and security they deserve when entering your stations and riding your trains. read more

One of the few stations that I haven't puked at. I think the parking situation is a lot better here than many other BART stations. I never had a problem finding parking near the entrance around 7am, whereas many other BART parking lots are full by then. It's also a very short walk away from downtown Concord and there are always taxis and busses at the ready to take you wherever you may want to go. read more

Don't park in the reserved spots early. There is lady who waits until 9:50 to give tickets. They only have 3 pay stations to pay for parking. Also parking goes up every 6 mos. We're due again in October 2015. Over flow is full by 8am. My biggest issue with bart is they don't offer anything for commuters and they are not as efficient as other trains in various states (dc, ny, Chicago). Bart is only out to drain the consumer. They are not Customer centered. I've commuted on bart almost 6 years and it just keep getting less convenient! I'll be done with Bart in November. This is my goto location for getting on a BART train in order to travel into the Bay area. There is some free parking in the garage, but otherwise you can get an all day spot in the public parking garage across the way for a reasonable rate. The attendants and service folks have always been helpful when I needed a little direction and the station seem generally safe and clean. read more

Second time using BART to SFO, first using Concord Station and I was very happy. Arrived at 6:45am and there was plenty of free parking. At the station, the guy sweeping the floors helped me with the ticket machine and was so nice. I wish I had his name to mention here...he went above and beyond. Returning from SFO, the parking lot was full so I guess you need to arrive early but I did see a $2/day parking accross the street also. Never driving to SFO again!!! When it comes to BART Stations, I can't say I am the best at knowing the difference. However, the Concord BART Station was very easy to figure everything out and where I was going. Everything was clean and was not too crowded. read more

I take BART Concord to go to work in Oakland. It's not the same as it used to be. It has become too crowded. Most of the trains that come from Pittsburg are already full and all seats already taken. When the trains come back from San Francisco in the afternoon, they're even more crowded. BART tries to solve this crowding problem by taking out some of the seats to give more space for riders to stand on. I hope they'll just send more ten-car trains during rush hours. And now that they're extending BART all the way to Brentwood, I can see that this problem will only get worse. read more

The thing I like about this BART station is that they have a whole fleet of busses here to transfer you to anywhere in the area... Also, the busses are prompt, and cheaper then the ones run by AC Transit. read more

This Bart station is about a two mile walk to and from my house. I love it just the mornings so busy and crowded with people. It's well lilt in the morning and clean for the most part parking is great and it's always a cab around and the buses is great. read more

Ok, Here goes... Beside NEVER being cleaned or power washed, like most other Bart Stations, there is a lack of lighting on the stairs and the walkway to the station. Is that a news flash to anyone out there? I have mentioned it numerous times.. Guess I can call Public Safety and the Health Commissioner's next. It's all these smoking people on the platform, smoking and without any care or consideration of anyone else. You people who do this suck! I recently parked my motorcycle in the parking structure at this station (cover to avoid the rain) and went into the city for class. Upon return, the cycle had been stolen despite the bike being locked (Steering column, front disk lock). Though there are camera's at every entrance and exit, the transit police, the Bart employees and the actual police did not check them, nor did they do anything to try to find the cycle or the person who stole it. If you ride a bike, beware. If you drive a car, beware. This station is not safe and no one will help you if something happens to your vehicle. read more

Toilets are not clean. Area feels rather unsafe. Prices keep on going up with no updates. Please be CAREFUL where you park. I don't use Bart often and this time it was first time I used it during the weekday. Was in a rush and accidentally parked in an area where permit was needed up until 10am and after 10am you can pay the daily parking fee. Not aware of that I paid the daily parking fee for my stall and came back to find a $75 parking ticket on my window. I acknowledge that I should have paid more attention (my fault) to the signs but $75?!! And why am I able to pay a daily ticket for my stall number when parking in that stall is prohibited? Please fix that, there were many others that have accidentally done that same thing and have asked you to make updates for that issue. We know you can afford it with just those insane parking tickets you charge people who want to do some good for the environment and support public transport. Needless to say, because of the general lack of safety, dirty stations, sanctions like this and overpriced tickets I will just use my car and not Bart. read more

there's a bathroom. it's not incredibly clean but hey at least it's usable! there's a sanitizing pump stand. there are bart employees here who don't bark at you. the parking is free. you always get a seat on the train. the police station is close by so there are bart police and concord police around. if you are lucky, you'll get to see a police officer and their police dog!! when it's girl scout cookie time, the girl scouts are out selling cookies. this is my go to station. it's 45 minutes to SF and i get to skip bridge toll, paying for gas, traffic, and get to catch up on my sleep on the train. it's all a win win!!! read more
