Barry's is back and in their new location!! It took me a bit to get back to one of my favorite new old spots. It's didn't move far but it was missed. Luckily, it's like it was never gone in the first place. The new location offers slightly less dine in, but all of Barry's Classics. Plenty of standard and more you need cheesesteak offerings. I would say this is a more local-friendly spot who definitely take care of their customers while they are dining in. (April 2021 visit) Was wandering around Roxborough last night (as you do) and tried the often suggested Barry's as a "better than Delos" alternative. In car dining for freshest 1st impression. Steak was seasoned well with medium chop, good cheese (American - no Cooper on offer) to meat ratio and al dente onions which added a nice sweet pop. The roll sadly was a miss IMHO - fresh wasn't the issue but softness was. It held together but was squishy, lacked a bit of mouth feel compared to the heavy hitters. Articulate on the phone when taking your order and friendly customer service at the counter.
