I heard that Barry's was just another version of Orange theory from some friends, I got there and that's what I expected. While I think to a degree that assessment may be on point, there are some notable differences. 1. Barry's made me feel very genuinely welcome, right from the front desk. Everyone wanted to make sure I understood how things worked and were there to guide me through it every step of the way. 2. I had a cute welcome letter waiting for me on my treadmill. 3: I liked how their strength area was only a few feet from the cardio, making the transition extremely quick 4: the instructor had a full class but still managed to notice when I was confused. 5: in most gyms when you're really fat you feel judged but in this one I had many people walk up to me saying things like good job etc, The experience was really great, wish we had one of these in New Mexico.

Super fun and challenging workout!! Burned so many calories and it goes quick! Prepare to get ur butt kicked by the running but overall felt great to really get my heart rate up. Great music too!

I had tried Barry's once in Seattle and I didn't necessarily loved it however this time I liked it way more. Maybe because I knew what to expect. I liked the instructor Sammy - she brought the energy. It's definitely an intense and fast paced workout but you can modify to your fitness level. This studio unlike the Seattle studio doesn't have showers which is not a deal breaker for me but I know some people like to workout before they go to work so a shower would be ideal. This studio also doesn't offer a smoothie bar like Seattle. Front desk staff was friendly. Parking was good which is important for me.

There's nothing better than being with a gym so long you get to experience all the growth that…read morecomes with it! Nikki & Nick have really built something special in Scottsdale. I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!!

I've only taken three strength training classes so far, but they've all been great. The workouts…read moreare effective, creative, and genuinely fun. I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one!

Summit Society is located inside Team Forty Four which is off Indian School and 38th St. The studio offers an intense 30minute climb / workout. Before the beginning of each class you're introduced to the Versa Climber along with the various strokes and the Do's/Don'ts. After that it's go time!! What I love most: -Everyone is welcomed: doesn't matter your fitness level. Even pregnant women are getting on the Versa and killing it!! Aka me! -The class is only 30minutes. Which means you're putting in work to get the most out of the climb. And don't worry if you can't bring the motivation your instructor will with upbeat playlists and words of encouragement. -Every instructor at Summit Society is super knowledgeable and brings so much to the table. Whether you have questions about health and wellness or technique or class schedules don't fret you'll get answers and so much more. -My favorite instructor thus far is Angela aka Gomez. Her classes are always fire! She brings the heat and makes sure we're all putting in work to get the most out of our sessions. Her playlists, positive feedback and dance moves keeps you coming back to get better and better! -Umm did I fail to mention how sweet the cozy studio is?!! Be prepared to forget about the daily grind because once you step into Summit Society you're greeted with an awesome LED light system, killer sounds and sick 3D ceiling treatment. Your only focus will be losing yourself to the beat and the climb. Go check it out and don't forget #togetherweclimb

Walking up to the door with my Brivo Pass up and ready, I was having trouble with the wifi and it wouldnt connect me to unlock the door. As I mess with my phone for about 3/4 mins there are two young workers at the front desk just watching. No offer to open the door or even a hey are you having some trouble. Eventually,I get the door open and the young man asks me If I have ID. The owners are stricted here. Well, for one I am little annoyed considering I dont bring much into the gym with me. So, No my Id was in the trunk of my car.Now considering I was having trouble with the door I am going to be late for this session. He explained that the app which is what you would normally use to access everything. He says anyone can get on the app and just come in so he needed to see ID! Well thats the craziest thing I had heard all day. Being my 23rd session but first at this location I have never heard such a thing or been treated like I wasnt a customer. I mean who just tries to workout at a gym they dont have access to. Oh well! Glad I know now. This location is NOT for me. The way they looked at me trying to access the door instead of helping me. Rude! Also reading a few other reviews this Ownership is over the top. so many extra rules that they only apply to certain people. I couldn't even concentrate on my workout I was late and treated with very little respect. It's a shame 2023 and some businesses will still never get it!
