If Charles is representative of what the whole company has to offer, I'm extremely impressed. The main switch to our house was not working properly. We had no electricity and were desperate. After attempting to contact multiple companies, including a company through our warranty company, on a TUESDAY, we were unsuccessful. Somehow, the universe pointed me to contact Act Electric. Charles picked up immediately and asked me a bunch of questions to help him determine how to proceed. He had an open appointment about 2-3 hours later during the same day. We took that appointment. We had another friend come the same day, and I told Charles that he didn't have to come anymore. However, he asked a bunch of questions again, and I don't know what made him ask, but after speaking with my husband, we made an offer for him to come anyway, just in case the friend was not able to fix the problem. Charles agreed. The friend could not fix our problem so when Charles came, it was nice to have a second opinion. He jiggled on a few things, and he was somehow able to reset the switch. It was like magic. I think this shows his level of knowledge. He was also able find the part that was needed based simply on photos I sent him through text. I was extremely impressed by how easy it was for me....another sign of his high level of skill and also professionalism! I had him come back another day with Aaron (sp?) to replace the part. They were both kind, professional, prompt, punctual, and got the job done. They had a couple hurdles that they easily maneuvered. I have no knowledge of what's normal pricing for this type of thing, but I felt that every dollar I spent was 100% worth it. Charles saved me a few hundred on a part, and I felt that his expertise was worth the money. It was a lot of money, but it's like going to the doctor for their expertise instead of Dr. Google. Worth it. Thank you Charles and Act Electric.

My personal experience did not go as well. The condition my belongings were returned to me was disheartening and made the whole experience very stressful. There was much damage done to my property and some itemswent missing. The Resolution Fire and Flood's way of remedying the matter was to say to me "just name your price and I'll cut you a check". How cavalier of them! From a consumer's perspective, how tasteless to suggest my personalbelongings (some of them, of sentimental value were reduced to mere dollars, problem solved ! I did not appreciate how my belongings were handled while in their care. Do not tell a customer "I'll cut you a check" for damaged belongings as if they have no value to the owner. My fiance came to the door and was very nice (proof on ring video camera) as the "not-a-salesman" talked about how the government is pushing clean energy and he isn't selling anything, just sharing a report. My fiance told him we are not interested in solar and he agreed saying he would never recommend buying solar (again, proof on camera). He asked if it was because of having to lease and having liens on the house. My fiance told him we are trying to work and we are not interested and asked him to leave (still recording on ring camera). The guy continues to talk about how there is a new government program where you don't pay for panels. My fiance said "no thank you" and closed the door. The guy continues to knock on the window saying "excuse me" (ring camera still rolling). I came to the door and repeated that we are working from home, we have clear signage that we don't want to be disturbed and asked him to leave. He. Kept. Talking. My fiance said we would call the police if he didn't leave and the guy laughed as I closed the door. He then stood on our porch shouting profanities. Saying my fiance was a rude a*****e and we were f*****g miserable people (again, ring camera is still rolling). I came out of the house at this point telling him to leave and stop harassing us. He walked to the sidewalk and continued to berate me with name calling and profanity while also pointing out that he is no longer on our property so he can do as he pleases. At the risk of being repetitive, I'll say the ring camera is STILL recording. We called the police but he left before they arrived, shouting the same nonsense over his shoulder as he walked down the street. The police advised that after being asked to leave, continuing to knock was illegal trespass. They also advised that claiming he isn't selling anything while also representing a for-profit company in hopes of sharing info that will result in a sale is still considered solicitation. What is it with solar companies and their complete lack of respect for boundaries? How do you think that ignoring my clearly posted signage and interrupting my workday will make me want to trust you or hire you? Then to go above and beyond with profanity and name calling? Absolutely deplorable business.
