Unfortunately, they didn't seem to have a restroom. Highly recommend for the coffee and sweets P.s; noticed some folks had a croissant sandwich while we were enjoying our coffee outside. This market is newer (still, been here for decades, I think.) Plenty of parking. Open reasonable hours (till 7 most days.) Good produce, good butcher, good bakery. Lots of interesting dry goods, much of it local and/or Amish. And, of course, their famous canned meats. Turkey, chicken, pork, beef. Low salt versions. Big cans and little ones. It's a little town me and my fiancee visited just to get outta dodge for the weekend. We were debating if we should go out to eat for the night or if we should stop by the grocery and grab some stuff for the airbnb and stay in. Decided on the grocery so stopped here due to the intriguing name! I've never seen a grocery & hardware store in one! I wasn't too hopeful, but .... the grocery part was actually very impressive! This little place almost has everything you could want! It has deli type packaged foods and produce on the way in, drinks to the right (including alcohol) snacks and chips n' such in the middle then fridged packaged meats to the back right and more drinks to the back. We ended up grabbing a bunch of stuff and having a decent night in! Prices were pretty ok and selections were pretty ok! Found a little clearance rack in teh back that had some pork rines and bugles, among some others, which were a great find! REALLY cheap clearance, which is awesome! The older checker lady was so sweet and such a quaint pleasure to encounter compared to the usual busy non-chalant city associates I'm used to. I DEF feel like if we visit this area again we'll be wanting to stop at this cute little place again! :P

FULL DISCLOSURE: I stole a loaf of bread from this store. It's true, folks, no lie…read more I was around 7 or 8 years old when the family went to Cheese Haven to buy some things for the picnic we had planned later that afternoon. I was told to hold onto a loaf of French bread as they looked around. As it were, I quickly got separated from my mother and father and so with bread in hand, I walked out the door looking for them. I found my father outside having a smoke, and when he saw that loaf of bread, well, he wasn't very happy about it, but then again, he didn't make me take it back in either. So, many decades later: * The statute of limitations has passed. * I've made peace with my guilty conscience. * I stopped in again, a few weeks ago What I found was the same fun, kitschy, touristy place that it used to be. It's full of some things you need and some things you'll just want. They've got an impressive deli with all kinds of smoked meats and cheeses. Of course, all that needs to be washed down with some of their eclectic selection of sodas. Looking for something more adult? They have a huge selection of local Ohio beers and wines. If you're into the sweet and salty, there's plenty of candy and snacks. If you like spice, you'll find a surprisingly good selection of hot sauces too. Their prices are tourist haunt reasonable, so the cash register tally shouldn't be much of a surprise. Cheese Haven is a solid locally owned business that promotes Ohio based products with some good local stuff from all over the area. It'll delight and excite the younger ones and give some nostalgic feelings to the older ones. In any case, it's a lot of fun and a delicious stop while you're in the area. For me? Easily, 5 stars.
