I recently had my bridal shower at Down Thyme Cafe and it was perfect in every way. Terri Cassel was amazing to work with. She responds quickly to every email and flexible to meet in person. She helped me plan the most beautiful and wonderful bridal shower I could've asked for. The food was served hot and fresh. The mimosa and coffee bar was definitely a crowd favorite. Anyone looking to have a bridal shower should definitely consider Down Thyme. All of the servers were so kind and cleared tables and plates for my guests. I couldn't have asked for a more special day.

This is the perfect coffee shop for me. It's not foofy Bohemian like I expetience at a lot of local coffee shops (especially on the coasts). Yet, it offers a relaxed atmosphere with an at-home feeling cum small cafe decor. The tables are well spaced so that you don't have to weave your way through cramped quarters. The service is very friendly and efficient and the prices are pretty reasonable from my survey of the menu. I'm sure most people come in for the coffee and pastries. The sweet treats did look quite good and I have to say that my Americano was also very good. Their highlight seems to be their Saturday morning "colossal" cinnamon rolls (only offered Saturday after 9 AM if I understood correctly) that need to be pre-ordered if you want to be guaranteed to get your fill. However, we were there for lunch and that aspect of their offerings should not be overlooked. My wife had a Caprese Quiche which she enjoyed very much. It had pesto, mozzarella and tomatoes and was low carb (without crust). This was almost conceived for her it seemed because she loves anything that has the "caprese" combo. I had a Spicy Turkey Panini, which combined turkey, bacon, provolone, tomato and sriracha. It was accompanied by chips and a pickle spear making it a perfect lunch. Their facilities were comfortable and made a great place to sit and chill while my wife walked across the street to shop for a while. This was my first time in Fremont in quite a long time. I had visited the Hayes House about 20 or 25 years ago and have not been back to Fremont proper since then. This place will be on our radar and may induce us to veer into town center next time we are close.

I really enjoyed our morning coffee and bagel here. I got an americano and it was delicious. The inside is decorated nicely and is very relaxing. It's very nice to have a place like this in Fremont.

    Egg Croissant Sandwich

I ordered the egg Croissant Sandwich this morning and it took less than 10 minutes. Came with bacon, egg, and cheese. The place is very clean and it made me want to sit down and eat even though I had a pick-up order. Nice big windows in the front for a good street view and the people behind the counter were pleasant.

    Honey bee latte (honey,vanilla,real cinnamon)

Inconsistent with iced lattes :( I always get the same thing and lately it never tastes the same.

Nice sandwich, but the staff was a bit unwelcoming. One girl in the glasses was super nice though.

Stopped in for a quick coffee while driving for work. I got a honeybee latte with almond milk and it was very good.

Rough around the edges. Cappuccino was ghastly. Breakfast order was incorrect. Some of the clientele were borderline intimidating.

From the second we walked in until we left, he kept staring at me. Not just the occasional glance, but repeatedly looking over with what felt like a really hostile expression. It got to the point where I couldn't stop noticing it, and it made the whole dinner awkward. I obviously can't say what he was thinking or why he was doing it, but it made me feel very unwelcome. The frustrating part is that everyone else was great. The hostess, our server, and the kitchen staff were all friendly and professional. They did a great job. Unfortunately, because of that experience, we won't be back. If you're queer, trans, or just don't want to feel like you're being watched through your entire meal, I'd choose somewhere else.

Location: 413 W State Street, Fremont Ohio…read more Open for breakfast and lunch, this is a great diner serving up the expected breakfast fare (eggs, waffles, pancakes) but also the best potatoes I've ever had. The potatoes are thinly sliced and crispy, sold as 1/4, 1/2, or full plate - we had plain but I'm having serious regrets not trying their 'trash' potatoes - essentially loaded. Next time! The omelettes are billed as 3-egg, but they are huge - I barely finished half. Served with choice of toast, 5 of us shared a full plate of potatoes to go with our selections. The weekend special had a Latin flare - chorizo scrambled eggs, beans, and homemade tortillas. (I chose an omelette instead raising my FOMO count to 2.) The lunch menu is inviting - half pound burgers, and many other features to choose from including salads and even fried bologna sandwiches. This is a nice location in downtown Fremont and the restaurant is simply appointed. Clean and comfortable with generous portions, perfectly prepared food, and the sweetest staff! Outstanding experience.
