One in June and one this past Thursday at the end of July. Both technicians said they could do the job. First technician ghosted us and asked if we wanted to pull permits or not - a red flag given the scope of the work. Second technician said they would have an estimate for us in 48 hours and four days passed. Both contractors were late despite three hour windows. Second contractor was standoffish when he came by nearly two months after the one who ghosted us. Finally called their office myself thinking that maybe their was miscommunication or that they weren't taking my wife seriously and finally got a person only for them to tell me they weren't licensed or didn't have the ability to do it with little explanation. Asked if they knew a person who could and they said no. There are a lot of red flags so proceed at your own discretion but they apparently decided they didn't want the big job we were offering despite leading us on in an atmosphere where material prices are fluctuating by the month. We didn't even get to hire them and they already cost us money by wasting our time, the general contractors time, the architect's time, and the structural engineer's time. My wife will also be leaving a review with her experience.

Before getting started, he checked my chimney and informed me that the flue was already clean (previous owners possibly had it cleaned), so I only needed a little work on the firebox. Miguel took the time to inspect my entire fireplace and even went up on the roof to point out some areas that needed attention. He genuinely cares about his customers and provided great tips for future maintenance. I was really impressed by his honesty--he decided not to charge me for a full cleaning since it wasn't needed! It's hard to find reliable and honest service these days, but Miguel is definitely one of the good ones. I'll be calling him back when I'm ready to tackle those other issues!

We felt misguided and did not feel we receive reasonable care. The owner is based in a different…read morelocation and hires out uninformed staff who struggle to problem solve. Though I do think we probably would have had better care with Patrick, the owner, we didn't feel like they did their best to try to make amends with our situation. We felt taken advantage of. When their maskless installers came, the log was broken, the high altitude kit was missing (we are located in Idyllwild, which they knew), trim for the interior wall to line the vent didn't fit right, the flex pipe to connect the stove to mainline was not long enough, and the remote was missing. Additionally, the roofer mentioned that the helmet installers had cut way too big a hole and would need a custom flashing, which wouldn't even guarantee that the roof wouldn't leak in the next two years. Around Nov 15th, the temperature got low enough for us to finally use the stove. We noticed it was not firing up properly. Therefore we called the local authorized heating company nearby since we knew, based on past experience, that Hemet would be slow to respond given our prior experience with the . They let us know that the adjustments were not made properly. We had to pay $150 for this person to come out. We continued to use the stove and learned that the stove was not heating up the home sufficiently. Our cabin is 500 sq ft. Based on our conversation with their staff, they validated that the stove would adequately heat our space. After calls and emails, it took them a month to reply. They said because the stove had been worked on by another party, they were unable to accept the return and tried to upsell us on a blower instead. Ultimately, we had to replace the stove purchased from Hemet with a bigger stove which we bought from Idyllwild Heat. My suggestion is, if you live on the hill, go to Idyllwild Heat instead; they are very knowledge, reasonable and personable people. Stay away from this place.

They fixed the issues, reprogrammed remote, cleaned out carbon deposits, cleaned glass inside and out and as a finishing touch, they added material to simulate burning embers. It looks amazing! The two service people were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very personable. It doesn't get better than that. Well done!
