Brought my truck in yesterday, oil change was fast, I mentioned did u take a look at the tail light? the man at desk said, you didn't say that. Are you telling me I that I am lying? The BIG problem is when scheduling you don't ask my name, number, or what I drive. Do you write ANYTHING down? maybe if you did, you would remeber specific requests. Very disgusted with service, Is it because I am a female? I ask a question, I get a blank stare, or a one word answer. Thanks a lot guys.. going somewhere else next time...

We heard a bang and a scrape so immediately pulled over in to the first parking lot, which happened to be Vaughn's Automotive. We called the 24 hour emergency number and Matt came right over to help us! He patched us back together so we could safely drive until we can get a more full repair. He was competent, he was kind, he was helpful, and he was funny ... he took a bad situation and made it as good as we could've hoped for. This is a great and honest and kind man! You can feel confident about placing your trust in him! I drove from Rockford to visit my daughter and thanks to Matt, we still made it to line dancing!!

Matt, the owner, picked me up at home, took me to the car, ran the codes, and figured out the issue was a loose air intake duct. He tightened that and my car was good to go! If I had gone to anyone else, like a BMW dealership, I'm sure they would have taken advantage and overcharged me for a simple fix. I'll be having all my cars worked on at Vaughn's. He's earned a lifetime customer. Best experience I've ever had with a mechanic... Honest and dependable! That's what you want in a mechanic shop and that's exactly what Matt and Vaughn's delivers!

The Service Manager said I could make an appointment online or he would make the appointment. I ended the call. Do I want to work with a dealership that is clueless as McGrath? I had the opportunity to work with Ryan and George when unexpectedly having to purchase a new car…read more They both made this an easy process. There was a little hiccup although Ryan quickly resolved and even had a driver send a car from Marion to Dubuque for me! Ryan provided information and stayed true to his word - which is refreshing! The only real problem I had was Clay (finance) really pushed an extended warranty. My father and I had said no multiple times. He even brought in another person to try and sell the warranty. I understand trying to sell you something, although this was a little too pushy!! Even with that, I would definitely recommend anyone buying a car to see Ryan and George at McGrath! Overall, great experience!

He told me he lived across from Road Ranger in Dubuque. My girlfriend and I got there and realized the car was actually for sale at this dealership. Overall the car, a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, looked good. We took it for a test drive and it seemed like the transmission was shifting very hard. We got back to the dealership and I told Randy overall we liked the car but we were in the process of moving 1000 miles away so I would feel way more comfortable if he would let us take the car to get a used car inspection. He tried getting me to take it to "his" guy down the street, but I said no that I wanted to take it to the Mitsubishi dealership in town. He eventually said that was OK and I said I would be back closer to the appointment time. Well about an hour before the appointment Randy called me and said after thinking about it for a while he didn't feel "comfortable" with me taking it to the factory dealership. He spouted off something about a bad experience with getting keys made or something. He then tried getting me to take it to "his" guy. I said no I refuse to take it there that I need to take it to a place that I decide on. Well he flat out said no and that was that. If I were you I would avoid Randy's Auto Plaza at all costs. If he believed in the vehicles he sold he would let you take the car anywhere for a used car inspection.

All three parties dealt with this. All are trustworthy and told me it needed a minor repair like a muffler. At the time I thought maybe the college driver had let someone work on it so I paid it. My mistake as I didn't take time to think it thru. I know the folks I bought it from were honest and long time friends. Big A lied.
