Ordered 2 Lake Perch Dinners from Barraco's in Evergreen Park thru Grub Hub. The dinner description says "8oz with tartar sauce and lemon. Served with choice of side, French fries and a roll". I DID NOT receive the fries or the tartar sauce. I called Barraco's and the girl that answered the phone said the the order did not say anything about a side and since I ordered thru a 3rd party she could not help me. Will not be ordering from Barraco's ever again!!! read more

It's been a while since we've stopped through. It's Mothers Day today & since the EP location burnt down, plus it seemed like they just stopped caring. We haven't been. We were at TOP NOTCH BURGER yesterday & we saw this Beverly location was open so we said "let's give it another try." The dining area on the main floor, 8 tables with a bar. Pretty small. I ordered the Italian Sub didn't feel like pasta or pizza. I ordered a " bowl" of what the server called "meatball soup", for starters. Turns out it was Italian Wedding soup. Well I was served a cup, it was bland & tasted like minestrone soup with pieces of chicken in it-plus it was "Luke" warm. I gotta have my soup HOT! So then the sandwich comes & Dude it doesn't even have Italian dressing on it-it also had regular deli ham. You're really not supposed to screw up a simple samich. My side order was mashed potatoes-.My wife ordered Angel hair pasta w/chicken-it did look yummy. My son ordered Linguini w/Shrimp. Yeah-I gave it another try. I've been a customer of the B for years, it just so happens that the other day I was using their online home delivery. Since they rebuilt they said would not except my credit card since I've never purchased anything from them. I had to question in my mind what kind of operation is this that will not except a customers credit card over the phone. It was my conception to order and have food delivered tonight and not to go outside . With no cash on hand now I have to go to the ATM so instead of going to the ATM. I appear at the restaurant and paid for my food with my credit card Someone making minimum-wage just put me through unreasonable changes for nothing. To make matters worse they neglected to add my fries and incorporate the sausage in my deep dish pizza nothing but cheese. A whole lot of cheese. read more

I am very displeased with the service I received from your establishment this evening. I order from Barracos at least once a week. I have never had a problem with the food/ service before. I have always raved about it actually. However, tonight I was extremely disappointed from the service I received. I was not disappointed with the young lady (whose name I did not catch) that let me know she was working dispatch but would help me with the issue. I placed an order online at 9:15 pm. To receive a call at 9:18pm saying that the order was placed twice and they just wanted to make sure that I only wanted one of the two orders, which is correct I only wanted one but the website had a glitch. After waiting an hour & half for the pizza, I decided to call and see what the issue was. I was then informed (after I had to call) that the ovens were down. I understand things happen, but I was not notified about this issue until I placed the call. I was then told that the card was voided and they needed my information again. This was the 3rd time now. Please note I was charged 3 times I have the emails from your company saying "paid in full". I gave the young lady over the phone my information where she informed me that my total with a discount for the inconvenience was 20something dollars (please see attached emails saying $30.57, $30.57, $23.57 as well as a screen shot from my bank with $30.62, $30.57 $30.57). I then let the young lady know over the phone that I need the "voided" statements from your credit card machine for my records. I was assured MULTIPLE times that they were sent with the driver along with my food for delivery. However when I asked the driver about these voids he just said "I don't know I just deliver the food" and promptly left. I had to call back a 2nd time and I was on the phone for 29 minutes since she said the manager on duty "left", I understand that this is not her fault/out of her control since she is no the manager and needed to get approval/ find the copy of the voided receipts that I originally requested. While on the phone with her after she let me know I could come and them up, I let her know that the food FINALLY arrived 2 hours later & was completely cold all the way through. I then was placed on hold again, since I requested FRESH/HOT food, as any person would after waiting over 2 hours, she let me know that I could in fact come pick up the fresh food as well as the receipts. Please recognize the young lady that was on the phone taking the phone orders as she was very polite and helpful during this horrifically unnecessary ordeal. However whoever was picking up the line when I was on hold waiting for the polite young lady to return, I was very displeased with the second girls attitude/ tone of voice and did not appreciate it at all. read more

This is probably the worst customer service I have had on a repeated basis from a restaurant. The first time the driver didn't have a machine that worked, the second time I gave this business another chance and they messed up my pizza. I put my order in online and specifically took meatballs and bacon off with the x in the check box. My pizza came with everything on it. The smell made me sick. Not to mention, the customer service is trash. They don't hold themselves accountable at all. They charged me more for the pizza they messed up and later stated they would give me a store credit. Upon telling them that I would no longer be ordering from them they stated that they couldn't give me my $5 credit back to my card. Bad customer service!!! We were 8 people that had to fit at one table, waited almost an hr to get settled in. They keep asking if we are ready to order, had to tell them that i want to be comfortable before i order something. We were not provided with utensils, had to ask for that. I was so excited to have Barraco's in Beverly. I have been a faithful and loyal customer since 2010. Today, however marks the end of my patronage with #Barracos. The customer service in the Beverly location is horrendous. The "manager" is rude, has no people skills, and does not know how to speak to customers (maybe it's just the Black customers, because you know..we Blacks ain't supposed to be up on the hill). I let the first instance slide about two months ago...I refuse to let this one go! And to add insult to injury, I posted my dissatisfaction with their customer service in their Facebook page and it was deleted. FOOD SPOILED!!!!! -5 Stars I dined at this location on July 30th around 4:30pm with my daughter and husband and the service was excellent (Paul was awesome!) At first taste the food was good as well. We brought plenty of leftovers home because we had bread, soup, salad and appetizers and didn't eat much of our entrees. The server commented that our bags looked more like take out than leftovers. Later that evening we all warmed up small portions with no issues. On Monday (the very next day) I warmed up what was left for lunch around 12:00 pm for my 7 year old and 1 year old niece. Unbeknownst to me the food had completely SOURED!!!!! All dishes were alfredo based. I finely chopped some of my daughters fettuccine alfredo for the baby and my daughter fixed her own plate but threw it away soon after (fettuccine alfredo is her favorite) I was confused....you couldn't smell it at first but, when I tasted it....I wanted to be sick!!!! I heated my dish, shrimp alfredo and it was the same. I asked my daughter about her food and she said it tasted disgusting thats why she tossed it!!! All of it had been refrigerated and should not have gone bad that soon. There was no way the food spoiled that fast unless it was already bad or ingredients were to close to expiration. Heavy cream is often used in those dishes and it will spoil fast. Obviously the chef had not smelled it or checked the date on it. I left the bowl I heated my food in out on the counter and you could smell it as you walk into our kitchen. I wanted to save it so my husband could smell it when he got home. Our bill was $120 for 2 adults and a child!!! We hardly touched the entrees at the restaurant so we completely wasted our money. I called my husband at work and his story was the same! I called the restaurant and was put on hold numerous times before explaining my issue to Alexis the woman who answered the phone. She transferred me to the dining manager Patty who quickly got me off the phone with a very bland apology and never offering a refund or any type of compensation. She didn't ask for my name, number or email address to contact me at all. I was calling to warn them so other customers wouldn't be affected but I felt like I was being blown off. I was initially concerned for others and I still am thats the reason I'm writing this but, the response from management totally pissed me off! So I am warning all future customers to beware of the Alfredo cream sauce and to not expect management to give a crap once you've spent your money!!! If my family gets sick this will have to be taken further than a bad review! Again, Paul our server was absolutely amazing, kind and personable. The best thing about this place is the pizza. Everything else I have ordered from there has been subpar. The other day I ordered online a double hamburger, two orders of garlic bread with cheese, a loaded mashed potato, and an order of chicken tenders. What I received was a double hamburger, Mashed potatoes with two slices of American cheese, and a sub sandwich. I tried calling to speak to the manager and I was hung up on. I decided to go up there. When I arrived, I spoke to the manager and he was very accommodating and that is the only reason why I would still eat from this restaurant. I waited about 15 minutes for my food. The chicken tenders were overcooked and tough. The garlic bread had wayyy too much cheese. I would recommend no cheese. The potatoes were good but not what my daughter expected loaded mashed potatoes would be. The double hamburger for my mom was OK. If I could give no stars I would! I decided to go to lunch with my sister and my daughter today after church. We made it to the restaurant around 2pm after church and it was completely empty. We were the only diners there. After we seated ourselves a waitress came to the table about 5 minutes later. She brung bread and water. We placed an order for appetizers which was for the cheese sticks and macaroni bites. The appetizers were cold and dried out. The cheese stick were hard and the the mozzarella inside was hard and tough. The cheese bites were dry. Then the salads came out. The salad was very nasty. Nothing was fresh, the cucumbers were dried out the lettuce was old. We called the waitress over to the table and let her know that weren't pleased with the appetizers or the salads and at this point we would like to cancel our order and leave. She went and got the general manager. He came over to the table and asked us what was wrong with the food. I told him the salad was nasty and he claimed it was made fresh, I showed him the cheese inside of the cheese sticks and the macaroni bites and he said everything was fresh. Then he proceed to say that if we didn't want to be there we didn't have to say that the food was nasty. I instantly got pissed and told him that i have the right to not like food if it doesn't work for my taste. He said that there are 7 locations and all of the food was fresh and good and blah blah blah. He was very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. He still charged us for the appetizers because he was already preparing the entrees and would take a "loss" on the food that was currently on the grill. We paid for the appetizers and left. I will never dine here again and I don't recommend anyone else to dine here either! Very poor customer service and the quality of the food is not fresh although they claim it to be. Save your money because they will still charge you anyway. If you don't want to ruin family dinner or lunch with friends don't come here. read more

I am extremely disappointed in this establishment!! I have been a loyal customer for over 1yr now have ordered from here over countless times. Today I placed my order and advised "jesse" the manager that i would need change for $100 bill, she then informed me that due to the "area" that I reside in (which is 8min from the restaurant) she could not send any driver with change, my total was $36 and I always tip my drivers $10 or more! She then continued to advise me that in no way did it matter to her how many times I had ordered from them because in her opinion I don't live in the best area! Not only do I feel she was completely out of line to judge the area where I live and raise kids in but to discriminate solely based off of her opinion was borderline racist!! I am so unbelievably disappointed in Barraco's!! I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward. Ordered around 11pm, on Wednesday. Normally have had decent experiences in the past. I ordered a large Hawaiian pizza, a garden salad with bleu cheese dressing and two pieces of tiramisu. I did not expect the pizza to be so massive, generally a large would be roughly 16 slices or so this pizza box take up half a pool table. The pizza was good just a little too much cheese. The real letdown was the salad and dessert. The salad was mostly lettuce and spinach and just a few veggies on top.. disappointing because I ordered garden. The dressing came in a sealed bag and when I ate it I nearly vomited. I don't know if it was expired or got to warm in the bag but it was seriously so bad it made my dog gag when he smelled it. Threw out the entire now ruined salad. The tiramisu was almost completely frozen and lacked flavor. The cake was hard not spongey at all and was overall bland and unexciting. As far as customer service goes I wish I had been informed on how big a large actually is. Other than that would recommend.. only for pizza. read more

Visited this new barracos on 95th street in the Beverly neighborhood for the fist time and I was NOT impressed at all. Sadly the two starts I'm giving for the review are only for the good service and nice looking restaurant. The pizza tasted terrible! We ordered a deep dish pizza (recommended by the staff). We waited 30 minutes and expected a scorching hot pizza, but sadly the pizza was only hot in the outer crust. The middle of the pizza was barely warm. This made me think they popped a frozen pizza in the oven. The sausage didn't taste fresh at all. My husband and I expected a more authentic taste and better quality ingredients. Don't think we will be returning to this restaurant. read more

I am a frequent patron of the location that was in Evergreen, a beautiful place where staff is friendly and the atmosphere is family-like. I have had some fantastic times at the Evergreen location, I have invited friends and they have come back on their own time and time again. This new Beverly location pales in comparison to Evergreen, hell even the Mt.Greenwood location.....I walk in with my friends ( we are all various shades of African beauty) immediately, the chics in the front are like ...ummm you need something? Excuse me, I'm coming to dine in, we would like to have a seat. STRIKE 1. We sit at the bar without a hello or welcome in sight.... we wait WITHOUT menus of any kind for a solid 8 minutes. During this time, 2 young ladies one blonde, one sandy-haired come in and sit at the bar. We are STILL waiting for menus, hello, goodbye or whatever. When the bartender arrives, she immediately services the 2 White ladies as if we were not even there! The hostess who saw us come in and didn't say $h!t to us, also didn't let Bambi know that we had been waiting for her. So the bartender makes their drinks and slowly makes her way to the Supremes (us). We get menus but our appetite is gone and our desire to have martinis...completely dried up. My one friend was over it quickly and stormed out. The rest of us sat in dismay trying to make since of what the hell was happening. Yes, it's Beverly which I work in each and every summer and I know many community members as well as business members of this very community. It is a very diverse community which is why we sat at a loss for words this day. In all honesty, had their been a WHITES ONLY sign, that would've made our experience full circle. I am disgusted by the service, starting from the first step we took in the place. As we left, the bartender started apologizing profusely... too late Toots, we are over this stink hole. In 2017, I'm not taking this racist $h!t from anyone----I'm American, I work hard and I pay these high-a$$ taxes just like Becky's privileged a$$. If I could give Barraco's NO stars I would. As myself, 3 of my friends and our young kids started our Sunday to a fun filled day at the park; we decided to opt for a mutual location to dine in as the children wanted pizza, we chose Barraco's in Beverly. As we entered about 6pm there was a sign 'closed for private party'. My friend asked an employee how long the wait would be and the response was 10 minutes, as there were patrons on the patio not associated with the private party. So we decided to put our names on the list to wait. But then another employee came out and said the wait would be 30 minutes. We still decided to wait. In the midst of our wait the private party was leaving and two tables became available in the patio area, we were then told that the dining hall was booked for the day do to previous reservations. When asked what time the restaurant closed the response was 10pm but stop taking patrons at 9:15pm. My friends and I with the kids toted out of the restaurant and decided to take our business elsewhere. As we ended our night we rode passed Barraco's at 9:06pm there were hardly any cars in the parking lot and ONLY 2 tables of patrons on the patio. I then made a call to make a reservation for the next day and was told that the dining room manager had to call me back to confirm the reservation. I have never heard such as thing. I am appalled and will not be back to ANY of the Barraco's location. I was a frequent delivery/ take out customer that wanted to enjoy the ambiance of the fairly new location which is in MY neighborhood. It's so sad to say in 2017 there is still discrimination. And wonder why we frequent places that continually disrespects the minority culture. read more

I patronized this restaurant when it was in Oak Lawn and was eager to try this location. I visited this restaurant 6/24/17 around 1:00 p.m., with one adult guest. The restaurant was nice and not crowded. My guest ordered fried shrimp for an appetizer and we shared a medium thin half sausage/half pepperoni pizza. The food arrived hot. I only had one of the shrimp, which were obviously frozen shrimp. The pizza was as good as I remembered the pizza at the Oak Lawn location. However, when the pizza arrived, it was propped up on a pizza stand, as most restaurants do that serve pizza. About 15 minutes after the pizza arrived, the pizza slid off the stand and fell to the floor! Our very nice waiter rushed over and announced that this had never happened before (it had never happened to us either - anywhere!), while scooping the pizza off the floor. An apology was not offered and we did not make a big deal out of it, although we had not eaten half of the pizza. As a result, my guest ordered a small pizza to go. When we received the bill, to our surprise, the bill had not been supplemented for the pizza falling off the stand onto the floor. When I asked for the manager, she was also nice and indicated that the waiter told her what happened, and she agreed, that pizza had never fallen off of a stand before (I guess there is a first time for everything). I asked the manager for an accommodation for the inconvenience, as one was not offered. The manager said that she would look into it and took the bill and walked away, never offering an apology. The waiter returned with the new bill and handed it to me without saying a word. The manager, who never returned, charged us half the price of the new pizza order. We did not receive a discount for the pizza that fell onto the floor and we did not challenge it. I am not sure how long this location has been open, but the staff and managers need customer service training. My rating would be higher if we were treated better for the pizza sliding off the stand and onto the floor. Overall, the experience was not good and I do not know if I will give them another chance. read more
