Disappointed in the way they conducted themselves. I went recently and I went inside to check in. They let me choose my table on the patio. We were waiting for 10 mins and no one showed to even ask us what we wanted to drink. A (white) family shows up and they came in from the patio entrance. They ordered their drinks. The waitress passed us by and didn't bother to even acknowledge us and she had 2 extra menus in her hand that she could've given us. The family's drinks arrived and they proceeded to go ahead with their order. We still hadn't been served by anyone at that point and this was 15 mins in. (Mind you, they never went inside to check in. So how would they know they were even outside waiting to begin with?) We finally get another waiters attention and he says that he "didn't realize we hadn't been served and would we like to order our drinks now?". We politely declined and left. I just wanted to grab a bite to eat, and I was met with disgusting racism. The kicker is I usually order from them on Uber Eats, but I guess I'm not good enough to dine in their restaurants in person. read more

Just drive to one of the other locations to avoid disappointment. I've been a patron with the restaurant since 2010 at least, and never had an issue or a complaint until this location opened and my deliveries were routed due to proximity. I never complained when items were slightly burned or missing as we know it happens. During my pregnancy I increased my orders because my little one enjoyed the food to the point the drivers knew me as I had/have become a regular. However my issue is with my recent orders and particularly the last one. I always order the chicken finger dinner as my child still likes them for a treat. Well it comes with 6 strips and I received 4. When I called about the issue thinking it was mistaken for the appetizer I was informed due to the size they decided to only give me 4 and was told by the manager they go by the pound. Well this is news to me after several plus years of purchasing this item as well as the website giving the actual count. So either update your website or speak with your supplier because I'm being charged the price of one and receiving the price of another. Needless to say we'll miss the delivery drivers and its convenience but I'll be driving to the Oaklawn location from now on. read more

Terrible customer service and the entitled managers and delivery drivers complain about everything that anger them. We got blacklisted because the manager doesn't like the fact that we change our phone numbers over the past 5-6 years and that this time it was inconvenient for the driver to manually enter in a credit card number off of a temporary digital card that I have issued. In the past we have had pizza mess ups from the restaurant and we kindly gave that back to the restaurant. The restaurant staff are competent to deal with the service industry and take their anger out on the food and customers. read more

I love Barraco's pizza. They are definitely top 5 when it comes to pizza in Chicago. Their thin crust pizza is amazing. Me & my family have been eating at Barraco's for years (mainly the location on 95th street) and that wont change anytime soon. My go to is the thin crust with pepperoni, bacon & ground beef. I'm totally disappointed. I ordered a pizza to pick up. I order from this Barracos in Beverly on 95th Western for delivery an average 2 times a week. When I called the order in for small puzza, the hostess repeated it to me a few times to confirm the toppings. I looked at my receipt, the order was correct. Unfortunately, when we got home, my daughter announced there was meat on a pizza...my husband cautioned her not to eat it, because it could be pork. He tried it, it was. She has never eaten pork, so I'm glad she caught it. It could have made her sick. When I called to request a replaced pizza...I asked if it could be delivered..and upgrade to a medium for my inconvenience and be delivered. I was at home and settled at this point. Again, I order delivery and spend more at Barracos than any other restaurant over the last 10 plus years. The manager told me they were already remaking the pizza. They cannot give me a medium. And that he was supposed to charge me for the delivery...but agreed to at least send a new one out....smh.....disgusted and dissapointed...just to think I just told my mama today they were my go to in the neighborhood for pizza and food....time to keep it moving!!! I'm a big fan of Barraco's on 111th, so when Mom wanted to try this new location, I didn't object. We were there yesterday around 4:00 pm. The first thing I noticed is, the parking lot is tiny. As there weren't many people in the restaurant, I'm guessing that what parking wasn't taken by delivery trucks was taken by employees, leaving very few spaces for customers. This is a bad sign; what are they going to do when they open the banquet room? Next thing was, it's noisy. Again, not many people there. Looking around, every surface in the place was hard, not the sort of thing that absorbs sound. Even with the restaurant almost empty, it was impossible to hold a conversation. Very not like 111th. Service was good, food as always was top-notch. No complaints there. Then I decided to use the ladies' room. I should say lady's room - it's only for one person. It's fairly big for one, so I'm wondering why there was no counter on which to put my purse; there's not even a hook on the wall, which can be an issue during coat season. The other problem was that the toilet paper holder is a sort of post on the floor, with a bar sticking out to hold the paper. Problem is, when you go to get some paper off the roll, the roll goes flying, landing on the floor. Ick. Barraco's, you can, and should, do better. Three reasons not to go back: Nearly non-existent parking, insane noise level, and not-great washroom facilities. read more

I miss the Evergreen Park location so much that I decided to give this one a try. I can't understand why it's so completely different? I had a medium pizza delivered last night for $20. I usually can eat a full one, I only ate 4 pieces and was so disappointed. Pizza was bad. Crust gummy, sauce bland, cheese tasteless. My family has been using the Evergreen Park location since they opened. My grandparents would order from there. I feel guilty writing such a negative review, but I'm hoping it will save someone this disappointment I experienced. It's not the same pizza. I don't know what Evergeen locations secret was, but they need to share it with their 111th st location and this one. I sadly need to find a new pizza place after 40 plus years. read more

We love this pizza! We have always ordered regular pizza, which is a delicious thin crust. Last nite we ordered Sicilian with ricotta, fresh tomatoes and spinach and sausage. Very disappointed in this Barracos location took my mother here this afternoon for her birthday lunch & the food was just not good the only thing that turned out okay was my garden salad we ordered calamari super undercooked and the spinach dip that tasted as if it was all cream cheese right out the packet plus the bread was almost wet and soggy because supposedly they steam it which is gross!!! I have been a Barraco's customer for over 30 years in Evergreen Park. I ordered from the Chicago location last night. The pizza was extremely dry and burnt on one end. I called the next day because I was leaving the house on delivery. The manager kept taking phone calls while talking to me and asked me what I expected him to do. He then said there is nothing I can do, you should have called yesterday and hung up the phone. The pizza is in my refrigerator going to the garbage. I will never order from Chicago again. Worst service I have ever experienced in my life. They screwed up my delivery order and when I called to complain the manager said he didn't believe me. I would never order from this place again. As far as pizza goes they are also at the bottom of my list; I prefer Milano's, Roseangela's, Chuck's and Fox's...and that's just in Beverly. 20 July 2019.... We arrived at this location at 10pm..sat down and I had to get menus myself from the front of the house. The waitress came to us at 1020 to see what we wanted to eat. After ordering 30 mins goes by when she returns to say that the meat for the mini burgers I ordered was bad. The manager after becoming aware of this issue never tried to rectify the issue of help the waitress since she was running the bar and the dining room. My girlfriend and I left hungry. Barraco's has gone downhill fast! I don't know if it's because of the fire at the Evergreen location, or bc Barraco's have gotten in over their heads with opening too many locations, but after being a customer for over 20 years, i am throwing in the towel. There seems to be no quality control anymore, or standards of whats acceptable to serve customers anymore. Tonight's delivery took an hour and a half, and the cheesy breadsticks were burnt, and the plastic containers filled watery marinara sauce, and alfredo sauce that the oil had separated from the sauce and were melted on the bottom. I basically paid to have garbage delivered bc its unedible. These breadsticks are awful! The last time we ordered, they delivered lasagna that was not cooked, literally!!!! I put it in the oven and cooked it myself, only to throw it away bc it tasted sour, and we were afraid of getting sick. Receiving garbage from barraco's has been going on for over a year now, and everytime we are disappointed. Whether it's pizza, or pasta, or they forgot something (like baking the lasagna before they deliver it)We keep going back bc it was always so good, we keep giving them another chance, but no more. It's not like Barracos is cheap either. You can get higher quality food from Pizza Hut or Dominos for half the price. Get it together Barraco's and stop ripping people off! read more

I've seen a lot of bad reviews here but I've only had one bad experience. Well the way they keep the food heated is not great when using styrofoam. Had melted styrofoam when I picked up my food, but at least it was still hot. The food is always great. I usually pick up the food cause they're less than a block away but my mom often gets delivery. My uncle got a fish sandwich with tartar sauce twice. And they forgot the tartar sauce both times. He tried it one more time, this time I called to order and explained the forgotten tartar sauce. I was assured that they wouldn't forget the tartar sauce. Well they forgot the tartar sauce. I called to see when I'd get it, and they informed me the delivery driver was on deliveries and we wouldn't get the tartar sauce until and hour later. I told her I'd wait. They never came back. My mom orders from here 1-2 times a month, so I'd like to think were regular customers. I deliver pizza for a different pizza place in Beverly. Whenever there's a mistake with someone's order, I go right back to the shop to get it fixed. One of our regulars lives 2 blocks away, and they forgot to make his ravioli, I made sure I could get it to him as soon as it was done. But here, I'm a regular customer that lives less than a block away and they couldn't get the tartar sauce that it took multiple times for them to forget for me to complain. Still haven't tried their tartar sauce yet, it must be so good since they never seem to have it. The food is still great. Their Alfredo is really good. And if I wasn't lactose intolerant and able to get free pizza whenever I wanted, I'd probably get their deep dish a lot more often. read more

My pizza arrived cold, which could be forgiven if it were not flavorless, the burgers I ordered for my children were dry and the fries were very oily, I have eaten here before and the food was okay but this time it was a huge miss. The driver was also late so maybe delivery is not their thing, either way, I will definitely not order here again, dine in nor take out, the food is too expensive to be that bad. read more

This Location is very racist! I order from online. The time that it said it would take was 1 hr. After 1 hr and a half past. I called to see where my pizza was. Brian one of the managers said it was in the way. 20 mins later. I call back Brian with an attitude, I said it was on the way. 2 hrs past still no pizza. I call Jenn answers the phone as soon as she answers she gives me attitude after she heard my voice. I ask where my pizza was and she said the driver Muhammad said, that when he came to the door I said I didn't want it. I'm exposing to the lady that no one came to my home and I've been calling back to back trying to see where my order was. She brushed me off defending the driver. Why would I call back if that was the case. She was very rude to me and showed no remorse for their error. When I asked what her name was she hung up on me. I had to call back and ask someone else. Ordered from Grubhub as I've done hundreds of times before. Order should have been delivered at 530pm CST. At 620pm and no delivery I call the restaurant. After numerous holds the lady finally comes back to the line and said we have a problem with our tablet and didn't get it. She told me to call Grubhub to get a credit. After Grubhub called the restaurant they said no we are not giving a credit and the food will be delivered in 5 minutes. Of course that did not happen. Oh by the way Barraco's never apologized. So i just ordered the calimari for delivery at midnight from this newer location and it was awful. Extremely salty and the breading was mushy AF. I don't know how they serve this. My GF and I pretty much just tossed it in the garage. Now I'm just speaking on this locations calimari because when I get it on 111th it's 10 times better. When I called to place my order the order taker was pleasant. The delivery person was nice and had the change needed for payment. The chicken tetrazzini was still warm from the oven.
