There has been some turnover in staff but they were just as friendly, helpful and professional as I remembered. I kept it casual and picked a Tofu Banh Mi which is a Vietnamese sandwich. It came with greens. I really enjoyed this dish. It was filling but didn't weigh me down. I ordered Wayward Lane Brewing Monarca Gold: A Mexican-style lager. It was very good but I have to admit I ordered because I liked the butterfly on the can. I actually liked my friend's dark smoked beer even better. Wayward Lane Brewing's Lifeblood looked like stout and tasted a bit like smoked bacon to me even though it was supposed to feature notes of toasted brown bread and caramelized sugar. My friend also had truffle ( mushroom) fries and a smash burger. He loved the meal. Dove & Deer is a pretty place. Attractive furniture and light fixtures. Big windows. The strawberries were sweet and soft and the maple syrup was great. The eggs were scrambled perfectly as well, with great flavor - shocking because most eggs are so flavorless. You get a choice of additional protein and I chose the maple sausage which was delicious as well. The only thing that could be improved was a bit more salt and/or pepper on the home fries but I guess most people use the ketchup that's given, so I understand the under seasoning. The service was friendly albeit infrequent, and that's just fine. Water is left on the table for self-service and that's really why I need additional service attention anyway. All in all, a great brunch place because it has lots of space and feels casual and comfortable. Try it.

From Michael the manager, meeting & greeting us to checking in on us while we were dining, to Emma, our server waiting on us, anticipating our every single need, to the food being cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend enough how this is the go to place in upstate NY. THIS IS THE PLACE We waited for a few members of our party with two martinis at the bar, which cost $38. I deconstructed the Cosmo, which was a splash of peach and kettle one which was a three dollar of charge for an $18 drink. We had the back room for a large party (9)Servers staff were friendly and accommodating. I was surprised at how long it took too get seated. The seafood tower of lovely had asked for warm butter. The side dishes are all à la carte but the potatoes and the asparagus excellent. Mistakes were done as ordered just been prepared for price shock. I recommend the crème brûlée for dessert and the naughty Irishman coffee.. overall was a nice experience with attentive, weight, staff and creative and with a sense of humor! I personally cannot afford to go there except for very special occasions. A meal at Ruth's Chris feels like an event. There's so much anticipation. Yes, the prices are high but it seems that you get what you pay for. A wonderful meal with top notch service and ambiance. I did not find it pretentious. I was concerned that it might be. There is no dress code. While some dressed up, others were casually dressed. One man even showed up in a very wrinkled shirt and the staff treated him as well as any other guest. The wait staff is amazing. Our server was Valbon. He was gracious, helpful and very thorough in describing food preparation. My friend had a Porterhouse Steak prepared medium well done with just a bit of pink. It was a massive steak. He said it was prepared perfectly. Same for the mashed potatoes and asparagus. I don't eat much red meat. Valbon recommended the sea bass for me. It was remarkably tender. I enjoyed the sautéd vegetables, too. I was amazed that I finished my entire meal. My friend took part of his giant steak home and enjoyed it the next day. I asked for a light cocktail. A vodka-based Lemon Drop martini was recommended for me. It's a popular drink there. It was just right. Ruth's Chris is a chain. I know that some people frown on eating at restaurant chains because of quality concerns. But Ruth's Chris is fine dining and the food preparation is apparently held to high standards. Our meals were enjoyable. It was our first time trying this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. They added decorations on our table and also gave my wife a small cake and candle which was a nice gesture. Steak was great and service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and even the manager stopped at our table to greet us. We will definitely come back.

It's an essential stop whenever I'm in Albany, striking that rare balance between upscale sophistication and genuinely warm hospitality. Under the leadership of Jaime Ortiz and Ken Kehn, the restaurant continues to deliver a consistently exceptional experience. We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation for five while celebrating a friend's 45th birthday. We arrived early to enjoy the outstanding happy hour offerings, including $11 well martinis, excellent deviled eggs, oysters, and duck wings. The next day, I reviewed the bar tab and noticed we had been charged $16 per martini instead of the happy hour price. Since we ordered several rounds, the difference was significant and also affected the gratuity, as we tipped 22 percent. To the restaurant's credit, when I returned and pointed out the mistake, the staff addressed it promptly and reimbursed us for most of the overcharge. 677 is a good choice if you're visiting for a celebratory steak dinner, a business meal, or cocktails at happy hour, every detail feels polished and thoughtfully executed. One standout is the Hanging Tomahawk for Two -- a dramatic 50-ounce prime cut, sliced tableside and paired with parmesan- and butter-breadcrumb-crusted fingerling potatoes. It's every bit as impressive as it sounds. What truly elevates the experience is the staff. They don't simply serve guests -- they anticipate needs before you even realize them. In an era when fine dining can sometimes feel formulaic, 677 Prime distinguishes itself through constant refinement and a commitment to making each visit better than the last. Easily one of the finest restaurants in Albany. One pro-tip: review your tab before paying.

I think many fathers have an idea of how they'd like to spend their special day. This particular dad (divorced) loves bbq. So we went. An adult son came along, too. I was not prepared for the spectacle. The large parking lot on Wolf Road in Colonie was very full. There was a line of people waiting outside. Some were standing while others were seated on cushioned benches. The management had pitched a tent at the front entrance where staff took care of check-in. I'd gone online before arriving and placed our party of three on the restaurant chain's online "waitlist" system. It sent me a text message telling us what time to arrive. We were right on time. The staff checked us in and ushered us inside. We were seated at a table within about five minutes. The restaurant doesn't take reservations but its waitlist system was remarkably efficient. Kudos to the staff for making it seem effortless. There were hundreds of people dining at the restaurant and yet we were greeted by three or four staffers who took our orders, checked on us repeatedly and kept bringing us refills of those deliciously warm bread rolls. Since this is most definitely a family restaurant--there are large monitors on the walls playing goofy videos and a tablet on each table with video games--to keep both children and adults occupied. In keeping with the Western theme there are longhorn window decorations and heads of bison, antelope, billy goats and deer on the walls. Our drinks were served almost immediately. I ordered a mocktail called passion fruit sparkler just in case I needed to be the designated driver. The entrees took a bit more time. With so many people to serve, we just had to be patient. So I played the games on the tablet. The server eventually arrived with my order of the beef tips in mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and cooked vegetables. The meal was hot and delicious. Everyone was happy with their meals. We were stuffed. I took half of my meal home. Who knew that Father's Day at the Texas Road House was a cultural event? A phenomenon of sorts. I'm still amazed how the staff made everything work so smoothly. With so many families to feed it could have ended up disastrous but it turned out to be just the opposite. My friend had a great day which was made even better when his son surprised us all by insisting on paying for the entire meal. Thanks Texas Road House.

Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent.
