My daughter & I boarded our 4 Yorkies here and could not have been more pleased :) I really enjoyed that could watch them play on the webcam and check on them anytime. Upon our return, all 4 of our babies were clean and did not smell like they had been kenneled for a week. After returning home, we receive an email that they had accidently overcharged us by $51 and would refund our credit card, which they did do. I would recommend this establishment for anyone's fur babies :) read more

Barney's Ranch is in the perfect location for me to easily get on and off the highway during rush hour to pick or drop off my dog. I take her here for day camp on occasions. The staff is very friendly and always seems to love on the dogs. My favorite thing about this camp is they leave the dogs outside all day so the aren't cooped up in a kennel. My dog isn't one to play with many other dogs but she does love to just be outside! The best part is the doggy cam where you can watch your dog all day long (it gets addicting). Love seeing how much fun they have and how often the employees attend to them. read more

Highly recommend this place. Nothing negative to say here. My dog Draper (70 lbs German Shorthaired Pointer) absolutely loves going to day care at Barney's Ranch. He gets to go around 3 times a week and is always a happy tired pup when I pick him up. I love that they know him by name, and they will even see my car pull in the parking lot and automatically call for him to be brought up to the front for pickup. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location isn't exactly on my way to work, but it is worth the detour! The webcam is always entertaining to watch, even my friends will watch it sometimes haha. Can't say enough good things about this place! Very glad I purchased a Groupon to try this place out last year!!! Try it out today!! read more

Barney's Ranch is awesome! My dog Sam's first visit was last week, for 3 days and 2 nights. Having the webcam made me feel very confident and as I watched quite a bit - I could see he was having a great time and getting a lot of exercise. It was highly recommended by several friends who use them on a regular basis. The cost for daycare and boarding was very reasonable. The staff is very caring and attentive, and didn't seem to mind me calling to check on him. Overall, a great experience and we will be back! read more

The first time we visited this place, we were automatically impressed with the cage free daycare, which allows your pet to run and play outside all day instead of being cooped up in the kennel. It is a very clean boarding and daycare service. The staff is always friendly and happy to see our dog. They take such good care of our Husky and know her by name when she walks in the door. They will feed your dog whenever you want them to be fed and however much your pup may need. You can call and check on your dog throughout the day during there hours of operation. Another added bonus that I love are the webcams that are located outside while they play and inside while they are in their kennels. I love the idea that there is always someone outside with them throughout the whole year to ensure that everyone is happy When we vacation in Dallas or Houston we drive one of the longest routes just to take our dog to them. We know and trust that she will be looked after and happy. We will not take her anywhere else while we are in Texas and we highly recommend Barney's Ranch to everyone that is looking for a place to take heir dogs for daycare and boarding. read more

I've never had my dog boarded so I'm not sure what to compare it to. However, after boarding my beagle here, I will never board her again. Everyone was nice but my first complaint was that they never asked me how much food to give her or any specifics. Second, she came back smelling so bad like she had been in the pound. Third, she was not her self. I thought she may have been tired so I ignored it until we went out. That's when I noticed that she had blood in her stool. I took her to vet and she had an infection, I believe she got from another dog. read more

I am fighting back tears due to my experience with my 5 month old Italian mastiff and this place. My tears are from anger and sadness. I will take responsibility for assuming that the owner & staff knew that an Italian mastiff was indeed a cane corso but that's about it. I had been corresponding and sending my pups vet records to the staff the entire week only to have them say yeah sounds great bring him for his trial! I drop him off this morning to get a phone call saying they had a problem because on my application I stated he was an Italian mastiff but his vet records say he's a cane corso and they don't take corsos.. My response was he is a mastiff, he said they aren't the same. He was rude. My fiancé then got off work early to pick him up because I felt they would not take care of him because of how rude he was to me. Titus came from the back scared, peeing all over the place and whining... All characteristics he does not display. It's so heartbreaking. Again, I can take responsibility for not doing better research but my pups experience at his first daycare was terrifying and we as owners feel responsible. Not only was the staff informing me I didn't know my breed but also did not care for my sweet pup. He's spoiled, so loved and just wants to cuddle. Please do your research before you take your dog here I do not want any owners to experience what we have! read more

Barney's Ranch - Here's our little guy! - Pet Boarding Near Me - Carrollton, Texas

Love this place. We found out through neighbors about this place. Our dog, Epson can have issues with other dogs if toys are around. They do not have any toys out for the dogs, which is AWESOME. He is so well behaved there and has never had a problem. He can be shy of people but he seems to love everyone there. The staff seems really knowledgable about dog behaviors. He has also had a few complimentary baths on days he likes to have a little too much fun! We have only boarded him once but had a great experience with that as well. When boarding, they also kept him out at daycare during the day so we was not cooped up in the kennel. Can't say enough great things about this place! read more

After visiting many MANY other doggie daycares this place appeared as if from the daycare gods. Clean. REALLY clean. Owners that are on site every day except Sunday. The owners work with rescue groups. Big plus in my book. You can tell the difference between people that are doing a job because they have to and people that love what they do. This is the latter. The cams they have are great- always up and running. They are installing some new misting fans and other upscale amenities by summer. I would board or day drop off anytime here. read more

This place is not good! I took my dog here for a week back in August and he came out soaked in urine and very sick. He was lethargic and would not eat or drink. I ended up having to take him to the vet 2 days after and spent $120 in vet fees and medications. He had gotten some kind of a viral infection. I won't bring my pet back here again. read more

I stumbled upon this place after purchasing a Groupon. What a gem! The people there LOVE, I mean are totally obsessed with dogs. They know Mister Beaux by name when I call up, they remember me. The last time I went he apparently got messy running around their acres of land and they bathed him for me at no charge. There is no place I would rather send my sweet Maltese. read more

We have been taking our high-energy Australian Shepard here about twice a week for almost a year now, and he absolutely loves it. It is a little bit out of the way to and from work, but it is well worth it! In the mornings before we take him, we ask him "Do you want to go to....daycare?!" - to which he flips out each time and gets so excited. Not only does he have a great time with the other dogs there, but he absolutely loves the staff -- so much so that when we pick him up, he is quicker to greet the front-desk staff/owners than he is to greet us! It is obvious that the staff is empathetic and extremely passionate about loving animals first and foremost, which is hands-down the most important quality for a place that watches your pet(s) all day. The staff and owners are very friendly and pleasant to dogs and customers alike, and they know all of the regulars' dogs by name just after one or two visits. A couple of times, our dog got pretty dirty and one of the staff members went ahead and gave him a free bath. They didn't have to do that, but it was a very nice gesture. The cost is affordable but the quality of care and facilities for the cost is incredible. Barney's has webcams on their site so that you can watch your dog(s), and the daycare facilities are outside -- two huge reasons for us to check it out for the first time. I enjoy tuning in from time to time at work to check on my dog and to watch him play with the other dogs. During the hot summer days, they alternate the dogs inside and out depending on your dog's stamina level, and they provide kiddie pools and shade for the dogs outside. They do a wonderful job keeping the dogs separated by weight/size/temperament, and there are no toys -- which is an absolute treat for us since we have a selfish toy-obsessed dog. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. If my dog could review Barney's, it is pretty obvious he'd give it 5 stars as well. :) read more

Barney's has been taking occasional care of my Cairn Terrier mix Petra for a couple years now. She was an 8 yr old shelter dog when I got her and she was clearly not properly socialized in her past life, but Barney's has found a way to integrate her into their group of visitors with no problems. They no longer offer grooming but otherwise I'm quite happy with the attentive service, and with the webcams that allow me to keep an eye on my dog while I'm road tripping. The bath on pick-up day is especially appreciated. read more

Our Edgar loves this place. The owners are always there and take the time to know each and every dog. The webcams are a huge plus too, and allow you to check in while you are away. He always comes home happy and healthy. read more

I'm torn on this review. Owners are nice and accommodating, but the dogs came home crazy sick after each boarding session in the past year. Last time was giardia and it required meds and multiple carpet cleaning sessions. Will likely try a new place next time. And yes, our dogs have been boarded on a regular basis throughout the years. read more

I have 5 Pomeranians (Zoe, Alfie, Gabby, Coco & Jiggy!) I had a last-minute dog sitter emergency on a Friday morning. Barney's came highly recommended and they did not disappoint!!! Took my herd with 6 hrs notice and took amazing care of them. I had one I didn't think would come home!! They will be my go-to sitters from now on!! Web cam is awesome. People there are great! I have 2 with medical situations, and they were extremely well looked after. Thank you Barney's Ranch for making this helicopter mom feel so at ease! read more

We just love leaving Sheldon at Barney's Ranch! It's one thing I never have to worry about! He has so much fun! He plays so much that he sleeps for two days when we get back into town! The staff is so friendly and always takes such great care of him and us! Highly recommend!! read more

My wife and I brought our doggies to Barney's for our July 2016 vacation for boarding. This was our second time boarding our fur babies and like most, who consider these cute furry creatures family, we were a little apprehensive. So after our thorough research we chose Barney's! We are so happy we did. We were able to watch Ace and Webster have a great time on the live video feed. We would log on to Barney's website once a day from the cruise ship and see them enjoying their time on their on vacation and this allowed us to enjoy ours! We are going on vacation soon and our doggies will do the same at Barney's! Thanks Barney"s! Rene and Emily Ace and Webster read more

We've been very pleased with Barney's Ranch after coming here based on a recomendation from a neighbor. Our small dogs enjoy playing in the yard with the other dogs, and the entire experience has never been anything but professional and pleasant. I have to highly recommend it as a safe and fun place to board your dogs. read more

Barney's is great! Lynk has been here for daycare a few times now and loves it! He is always exhausted when I pick him up, from playing so much. There is never a point during the day when I am unable to check on him via the webcams. Even though Lynk has only been a few times, the staff already know him by name. They are very nice and seem to really care about the animals. I highly recommend Barney's Ranch, and so does Lynk. :) read more

I have been taking my Jack Russell Terrier to Barney's Ranch for almost a year now. I was looking for an excellent place that was hopefully close to my office and I toured several daycare/boarding facilities. As soon as I walked into Barney's Ranch, I felt comfortable. After meeting Mathias and Bree (the owners), I knew why - taking care of your dog is not just their job but their passion and you sense that immediately. They and their staff seem to have a sixth sense about exactly what each dog needs and how to take care of them. We started out taking her to daycare a couple of days a week but I quickly realized that my girl loved being there with her friends so much that she needed to be an "Everydayer". With her high energy level, it has been a perfect solution. I really enjoy being able to watch her during the day with the webcam. It is a huge plus for me to be able to watch her playing with her friends or just relaxing. When I pick her up at the end of the day, she is tired and happy - AWESOMENESS! My husband and I have traveled a few times in the last year and of course Barney's is where we boarded her. I have absolutely no anxiety leaving her with Barneys and they are so nice when you call to check in on your baby. Also, the webcam really helps ease how much you miss them when you are away. I would highly recommend Barney's Ranch to anyone who is looking for a good place to leave your dog for the day or when you travel. Show message history read more

I'm the owner of a rambunctious 90 lb german Shepherd puppy. He requires tons of exercise and stimulation, so when I'm away from home, he goes here. He LOVES coming here, whether it's just for daycare or for a weekend stay. It's great knowing he won't be cooped up 23 hours a day. I can tell my dog really loves it there, he gets just as excited as if he's going to the park! read more

I absolutely love this place and so does my dog. He has been attending day care once a week for a year and a half. Each time he comes home happy and tired. My only complaint is that I wish they had better webcams. My 3 dogs loved their time here! The staff was really nice and very patient when I called checking on my fur-children each day I was out of town. My puppies also returned home to us freshly bathed! Loved these folks!!! Thanks!!!!!! read more

I have been bringing my dog, Bubba, here for 3 years now. Bubba is a sweet 30 lb Basenji Mix who prefers the company of humans over his K9 companions, so I was apprehensive to leave him at a boarding facility during my vacations. After extensive research, I decided on Barney's Ranch and couldn't be happier with my decision. The compassion that the owners have for the dogs is easily conveyed and Bubba always comes home happy and healthy. This last time I dropped him off, the owners greeted him by name and Bubba couldn't wait to go in the back play area. The webcams are wonderful and the staff eagerly told me of Bubba's good status when I couldn't help myself and called up there. Great Care, Clean Facilities, and People who love dogs! read more

We have been taking our dogs to Barney's Ranch for a year. We started when our pug Barley was just a tiny puppy. They have treated him and his yorkie brother Lucky like family from day one! The owners & staff are always friendly. When we call they always remember us & our dogs. They give plenty of feedback when we ask about the dogs' stay. When we call ahead of pick up and they bathe the dogs so they go home nice & clean. We wouldn't use anyplace else! read more

Barney's is great about working with rescue groups and individual owners. Working with rescue, I'm in and out of there a lot and see many folks who bring their personal dogs in for doggie day care 3-6 days a week! The dogs love it! read more

Our pups have been going to Barney's Ranch for about 2 years now. We love it! I visited many places before choosing Barney's and we couldn't be happier! Both our Dobermans are rescues so choosing a facility that made them comfortable and would work with our babies to get them social, without charging us extra, was a major plus. They are excited to go to daycare and always exhausted when we pick them up..... for hyper dogs, this is another plus. The owners, Matt and Bre, are wonderful, too. The facilities are always clean and the web cams are a great bonus. We've used various services at the daycare - grooming, shots, boarding - and we've never had a complaint. We highly recommend!! read more

I have taken both of my dogs, Chloe and Lexi here several times and I absolutely love it!! The Staff is so friendly and you can tell that they truly love dogs. I am definitely an over protective doggie mom, but my mind is at ease when they are here. I recommend Barneys to anyone! read more

Dylan Lopez had a blast and it was great to see him on the webcam!

I have been taking my dog to Barney's for over a year. I have boarded her for over a week when I have gone on trips, and I also regularly leave her during the day for doggy day care. The owners and staff have always been wonderful towards my dog and towards me. My dog has a particular bag that we use for overnight stays and when I take the bag out of the cabinet she starts wagging her tail; she knows the Barney's bag! When I am walking her towards the door to leave her for the day, she is practically pulling me through the door to get inside. So she is the one that lets me know that she enjoys her time there very much and loves the people that work there. My dog is a mixed breed around 50 pounds and a bit shy, a little on the introverted side, but she always seems to have a very good time at Barney's. In addition, once in a blue moon I have had to stay later than planned at work or a meeting which necessitated her staying the night after I only had planned for daycare (so no food, bed, etc for her because i had not brought her overnight bag). Once I got stuck in a bad traffic jam and knew I would be way too late to pick her up before closing. When I called to let them know of these circumstances, the owners were very accepting and understanding, and assured me that my dog would be well cared for. I have greatly appreciated their flexibility and their kindness. And I know my girl loves being there! I have recommended Barney's to my dog loving friends, and we often coordinate play dates there, where the whole pack can be together, and the folks at Barney's will even let them stay the night together in the same kennel since they know that they're pack friends. We love Barney's. read more

Having liked and seemingly enjoyed Barney's (BR), and considering that I wouldn't expect perfection as they do NOT cost a "silver platter's" cost to board your dog. IMHO some of the slight's other's gave Barney's were situations with my young dog I have found at a number of other dog places as well. It's somewhat timing, your dog's fit (including health Vs what may be going on in that environment THEN) to ANY dog environment. And not like ANY boarding service can at THAT time know every bug PENDING in every dog. IMO any bad experiences are more than all in any staff's control. Short of spending a ton to have your dog alone with prescreened AND limited other dogs that is the nature of Boarding. You're dog's fit with what is offered (I felt very good about) at that time. Frankly, while I want the best for my young dog I do not want to pay notably more for it. As MY YOUNG dog has done great there, AND I think BR offers good value and service, I like them lots. read more

Barney's is run by a young couple, Matt and Brie, who work 7 days a week. I found them on Groupon where they had a great offer. Before that I had never taken my dog to Barney's. Now I take him in at 7 a.m. 10 minutes later I can see him playing on the web cam. He gets to play and socialize all day--almost never stuck in a crate. He comes home tired and ready to eat and sleep--just like I want. As good as it gets. P.S. You should always check other day care web cams to see how much or how little the dogs get to play. Get your money's worth. read more

Been using Barney's for almost 4 years now. Love these guys, they always take great care of Riley and Jo while we're on the road. Super accommodating even taking Riley on an extra walk outside so we could see her on the dog cam when we were feeling a bit homesick. read more

The dog is happy, so we are happy. The staff is so kind, puppy cam makes it easy to spy on him during the day, and the dog comes home exhausted. We've boarded him several times and we're still going- the prices are fair, and the one time we had an issue (no one's fault, dogs were playing and his cornea got scratched), we sent over a copy of the vet bill and it was taken care of, no problem (and some meds, he was fine). They make sure he has his meals on his schedule and even give him his fish oil pill and his favorite toy at night. It's easy to make a reservation, as well. Recommended! read more

We decided to go to NOLA for the super bowl and I needed a place to board my little 6 pound chorkie for the weekend. A coworker recommened Barney's and I looked them up. Their prices are the best in the area and they are close to my house. I called and they were very helpful and took my last minute reservation for the next day. The owners were sweet and drop off and pick up was easy. Duffy came back happy and normal; will bring her back here. read more

My dog has been going to this daycare for 7 years and although this location is far from our home, we keep coming back. My dog comes back exhausted and happy! He has the tendency to overdo it, and when he has, Barney's staff made sure he gets the rest he needs. Only con is their Sunday pick-up hours as that is usually when we return from trips. read more
