This location has a great selection with a super friendly staff. There are plenty of places to sit and peruse the books and no one bothers you. I love the cookies at the cafe too! The parking lot can be a bit dicey with people speeding so just be careful walking in. read more

Not the biggest but hands down, the best Barnes & Noble I've been to. Large cafe, comfy seats, great arrangements of shelves, and welcoming atmosphere make this book store a wonderful place for book lovers to devour knowledge, relax, and sip coffee or tea. Prices of books are still higher than the ones you can find at Amazon but it's such a pleasure to browse and discover in a book shop that provides an inviting atmosphere. read more

Beautiful. Large. Little of everything....which makes it possible that they don't have enough of any one genre. This felt more like a show room. A beautiful showroom. Many of the gifts and stationary were a bit expensive. My friend and I were also on the hunt for a game. Found one. Again, not a lot of choices. Clean. Plenty of places to sit. read more

This location had to grow on me a little because of the renovation. I love the way the stores used to look before they all renovated to a less cozy, more modern look. But, this location always has what I need and has probably become one my favorite B&N location in the area. The staff is always very nice and they get through a long line of customers very quickly in the checkout line as they always have plenty of people working. The cafe is always quick with drinks too. Usually if the store near me doesn't have a book I want, this location always does, and I can get in and out quickly. Can't wait to take another trip to Cary to visit again. read more

My wife and I came here for a book signing. The line was insane, going back and forth between the front and back of the store several times. The employees did an excellent job of keeping the aisles clear, though, and of coordinating so many people. The store is clean, bright, and inviting. I don't know if it's just been a while since I was in a Barnes & Noble, or if this one has a bigger selection than I'm used to, or both. But, this place had an impressive selection of books. I was especially pleased with the children and young adult sections as I was thinking about my granddaughters. They are still young but as a grandfather, it's important for me to plan ahead and spoil them :-) They had a nice selection of reduced items, too, and some of the prices were quite low for the products being offered. Overall I have nothing but accolades for this store and give them 5 stars. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT & EMPLOYEES: *The person in the picture comes EVERY DAY and paints. *Occupies a full table with his set up - preventing customers from utilizing it to eat or drink coffee bought or to sit and read. *He takes NAPS regularly, again preventing others from using the table. *He HARESSES customers by forcing himself on them by approaching them with his paintings, trying to solicit sales. Or, will randomly do the same showing pics on his phone of his merchandise, again soliciting a sale. *People have COMPLAINED to the MANAGER and employees that the store is being run like a flea market instead of a business. MANAeGER HAS NO CLUE Store only has 4 unisex bathrooms. Incredibly, EVERY ONE of the toilet seats is loose. Have been for MONTHS. All it takes is for someone to tighten the bolts holding the seats to correct it. Yet, she has no sense of responsibility or professionalism. Consequently, customers take a risk sitting on it not realizing it will slide to one side or the other. EMPLOYEES REFLECT THE MANAGER 30% of the employees are within the "normal" spectrum of society in terms of appearance and personality. The rest are more interested in forcing their atypical persona and presence on customers with their commiserating attitudes. The employees do not know that they're working - especially at a bookstore - thus it is not appropriate to laugh out loud amongst themselves where customers can hear them from the other end of the store. There is no baseline societal decorum at this place as the manager does not know what acceptable behavior by adults or children is, hence cannot train the employees to deal with circumstances that should not be tolerated. This is a spacious Barnes & Noble that has a wide selection of certain genres and at least a few of every genre. I found one of the things I was looking for and my 7 year old added something to his wishlist. Some things are expensive considering that many items can be found online and delivered the next day with free shipping. I realize there is a lot of overhead to pay for a brick and mortar store but this B&N is also great for grabbing a cup of coffee or finding a spot to relax while browsing. Overall, it's a great spot for finding books, games, and gifts for book lovers. read more

Beautiful book store in Cary. They have really expanded and added many cool options at the store. I loved all the displays and the spaciousness of the store. They could use a little more seating though for patrons that want to take time looking at material. My friends tried a cookie and speciality coffee and were super excited about this. I'm always a fan of bookstores, and this Barnes & Noble is no exception. I was recently shopping at the Trader Joe's in the same plaza and figured I might as well stop in. It was super busy so it's great to see a lot of people buying books this holiday season. Their Barnes & Noble café was definitely crowded- plenty of people working and reading and just hanging out with their coffee. The store itself is super large. I think it was spread out and nicely, it was easy to find the new releases, they had a huge non-fiction section which kind of surprised me. I also appreciated that they had an entire section dedicated to Sarah J Maas because she is the queen. I would love for them to do more sales once in a while, there were a few bestsellers that were 50% off. Overall I think this is a great book store to check out if you're in the area. Plenty of friendly employees were around helping the folks who needed it. read more

Definitely not coming here again, Barns and nobles has lost their way. It's a shame to see. Books are cheaper online anyways.

This is more of a showroom than a bookstore. What happened to the original and cozy feel of the B&N stores? I could spend hours in there just perusing the secluded aisles, content in my own little world. But now it looks like a sterile art exhibit with not nearly as much space either, so people are constantly squeezing past you & encroaching on your personal space. I am beyond disappointed in this new design, it has honestly ruined the store for me. Their prices have gotta ridiculous anyway, guess I'll be sticking to small businesses & online discount stores. read more

The book part of the new store is amazing but the cafe lacks warmth and atmosphere, too sterile. Some art work and plants would be a nice touch. Need more tables for 2 as one person with a computer takes up a table for 4! The tables could be arranged for a more welcoming look and perhaps having some comfortable rounded chairs with a small table between them. The sun causes glare through the front windows so a pull down blind would be helpful. read more

I like this store. Inside it is really nice. I went on a weekday morning and it was not crowded. Checkout still took a while as the cashier was chatting a while with the one customer in front of me. There is a ton of trash in front of the store which is very unsightly. I told the manager about the trash and she said it is the property management company's responsibility. I think I would go out there with a trash bag and clean it up if I worked there. read more
